However, a sweet lady called me back that Sunday ,because of the message I left and the level of pain I was in. She was patient, attentive, and kind. She heard my concerns, and assessed my problem, and gave me the earliest emergency slot appointment available. Monday morning, I showed up in a terrible condition-tons of pain that I never felt in my life. This office was completely understanding. Sometime when your sick, and out in Public the way people act can make you feel worse, especially if they are inconsiderate, however this office was never ever like that! Each person in the office was kind and helpful, from the moment I walked in I was assisted. When I got back, Doctor Lapco was so attentive, and kind. He gave me a fist bump, and made me feel comfortable and welcomed despite my "Self-Pay" status. He was not able to take a culture thanks to the level of swelling of my ear, but thanks to him inserting a cotton for collection of the antibiotic I was able to finally feel the antibiotic effects, thus the healing process could begin. Without that, the swelling would have blocked the medications from really having any effected - like it did all weekend prior. When I left the exam room, the front desk staff was able to assist in setting me up a follow up appointment, and despite my financial situation they really worked with me. I had to come back to get rechecked but being that I already made my way to the Urgent care and was out a few hundred dollars to no avail in fixing this problem, they were understanding and helping me out by not charging me the follow up appointment. This came as a surprise to me when I called still in pain asking for guidance on what to do. Thanks to this doctor, and his staff I was all better in 1 full week. He gave me good advice on my follow up appointment to keep from having to come back, advice I intend to follow. Thank you Dr. Paul Lapco, and staff for all your consideration, speedy assistance, and kindness. I am forever grateful.

After seeing this doctor today for a sinus infection ,I must say he is one of the most…read moreprofessional, competent and thorough doctors I have seen in a long time. He did not rush, exam was very in depth and treatment was ordered. Office staff very friendly too! Thank you Lynn and Leeann. I would recommend this practice to all needing ENT services. Even to a snow bird like me, I was even given an appointment within 48 hours of calling! Exceptional time frame for a specialist. I'm looking forward to his follow up next week (and hoping to feel better) I am not aware of the prior reviews accuracy but I am a retired RN from NEw York. I cannot agree with any of the negative reviews based on my experience with this practice. The doctor is an ENT ...checking all 3 areas is appropriate when there are issues noted...Patients should check insurance Coverage and prices before services are rendered. Patients also have the right to refuse treatment. However if they do, then they are responsible for possibly interfering with prudent medical care and treatment.

Everytime my primary care does what Kupferman office says they change First 3 codes are needed then 7 codes than 5 codes I had to call my insurance Humana and they called Kupferman's office and told them they were doing it wrong . They didn't listen I called their office manager, Karen, three times and left messages never an answer A simple referral turned into 17 phone calls and still no appt . Didn't see the doctor. Will go elswhere Does the Dr know his staff is INCOMPETENT ?

One day I woke up with a hearing loss in my left ear & did not know or understand the severity of…read morethis medical emergency. After visiting & speaking with Layne, my hearing aid specialist, about my problem, he called Dr. Heist, shared the history & instructed me to see an ENT specialist immediately! Not in a month, not in a week, ASAP. He impressed upon me that hearing can sometimes be restored within 48-72 hours with prompt aggressive treatment with Prednisone. Only due to his diligence to inform me & emphasis of a narrow time window for treatment, did I seek a medical doctor. Assuming his assessment was accurate, he explained how a prescription for Prednisone was required immediately. I saw a doctor & learned Layne was correct in his diagnosis. I was SO EXTREMELY grateful to him for his knowledge and care for my situation. The doctor asked me to be assessed by his audiologist. The results duplicated Layne's. Additionally, he wanted me to have follow-up care. Because of the knowledge, relationship, comfort and care I received from Layne, I told the doctor I would return to him for the follow-up audiology care. I have the utmost confidence in all of the members of the Hearing Center of Broward. They are a very close knit family like office, whom treats everyone with undivided attention and care. They are the BEST! I give them the HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION I can offer for the professionalism and knowledge in their field. Thank you for the EXCELLENT CARE you have provided to me, not only in this dire situation, but also for the four years I have been visiting your for my hearing aid care. Sincerely with Thanks! Tracy

The staff is warm and welcoming, the doctors talk with me like I'm a human being.... I've always been super nervous about doctor visits until I began coming to Southwest Medical. They make me feel like I'm in the right place with the right people. Only thing I would suggest for improvement is doing specialist referrals with a bit more efficiency. Other than that, no complaints at all.

I was treated as if I wasn't a human being and believe the machine wasn't even hooked up properly. I found out later my wrist heart rate monitor should've been removed for the EKG and they never even said anything about that. Had an appointment with a doctor, but a nurse came in and told me she was the doctor. Then she tried to convince me that my EKG results had a concern but not to worry they had an in-house cardiologist. She also had trouble reading the documents I had arrived with which was the reason the appointment was made in the first place. She spoke no English and we had a very hard time communicating. I kept asking for the doctor since I had made an appointment with a Dr. Felix Labrador. She insisted that she was a doctor and she will be taking care of me. I confirmed on the way out that she is not a doctor but a nurse. Then she tried to tell me I had to make separate appointments for the lab work. Started to getting the ick and it felt like it was all about just getting more reasons to bill me. Everything felt off so all I wanted to do was get out. Told her I would reschedule for later and come back. This was a lie. I was very uncomfortable. And on my way out another man now in English fighting at the front desk also about billing. This place is extremely unprofessional, and very likely unethical practices are occurring.
