Great care. The doctor is very down to earth and nice. I would highly recommend! Best teeth cleaning I have ever had!

Staff was so so sweet and I didn't wait long. The entire appointment was a little long, but the…read moredental hygienist was super thorough with the cleaning and the dentist also thoroughly explained my xray to me when telling me all my options. They were super patient, it was nice and quiet, and they helped me through setting up my next appointments/consultations for root canal.

I have been asking to talk to the owner about this because this could be cause for a lawsuit or…read moretheir reputation can be tarnished being a fairly new practice and I have lived near here for a long time, but since I cannot get in contact with the owner about this manner I have to write a review. The dentist and the dental hygienists were very nice and professional, HOWEVER, the front office staff was horrible to me insinuating that I was trying to commit insurance fraud which is a FELONY. I have NEVER had anybody accuse me or insinuating anything illegal about me especially since my family and I are quite well known The receptionist and the front office manager (who both should know better if she was good at her job which she's not and should be punished or fired) condescendingly said, "Well here we follow the state law." What is she trying to imply that I don't?! That's insulting and a nasty and unprofessional to say to a patient who is new and you don't know at all. I have a reputation to uphold. Then the office manager continued to be very condescending and nasty to me and said in a suspicious, disrespectful questioning tone, "Is there a reason WHY you don't won't BlueCross Blue Shield being billed as primary?" I was taken aback and very shocked at how disrespected I was. I work for an insurance company and I have a background in management and if I ever treated a customer, patient, client, provider, etc. like this, my boss would have fired me for fear of a lawsuit of a defamation of character or at the very least get written up for abusive or argumentative language because of an office manager and receptionist who do not know how to talk to people. I work everyday where I have to tell callers that my company that I work for has to be billed as primary in order for their medical claims to be paid accordingly, but I speak respectfully and professionally and kindly tell the callers inquiring about their medical claims and how to bill to us and say, "I apologize, but we have to be the primary payers when you bill to us." The office manager, who is blocking me from talking to the owner recently (yes, he may be busy, but I haven't even received a voicemail message from here so here we are). I didn't ask nor wanted any dental coverage from my company that I could not opt out of because I already had dental coverage from Delta Dental Of SC (which I had for YEARS before this current job that I'm not going to have much longer) which I thought I could bill as primary, but the front staff could have been more respectful and addressed me better than insinuating something as serious as Insurance Fraud which is a felony. The front staff is making me question whether or not I want to continue being a patient at this facility because of their unprofessionalism and accusatory language against me and I'm not going to tolerate any disrespect again as a patient who should addressed more respectfully because dental work is not cheap in this country and I am paying a lot of money for a dental service, not for nasty attitudes or behavior all because I had Delta Dental Of SC for years and always had that insurance for years and this job is not permanent for me. I find it interesting the front office quickly to insinuate a felony crime against me over insurance had for years that I thought I could bill as primary. It makes me believe it's my skin complexion (I'm a Black Woman) and I would not surprised.

I have been going to this dentist since I was a child (I'm 31 year-old) and now my 5 year old goes…read moreto them and he loves them as much as me! I have even moved to Charleston south Carolina, when I was an early teen and I refused for me mom to get me a dentist there. I would come to my grandparents house and made arrangements for this office/dentist to clean my teeth! I would recommend them to anyone anytime! They make you feel comfortable and like family!

My child has been seeing Dr. Baker at this practice since she was in elementary school. Since…read morehitting middle school I started noticing her cleanings were not as "clean" around 9th grade. Well guess who started having "probs" around the same time? My child. So she's been for filling after filling her entire high school career. Well, last year she had a tooth filled. It was still painful. They sent us to have a root canal. Still painful. Went back to root canal dr and he filed down her bite and did something else because it was "cracked". Well here we are 6 months later with that SAME tooth hurting allllllllllllll weekend long. So, I had my daughter in the office first thing when they opened. Do you know they made her sit there for an hour and a half HURTING while they cleaned every single senior citizen in town's teeth before they even put her in a room and put some numbing gel on it just to make her more comfortable since she didn't have an appt? Oh yea. AN HOUR AND A HALF with a toothache so a few people can get their free toothbrushes from their cleanings. FINALLY, they take her back, put the numbing gel on it and gave her a shot to numb it as well. THEN, they took an x-ray. Well, low and behold, Dr. Baker couldn't find anything wrong (AS USUAL) So she wanted to file down her bite, AGAIN. Then tells my daughter, you gotta wear your night guard. UMMMMMM, I know my daughter and the dr that performed the root canal told her the same thing. Do you see how far that has gotten her??? We're back in your face with the same problem. My child REFUSES to wear that guard, so I'mma need yall to pull the tooth, NOW. I'm can't go thru this hurting with her anymore. We have been fighting this same tooth for a YEAR!!!! I want it out of her head! NOW. Do you know she refused to pull it, EVEN THOUGH SHE COULDN'T FIND THE PROBLEM AND NEVER ONCE CALLED DR MAXWELL IN TO CONSULT WITH HIM ABOUT IT???? Probably because she knows everything. BLESS HER LAZY HEART. She simply was too lazy to pull a tooth so NOW, we have an appt with another dentist who does NOT accept my child's insurance and I am paying FULL price to have this child's tooth extracted TODAY!!! Sooooo, unless you are over the age of 65 and simply need cleanings for your dentures on the regular or a cap here and there, DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST OFFICE. I hope the schools cancel their contract with this dentist because they half way clean children's teeth and have NO COMPASSION for those same children when they come in with a toothache. I will pay FULL PRICE anyday and everyday of the week at a REPUTABLE, COMPASSIONATE dentist before I ever let Dr. Baker in my child's mouth EVER again. She is the laziest excuse for a dental professional I have ever seen in my life. She wants to do the procedures she WANTS to do and everything else is referred out or gone without treatment. In my personal opinion she does more hurt than anything because her service is SUB PAR. I have been in MANY dental offices in my day and when you know what a GOOD dentist is a how you are supposed to be treated it makes the SUBPAR dentists, like Dr. Baker stand out like a sore thumb. Do yourself a favor, KEEP DRIVING.
