I felt good about deal until I went to sign papers. I signed blank pages to start and later was sold several warranties that were on my closing statement, I only seen my figures when I was handed a envelope with the contract included. I am no old fool I was really overloaded with coverage that I needed and really could do without. I decided that even though they loaded me up I will keep the coverage. We recently purchased a Pre-owned "ToyotaCertified" 2024 Tacoma from Florence Toyota. When we test drove the vehicle, we noticed the tire pressure light was on. We said something about it and we were told that it had just been serviced and that the light would most likely go off as we drove it home...it just needed some time. When we got home the tire pressure in one tire was down to 21 lbs. We found out it had a plug in it that had not been inserted well. When we paid to have it replugged, we were told it was a fairly large hole and the new plug may not hold. We have called the dealership repeatedly to try and resolve this issue and have gotten nothing but excuses. It is insane that you can spend almost $50k on a vehicle here and they are unwilling to replace one tire to do right by their customer. Additionally, the vehicle did not have an owners manual. We also have had to pester the salesman for weeks to get that mailed to us. So many excuses, absolutely poor customer service and an absolute failure of management. I took my 4 runner in for a routine service as I always do every five thousand miles. I was told that my lower control arm needed to be replaced as it had a crack in it. However, when the mechanic sent me the video that is done for each service appointment of my vehicle he failed to put the camera at the lower control arm that was supposedly cracked. I was given an estimate to replace it at nearly $2,000 part and labor. I was also told that I needed to replace my battery as well. I'm glad that I refused both. The mechanic lied. I took my vehicle to another repair shop and there is no crack on my lower control arm and my battery do not need to be replaced. I guess because I am a woman they thought I was going to be quick to say yes to the repairs. Shame on you for trying to take advantage of loyal customers that come for service every five thousand miles. I will not be back. read more

My 84-year-old elderly father dropped his truck off to Justin Bennett on 8/4/25 it is 8/19/25 and his truck is still not ready, Justin is rude and racist, he going say why would your father wait for his truck, because you told him it would be ready 2 weeks ago. We drove 2 hours from Charlotte to purchase a car after speaking to two sales people confirming we were on the way. We spoke to them the night before and the morning of at 9am and we arrived by 12pm and they proceeded to tell us THEY SOLD THE EXACT CAR WE WERE COMING TO PURCHASE. I called 3 times and was on hold twice for 15 minutes only get hung up on. What I went in there was for a simple fix. SRS airbag system malfunction. I never heard anything back from the service dept after the first day. I ended up having to call them back, which is a disaster; to follow up. 3 days passed by without my truck that I just bought from them a week and a half prior for an issue that should have been caught during their inspection before selling. I had to call back on the third day and ask for a loaner vehicle myself without being offered. Poor customer service. Not happy at all with the way my new to me truck issue was handled. The only reason they get one star is because you have to leave at least one. I went for preventive maintenance as required on my vehicle and was treated horribly. Told there was no way I received a text telling me my vehicle was done at 1154 am because it was not and I must of read it wrong, this after sitting patiently until 1230 and then I went out and asked if I was ever going to get my car back. I know I refused the preventive maintenance on a vehicle with less than 20000 miles that would have cost me over 3000$ but I still bought a vehicle from you. I do not like being treated like an idiot and my time is worth as much as yours. I should of stuck with the local Honda dealer as was always treated respectfully there. I've met with several Service advisors. Be careful... they will upsale you. Also, I guess my fault because I left a bag in my console that was not there after I left... Again my fault. However, the character of the person that took it makes a bad reflection on the rest. The last service we had will be our last. We will not use them for any purchases in the future. We were told we needed over $3000 of work. My husband was a front-end specialist and checked the major repair recommended. No repair needed. Service was good. As far as I know they did what they said they did to the car. I asked to have something fixed and offered to pay for it, but they forgot. I was told I could come back next week because they didn't have time to do it that day. The cost of tge Labor was $2000. I was there 4 1/2 hours. That is a little less than $500 an hour. However there labor per hour is advertised less than that, so I was overcharged. read more

