Within only two days, the vehicle began idling roughly, the check engine light came on, and my sister noticed a strong oil smell and oil leaking around the engine. We gave the dealership an opportunity to fix the vehicle. They claimed the problem was the fuel injectors, said they repaired them, and returned the vehicle to my sister, telling her it was "good to go." That same day, smoke began coming from under the hood. The following day, heavy smoke entered the vehicle through the air-conditioning system while my sister and her newborn daughter were inside. This was dangerous and completely unacceptable. I had Midas perform a diagnostic inspection, and they found oil leaking from several locations, including the valve cover, timing cover, oil pan, rear main seal, and oil cooler housing. Their technician specifically documented that these were "not fresh oil leaks" and that the vehicle had been leaking for quite some time. Despite this, the dealership refused to take responsibility, provide a refund, or cover the necessary repairs. I am including photos of the oil leaks because people deserve to see the condition of the vehicle we were sold. Returning the vehicle after an unsuccessful repair and saying it was safe to drive put my sister and newborn niece in a dangerous situation. Based on our experience, I would never purchase another vehicle from Hillsborough Auto Sales, and I would not recommend them to anyone.

They spoke Spanish to the finance company of which I didn't understand and the price of the car went up by at least $3,000.00 without my knowing it when I got the bill of sales 2 weeks later from the finance company. I was there from 10:00 am until closing (sick and just wanted to go home). Salesman went home before I did because he took someone else to sell a car to and I had to find someone else to help me. They took advantage of an elderly woman who was alone. Shame on them.
