Staff was so so sweet and I didn't wait long. The entire appointment was a little long, but the…read moredental hygienist was super thorough with the cleaning and the dentist also thoroughly explained my xray to me when telling me all my options. They were super patient, it was nice and quiet, and they helped me through setting up my next appointments/consultations for root canal.

I have been asking to talk to the owner about this because this could be cause for a lawsuit or…read moretheir reputation can be tarnished being a fairly new practice and I have lived near here for a long time, but since I cannot get in contact with the owner about this manner I have to write a review. The dentist and the dental hygienists were very nice and professional, HOWEVER, the front office staff was horrible to me insinuating that I was trying to commit insurance fraud which is a FELONY. I have NEVER had anybody accuse me or insinuating anything illegal about me especially since my family and I are quite well known The receptionist and the front office manager (who both should know better if she was good at her job which she's not and should be punished or fired) condescendingly said, "Well here we follow the state law." What is she trying to imply that I don't?! That's insulting and a nasty and unprofessional to say to a patient who is new and you don't know at all. I have a reputation to uphold. Then the office manager continued to be very condescending and nasty to me and said in a suspicious, disrespectful questioning tone, "Is there a reason WHY you don't won't BlueCross Blue Shield being billed as primary?" I was taken aback and very shocked at how disrespected I was. I work for an insurance company and I have a background in management and if I ever treated a customer, patient, client, provider, etc. like this, my boss would have fired me for fear of a lawsuit of a defamation of character or at the very least get written up for abusive or argumentative language because of an office manager and receptionist who do not know how to talk to people. I work everyday where I have to tell callers that my company that I work for has to be billed as primary in order for their medical claims to be paid accordingly, but I speak respectfully and professionally and kindly tell the callers inquiring about their medical claims and how to bill to us and say, "I apologize, but we have to be the primary payers when you bill to us." The office manager, who is blocking me from talking to the owner recently (yes, he may be busy, but I haven't even received a voicemail message from here so here we are). I didn't ask nor wanted any dental coverage from my company that I could not opt out of because I already had dental coverage from Delta Dental Of SC (which I had for YEARS before this current job that I'm not going to have much longer) which I thought I could bill as primary, but the front staff could have been more respectful and addressed me better than insinuating something as serious as Insurance Fraud which is a felony. The front staff is making me question whether or not I want to continue being a patient at this facility because of their unprofessionalism and accusatory language against me and I'm not going to tolerate any disrespect again as a patient who should addressed more respectfully because dental work is not cheap in this country and I am paying a lot of money for a dental service, not for nasty attitudes or behavior all because I had Delta Dental Of SC for years and always had that insurance for years and this job is not permanent for me. I find it interesting the front office quickly to insinuate a felony crime against me over insurance had for years that I thought I could bill as primary. It makes me believe it's my skin complexion (I'm a Black Woman) and I would not surprised.

The search for a great dentist in the Florence area took awhile. After a couple of disastrous…read moreattempts, the third time was the charm. I found Dr. Meyer through a coworker and I could not be more pleased. Dr. Meyer and his staff are professional, accommodating and compassionate. As an adult, I am one of those people who become 6 years old as soon as they are in the dentist's chair. I explained this to Dr. Meyer and his staff and they took remarkable care of me. My procedure was painless and the results were awesome. It was also a relief to be seen at a practice that did not try to upsell me on a complete package of optional cosmetic procedures like the previous practices have. I was 100% pleased with my experience here and I would recommend Dr. Meyer and his excellent staff to anyone.

My name is Pam O. and I can honestly say I love going to my dentist office…read more Dr. Meyer is in my opinion the best! Everyone in his office are so caring and nice. I never would've thought I would ever say I don't mind going to get any work done in my mouth, but I was in the middle of an appointment last year I think it was and I dozed off while he was working in my mouth. That has to tell anyone who just shutters at the thought of going....this Dr. is different. He is great at what he does and he has a great personality as well. So so many Dr.s these days are on their way out as they are coming in. They rush and don't explain... Dr Meyer is NOT ONE OF THOSE KINDS OF DR. He will explain how and what he's doing...tell you how it may feel. If you are reading this to find a good dentist then look no more, because you have found the best.

I can not praise the dentists and staff enough. I am one of those folks terrified of a dental…read morevisit. After they caught that I had a pretty nasty abscess, treatment began and an extraction was scheduled. During the procedure, Summer made sure I was comfortable and calm. Dr. P explained the procedure and administered numbing agents. I didn't feel even a twinge, and just the smallest amount of pressure, and she was done. I had to ask if she removed the tooth! I love the staff and, before my procedure, they called me to ask how I was feeling and if the swelling and pain from the infection were clearing up. Best all around, do if you are looking for a warm practice that will take care of you, Prestwood is for you!

I was in a temporary from Sept. to Dec. because they had staffing issues and couldn't get me in for my permanent.I was in so much pain. Dr. Panvelker said it was infected. I got a second opinion and Dr. Criser said there was no present infection and that my temporary was not shaved correctly causing my actual tooth to show. I got the gap filled by prestwood and I eventually got my permanent on which made it better but it was still sensitive. Time passed and it ended up becoming painful. They kept wanting to refer me to get a root canal. I went and got a second opinion, found out my whole tooth is split in half. The tooth has to be completely removed. A root canal is not possible. Previously when I would come in due to pain, Dr. Panvelker kept saying "I told you it had the possibility of failing." With her being the professional, I don't know why she would allow the crown to be put on if it was more than likely going to fail. $800+ down the drain not even a year later.