I don't know what is going on with the service rep Tabitha, but she really needs to reevaluate her job with the public. I wanted to do a nice thing for my mother and scheduled an appointment to have CarPlay installed in her 2018 Camry. $300 later (for a software update) my mother came in to pick up her car. I specifically had asked if they could just assist her with connecting the phone to it. I was told it was no problem. Well apparently when she got there a few things this Tabitha said to her was. 1. You don't even need that I don't even have that in my car. (Don't care, I'm PAYING for this) 2. We don't do that. (It's your job or someone there) This is a service that was paid for and offered by Toyota. If you aren't sure how it works or how to assist, FIND SOMEONE. Don't be condescending and don't be rude. Luckily there was another advisor Christopher there that overheard the whole incident and stepped in when Tabitha walked away. He assisted my mom in getting her phone connected and a quick 5 minute walk through. This was perfect. THIS is what you should expect for customer service. I have worked in the restaurant/bar industry for over 20 years. People like this Tabitha need to be put in check. I see from the other reviews this isn't an isolated incident, yet apparently the management at this dealership just don't care. I was having trouble with one of my seats not folding down flat and have had this problem once before before I bought the car. When I bought my car from another dealership they fixed it in literally 5 minutes. They said it was a quick easy fix and that a cable had just came out of place. So I made an appointment to the nearest dealership because I thought it would be quick and easy like last time. When I brought it to this dealership to fix, they said the part I apparently needed to fix the seat was going to be $50 and the labor was going to be around an hour so the total cost was around $200. And that they didn't have the part so I would have to come back in a few days. I said it shouldn't need a part to fix it that the cable or something came out of place. They didn't hear me out of look at my car first before recommending these things. I said I'm good; that price is outrageous. When I left I found a 3 minute YouTube video that had my same exact model 4Runner. Come to find out I was right it was literally a 5 minute fix. They tried to rip me off. Two months later I came back for an oil change and a service agent came to me with the paperwork showing me I needed a brake job! We found a 2020 Ford F150 on their site yesterday morning and filled out the check availability form. Got a call from Kayla saying the truck was available and wanted to know when we could come in to take it for a test drive. We told her we'd be there in about an hour. When we get to the dealership, we were greeted and got checked in. They informed us that the truck was a fresh trade and was still getting inspected before being sold. We go look at the truck and we were very interested. We were told the truck had an oil seal leaking and they were waiting on the parts. We questioned if it was the oil pan gasket and were told yes. We talked numbers and everything was going well. We agreed on a number and they told us the truck would be ready for us to test drive at 2:00. We left to burn some time and come back at 2:05. The truck was still on the lift, no big deal. 2:50 the truck was still on the lift. We ask the sales manager what's going on and he went to go check on the truck. A few minutes later, the truck was done and they were going to go test drive it then bring it to the front for us to test drive it. After about 10 minutes, a technician brings the truck to the front and sits in it for a minute with a scan tool. He tried to explain to us something about the adaptive transmission, that was a red flag. We took it on a test drive and hooked up our own scan tool. We looked under the truck and noticed the oil pan had not been removed, but the transmission pan had been removed. As we are sitting at the first stop light we come to, the dash and radio flicker. Then, when we take off, the truck skipped 2nd and 4th gears. It did this every time we took off from a stop light. The truck did have a code for the transmission. After the test drive, we were expressing our concerns and explaining what the service history was showing on the Carfax about the truck having the transmission serviced last month at this dealership. The salesman got an attitude with us and said what we thought happened was not what had actually happened. He then confirmed that it was the transmission pan gasket they replaced, not the oil pan gasket. We knew this was not true because it does not take 5 hours to change a transmission pan gasket. We said we were not going to buy the truck, then the sales manager came to us and said if we buy the truck he would fix it for us. We said no and started to leave. He said we didn't even listen to what he had to say so we decided to hear him out. He said he would fix the truck, go