The interior is surprisingly large with a spacious dining room to the right, more seating near the bar, and even an outdoor space that had live music when we went. Spicy Beef Nachos Appetizer: Chips topped with queso, green onions, jalapeños, black olives, tomatoes, guacamole, and sour cream. My friend got this and I had a couple bites. Chips were not soggy and it was large enough to cover as his dinner. Green Chile Burger: Topped with monterey jack cheese and roasted chopped Chaves County-grown hot green chile. Served on a jalapeño bun with a side of our hot green chile sauce. Their signature burger and it tasted good. I don't need too much food but the amount of fries I got was too little even for me. Got two Johnny Walker Blacks with a splash of coke and they came well mixed and quickly. We did end up getting rained in and hilariously went back for a second dinner to wait out the rain. Black corn taquitos were OK, I would not get the fried shrimp basked again, the shrimp was too small and there was too much breading.

The hostess (whose name I forget) went out of her way to take special care of our huge group of 10 people who dropped in on her on a busy night. Our server Heather was a total rock star! She had never heard of Pink Floyd (heresy!) but treated us like royalty. All in all I would have to believe that Peppers treats every single customer like this - and highly recommend a stop.

Leaving work after a long day, I knew I wanted steak. I'm not from Roswell, so I had to rely on…read moreYelp and Google to tell me what was available. Now the other alternative was Texas Roadhouse. Don't get me wrong, I'm regionally from where Texas Roadhouse was founded and it's huge, especially where I'm from. But part of my philosophy when traveling is to try someplace new, traditionally NOT a chain. So I gave this a shot. Cattle Baron reminds me of those old school steakhouses in the 90s that served steaks and an AYCE salad bar. Except it's much nicer ambiance-wise with a broader menu. I ordered the largest ribeye steak they had with a loaded baked potato, unlimited salad bar, a Coca-Cola, and a brownie for dessert. The total for ALL that ended up being $48.35. That's really cheap considering I had to be rolled out on a stretcher (joking). The most expensive item was the steak, in the $30-range but an unlimited salad bar for $4.95 and dessert for $6.95 can't be beat. The salad bar had everything you'd want in a salad bar with fresh veggies and toppings along with two soups, premade salads, and a sampling of sweet items like jello and fruit. I got 2 plates from the bar and two small bowls of soup. The steak and potato soup was good but the chicken soup was a bit salty for my taste. My steak and loaded potato was good and hit the spot. The potato was kind of dry, assuming it was a potato, already cooked hours ago and they just pulled it out to serve to me. After smothering it in butter and sour cream, the dryness disappeared. The steak was cooked medium rare, so no issues there but there was very little seasoning. I added salt and pepper to it, which made it a lot better. I wish it had a little bit more searing/char to it. I ended the meal with a brownie and ice cream, with caramel drizzle. The brownie was fairly large and warm, with a nice scoop of ice cream and ample ribbons of caramel sauce. It was really delicious and not too overly sweet! It definitely put me over the food coma edge. Service was good, but slow. My waitress explained to me that it was slow because a table of 39 people showed up, so she apologized. It didn't bother me though because I was so tired from working nearly 12 hours that day. I'm glad I supported local and my meal was definitely worth the price.

The service was okay, but the food lacked flavor and was disappointing. To make matters worse, the…read moreprice listed on the menu did not match the amount charged on my final receipt. We rolled into Roswell to do some sight seeing and this place was right behind our hotel - perfect. It was a Monday at 1:30p and the place was half full. Nobody at the hostess station, but we can see staff sees us so we wait and wait and wait. Finally we get a table and we realize, while the place is half full, there are 3 large parties (10+ people) and the bar is packed (not a seat to be had). We should have just left, but they grabbed our drink order and told us one of the groups was leaving and it was all good. Yeah, no, it wasn't. The Mormon missionary group of about a dozen next to us seemed to have a table, 12 waters and EACH individually ordered a take out meal and had to b checked out as 12 different tickets! The other table of ten on our right seemed to have put in drink and food orders and had been waiting for who knows how long. Finally, after another 15m the hostess asked for our drink orders again and said she would get them as our waitress was taxed. OK. She comes over with two random beers and I look at her and am like, this isn't what we ordered (twice) and she just looks puzzled (about 5 minutes later after wandering and asking around it ends up being two drinks for the table next to us). We still have no drinks. We are about to leave when the waitress comes and apologizes and runs to get our beers. Then she gets our order and can tell we are little annoyed. I must say after this everything came out fast and we got out in like 20m after that - because who wants to sit around and be ignored anymore. Not a great experience. Food was fine. Service was abysmal.
