Her kindness, knowledge, and encouragement made all the difference for me. Dr. Michelle Diaz, who performed my LASIK procedure, was equally amazing. She was professional, reassuring, and highly skilled, making me feel completely confident and at ease on surgery day. The procedure itself was quick, smooth, and much easier than I expected. Because of the outstanding care I received from both Michelle Murray and Dr. Diaz, I will absolutely be recommending Atlantic Eye to my family--not only for LASIK, but also for regular eye care appointments as well. Thankfully it was a pleasant stressfree experience and I 1000% will return. I've had two appointments here. The first was to get a new prescription. And it was the usual…read moreappointment. They were on time, did the usual tests and I saw the doctor within minutes. She said she wanted me to return for another test. Whole thing took about 30 minutes more or less what I'm used to. So we arrived today at our appointment time. It was 30 minutes to be seen for the first tests, one for my peripheral vision. Then they tested my eye pressure and vision and sent me back to the waiting room to see the optometrist. And I'm still waiting. It's been 35 minutes. By the time I see the optometrist it will have been a two hour appointment which, I can most certainly say, is the longest appointment I've ever had at an optometrist in 62 years of wearing glasses. And I'm still not sure why I'm here. I'd understand if I had some kind of eye disease or process that requires extensive testing. But this? As I said I'm still not sure why I am here. So once I'm seen it's the last time I'll come here. Don't get me wrong. The staff are nice and professional. But this is a ridiculous wait for an ordinary appointment. You'd think I was at the ER.

When I later inquired about exchanging the unused lenses, they denied the possibility, only for my insurance to confirm that I should have been given my preferred contacts from the start. Rather than informing me of all my options upfront, they withheld crucial information, causing unnecessary frustration and financial strain. They only changed course **after** my insurance contacted them, which makes it clear that they had the facts all along but failed to act in my best interest. Whether due to negligence or greed, this experience was unacceptable. Patients deserve honesty and providers who prioritize their well-being--not ones who make things harder for them.

The office features the latest designer frames in a warm and inviting atmosphere without feeling too overwhelmed. The staff was incredibly welcoming while promptly confirming my details from the patient intake/insurance form. Dr. Poon was quickly available to start my exam utilizing new and state-of-the-art equipment. She was engaging, thorough in her examination and took the time to discuss how my vision might change with age and even recommended Ocusoft Hypochlor Gel for my dry skin patch on my eyelid that I get occasionally during allergy season. Yesterday I had a bit of an eye emergency. I've been dealing with a stye since last week and it got…read moreworse over the weekend (it grossed me out). My eye was swollen, my vision started to become blurry, and it was uncomfortable. I called Atlantic Eye Institute to see if they could fit me in for a same day appointment. I was NOT holding out hope, but when I called I was pleasantly surprised they had something open that afternoon. When I arrived I filled out virtual paperwork, and then waited in the lobby until my name was called. I can't remember the nurse I had, but she was pleasant, asked a bunch of questions regarding the state of my eye, did some observations, and then walked me to an open room. Dr. Diaz came in happy as a clam. Greeted me with a nurse. I told her I was sorry that my eye looked disgusting and she smiled and said these are interesting to us. So that made me feel somewhat better. After looking at my eye, she decided to drain the stye, due to the size, the discomfort I was having. It didn't hurt, she prescribed me a steroid antibiotic cream, and made me a follow up appointment and I was on my way. I was happy and grateful they could fit me in on the same day, because I was miserable before I came in.

Optical department definitely needs a remake on customer service…read more I dropped off an old frame to get fitted with new lenses in good condition only to be called back letting me know they broke my frame and I would have to pay for a new frame (their error but I paid the price) ? I called management - they promised I would receive a call back from the manager in optical - I've yet to receive a call or my refund that I paid! And to put the cherry on top of my experience - when collecting my new glasses - I was told they were upfront in the reception area. Normally when you get new frames - the optical technician checks to see if the glasses fit properly but they refused to do and I am appalled at this since I paid for a new frame! And all this because I called to make a complaint that I had to pay for a new frame when I left my old frame in good condition. Atlantic eye institute do better with your optical customer service!!! I was expecting a call back from optical which I never did receive! I was expecting my refund on a frame that I had to pay for which no mention was made of. And most certainly was expecting when picking up my new frame that a fitting would have been taken care of and see how the glasses fit but instead they were left at reception - absolutely appalling!

I have been considering this for literally 20 years and I finally got the courage to do it. The price was competitive, the doctors bedside manner was fantastic. The staff was a well oiled machine. It was almost too much of a well oiled machine, but seriously, it was good. The follow appointments were timely, they kept me informed of everything I needed to know. I really enjoyed the entire process other than , the obvious discomfort from having your eyeball lasered. my vision was so much better. Literally, this was the best choice I ever made and I'm kicking myself for having waited so long. If you're thinking about it, I think you get a free consultation. Just do it. It's literally life-changing.