down on the price, and give us a comprehensive warranty. We said ok, give me a call, and left. After about 20 minutes, we decided we did not want to buy the truck. We called the salesman and let him know to not fix the truck for us because we just didn't feel right about it. He said "we already knew that." If you knew that, then why did you tell us you would fix the truck for us? We drove an hour and wasted the whole day to buy this truck, and we were lied to about the repairs being done then they tried to sell us a truck they knew had transmission problems. They could have been honest and said there was something wrong with the truck instead of lying about the repairs and making us wait all day. My dad was buying this truck for himself and he is an ASE certified mechanic, so he was going to find out if it had any issues before purchasing regardless. Please beware of any used vehicles you may be looking at purchasing from this dealership. read more

I'm a rideshare driver and Toyota helped get me back on the road when I had issues with my wheel locks after another shop stripped my wheel lock key. They got the wheel locks off for me allowing me to do much needed tire maintenance, including getting a new tire and a wheel alignment. Drove two hours and made an appoint prior to work with Lizzie. Showed up only to be shoved off to someone else. He was decent and definitely worked magic to get me out in something. Although he didn't seem to keep what I wanted to pay monthly in mind at all. The thing that ruined the whole car buying experience, and this was my first one alone, was that it took SIX, yes SIX, months to get my tags transferred from my old car to this one. If I knew they were going to drag their ass and give me every excuse in the sun of why it took so long I would have done it myself from the start. I had two temp tags and only got the first one after I had complained to two managers and gotten pulled over & ticketed from revoked tags. I should have been given one the night I drove off the lot. On March 13, 2023 I paid Florence Toyota a $500 deposit to find a Toyota Crown Limited HYBRID 2023 (New Model just introduced in the U.S.) with machine gray and black leather interior vehicle. After several weeks, Florence Toyota could not find the vehicle and kept advising me a 2023 Crown Limited was to be delivered very shortly but was not the color I requested. Before making contact with Toyota in Florence, I personally searched for Toyota dealers on my own in the South and gave them my contact information and finally found what I wanted at a dealer in NC and asked them to hold the car until I could get to the dealer the next morning at 9:00 a.m. I arrived at the dealer and they had the car & color available and made the deal since Florence Toyota could not find the vehicle I wanted. After purchasing the car I immediately called Florence Toyota to advise them I found the car and I no longer needed for them to search any longer. To my knowledge, they never received delivery on the car and I wanted so I purchased the machine gray limited 2023 vehicle from Hendrick Toyota in North Carolina. Florence Toyota never received the car I requested so my only option was to buy from Hendrick. After 3 conversations and 2 personal visits they refused to give me my deposit back and still to this date I haven't received my money back. I'm writing this to advise anyone who is interested in buying a Toyota vehicle NOT to use Florence Toyota. I question their business practices, integrity and fairness to customers and strongly advise against doing any business with this dealership. First I have to say that I was pretty happy with their sales team. I would give them at least four stars. Finance department in the other hand deserves 0. So, we got a new car. Obviously we purchased GAP insurance. By making extra payments we ended up paying over 35% of the car in less than a year. So at that point we did not need to have GAP. I went to Toyota and cancelled GAP. I was supposed to receive refund check within a month (now, they told me that check will be just sent to the bank towards my loan, which is totally fine). Wo months later - no refund. I went to their dealership. It took some time for them to figure out what I going on. Apparently there was some kind of mistake. They told me I should get refund within two weeks. It's been three weeks. No refund. I called them, but had to leave voice mail. So far nobody called me back. I guess I have to drive there tomorrow and waste my time chasing my money. Extremely displeased. read more

Went in for an oil change and tire rotation. Car is a 2020 was aligned 10k ago. Car has 30k miles currently. Checked alignment, changed filters, wipers at a grand total of $400! I understand everybody needs to make a living but how do these thieves sleep at night? Total rip off. If this car needed all of this it really must be a piece of junk. Never again, I understand now why ppl don't service their cars, THEY CANT AFFORD IT! I have never paid more for routine service than the car payment. I'll do it myself from now on for 2/3 less.
