Within only two days, the vehicle began idling roughly, the check engine light came on, and my sister noticed a strong oil smell and oil leaking around the engine. We gave the dealership an opportunity to fix the vehicle. They claimed the problem was the fuel injectors, said they repaired them, and returned the vehicle to my sister, telling her it was "good to go." That same day, smoke began coming from under the hood. The following day, heavy smoke entered the vehicle through the air-conditioning system while my sister and her newborn daughter were inside. This was dangerous and completely unacceptable. I had Midas perform a diagnostic inspection, and they found oil leaking from several locations, including the valve cover, timing cover, oil pan, rear main seal, and oil cooler housing. Their technician specifically documented that these were "not fresh oil leaks" and that the vehicle had been leaking for quite some time. Despite this, the dealership refused to take responsibility, provide a refund, or cover the necessary repairs. I am including photos of the oil leaks because people deserve to see the condition of the vehicle we were sold. Returning the vehicle after an unsuccessful repair and saying it was safe to drive put my sister and newborn niece in a dangerous situation. Based on our experience, I would never purchase another vehicle from Hillsborough Auto Sales, and I would not recommend them to anyone.

They spoke Spanish to the finance company of which I didn't understand and the price of the car went up by at least $3,000.00 without my knowing it when I got the bill of sales 2 weeks later from the finance company. I was there from 10:00 am until closing (sick and just wanted to go home). Salesman went home before I did because he took someone else to sell a car to and I had to find someone else to help me. They took advantage of an elderly woman who was alone. Shame on them.

This is the most dishonest dealership I've ever been associated with. Avoid Bill Currie Ford, there…read moreare too many good dealerships to deal with. So many issues: 1) Deceptive lowball advertizing. Beware the * where they will try to upcharge you for rebates that no one is eligible for or that can not be combined. "Reconditioning fees" "Certification fees" "Bill Currie Advantage" which lists stuff Ford gives for free (like oil changes). Unnecessary add ons, like a cutrate GPS "system" when provides Ford Pass for free. 2) Both new car and used car prep work never done, denied, done incorrectly, overcharged, or after long delays. I can provide dozens of examples. 3) Systematic payroll shortages that are almost impossible to get corrected. You have to beg for a "washout" that shows what you were paid on, riddled with errors. So much so I believe it is a profit center. This is one of the reasons for the huge turnover in sales and service. 3) Hundreds, if not a few thousand of their positive reviews are fake or coerced. I've heard "We have to bury" some more negative reviews. 4) Here's a great example below. They are self insured. After changing surgeons and hospitals because USF didn't want to tell me it would be accepted, I ended up with the shortage below for skin cancer surgery. Mind you there was supposed to be a $6000 max out of pocket that I had already paid over $11000 up front in order to get service. 5) An incredibly toxic work environment, full of MAGA favoritism.
