They already rescheduled my first appointment to a couple weeks later. My tooth had finally started to cause me serious pain and I was pleading with them to get me in earlier and they refused to give me an earlier appointment. Then just now at 6:30 PM on Wednesday they called to tell me they needed to reschedule my appointment that was less than 24 hours away. Mind you I've been having sharp pain and can't even eat on my left side since last Friday. Completely inconsiderate and unhelpful. bot to mention I've asked ever call for them to confirm that they are in network with my dental insurance and they refuse to answer the question. Keep telling me they will call me back and never do. I've asked 3 times And 3 times I have received no callbacks. Ridiculous! read more

Honesty would have very much been appreciated. I would never have gone had I known 1) none of the many in-network dentists were even there or 2) that a different type of antibiotic would NOT be given although I told them Amoxicillin hadn't cut it & intolerable pain returned the following day. read more

I had some issues with this place last year (e.g., they were closed and doors locked at my appointment time) but foolishly went back because they were in network with my new dental insurance. I made an appointment weeks ago, and verified that they take my insurance. So I show up today for my scheduled appointment and they tell me they can't take my insurance. Because (I am not making this up) even though Aspen Dental is in network, their current dentists are not, because they are "temps". They won't have any more "regular" dentists until July. WTF? Something is really wrong with this place. An afternoon wasted, and search is on anew for a dentist. Thank God my teeth are decent and it wasn't urgent. read more

If you want to be irritated by clown show dentist office then this business is for you. Located beside Game Stop in Flo mall parking lot. Appt was at 2pm, after an hour of waiting confirmed w check-in my time she says another 10 mins. Half hour later I walk out door, unable to rate dental service at this time. Can rate customer service as poor. Another example of a professional business discussing personal history of clients in waiting room. As well as this receptionist getting attitude w a customer over questions about bill. My faith in professional service in Florence has been diminished as have yet to find any medical business that operates better than 1-2 stars. read more

They are up front about the costs. They are a little on slow side. The x-rays plastics hurt somewhat on the gums, dug into the gums. The hygienist is a sweet,sweet lady but she can cause some painful moments as well I wish she focused less on quality and more on being gentle. I was kind of thinking going elsewhere till Dr. Green began. He's a very nice man and you will never find a more gentle denist. He has got to be the best most gentlest denist I have ever had, a real professional, and skilled denist very very gentle a sweet guy. read more

I find their responses to all of these reviews seemingly automated. Each ask to "discuss" for details. Are they not reading them? They seem quite detailed and self explanatory. My advice would be to leave that out of your response and just say "please contact us to allow us to make it right". At least that gives the impression you read IT! All I get now is hang up calls from them out of Newark NJ, DAYLY, which never leave a message (rude) and leaves me unable to know if they are calling to discuss my issues or if I'm now being robo called for a sales pitch! read more

Called Aspen to obtain information. I received a woman that was rude, spoke over you and was about as friendly as a rattled snake. This woman's attitude put me off with this office. If they treated me rudely on the phone, how will I be treated in the office. You are not the only game in town. read more

I called and made an appointment for 11 am today. I was walking out the door at 10:35 to go to my appointment and Aspen Dental called and stated they did not have a Dr. in the office this am and cancelled my appointment. I scheduled my day around this appointment. I feel this company is very undependable and unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and find another dental company. read more

Doesn't answer phone. Answering service can't get them on phone. My denture broke in half and they can't fix it. There answer to the problem is pay me the same amount again so I can give you another one to break in half. I called a dentist and they don't recommend them either. Does that give you an idea what fellow dentists think about their services. read more

Very upset! I had a filling fall out over the weekend and i was in a great deal of discomfort. I was an established patient here so I THOUGHT I would be able to get in and have it looked at. I called 3x and left voice mails over 2 days and no call returned! I called another dentist office and they were able to get me in even though I had never been there! So very annoyed that no one would answer or return my calls! Apparently they only care if you're a new patient. Terrible service! I will never go back there! read more

I made several appointment with a plan to do a bridge and crowns. my crown has fallen out and the bridge will never get done I have called so many time. I went into the office and spoke to a woman who had about as much concern and reception skill as a pit viper. the staff that was there is no longer there when I asked to speak to the manger I was told no. and asked what did I want here to do about it. I thought asking forceje manger was self explanatory. i will be taking my business some where else, and if they plan to keep their current staff in place they nightcaps well shut down, it's not like they answer the phone or call you back. read more

My husband and I made appointments to have our teeth cleaned. My husband's appointment was in the morning and mine in the afternoon. We both were given a very thorough exam and about 20 single X-Rays and a panoramic all for no charge. Why they did that was because of the excessive charges they have. My husband's bill BEFORE insurance was over $4000. After insurance was almost $1500. He used a credit card and paid it. I was livid when he came home. I knew he had some gum disease but this was ridiculous. Looking over the bill, they had also changed us $135 for an electric toothbrush which he didn't bring home. I went to my appointment in the afternoon as scheduled. I generally have pretty decent teeth. My bill came to over $1700 and my Humana Medicare Advantage insurance paid NOTHING. They were also going to charge me for an electric toothbrush, but since my husband had it on his bill, they took it off mine. I then asked them to let me have the toothbrush my husband paid for. They told me they didn't have any. So these people are putting things on your bill that they don't even have in stock. I went to my previous dentist 2 weeks later and he promptly cleaned my teeth. My insurance paid for his treatment. read more

My filling came out, and i was in excruciating pain. Called Aspen Dental, not local office, and spoke to a very pleasant representative, who was able to schedule an appointment. Unfortunately this appoint is over a month out. She really wanted to help and told me the Florence, SC location was open until 12pm. It was 11:12am and we were able to get there in no time. The fun begins... We walked in the office and was told immediately they were closed. Not understanding how we walked in a "closed" office, but apparently we did. She said, with every tooth in her mouth showing, they only schedule and do emergencies on Saturday, and i asked if it's an emergency can I be seen? She then said they don't have a dentist. She spoke to me like i was child who she was correcting. I Spoke again with the representative, not from local office, who told me that she shows they had a dentist there that today. Needless to say they can cancel the scheduled appointment, I will never step back into that "closed" office again. read more

Was told when I made my appt the first visit was free. I even asked when I got to my appoint and was told again the first visit was free. No charge for me or my insurance company. Went to ask about getting a filling. Saw the dentist for maybe 3 minutes and but spent most of the time with the hygienes who told me I had a gum infection and my tooth wouldn't be filled until corrected that issue. Was told by their business secretary I would have to pay over 1200.00 before i could get my tooth filled. And another 400.00 for the filling. A few weeks later I found out they billed my insurance company for the same visit they said was free and sent me a bill for 180.00. If there was any special circumstances to my visit being free they should have mentioned it but they did not. I was just told over and over there was no charge for the first visit because they were running a special. Before I left they gave me a total price of 3600. After my insurance over 1600.00 out of pocket. And I needed to pay 300.00 to make an appointment for my next visit for treatment and almost 900.00 for the second. I just came for an x-ray and filling. If I could give them a zero I would. read more

I have since posting my review been asked not to return to this Aspen location. I had extractions done on October 6. At this time a piece of broken tooth was left in my lower mouth. I had been in several times for soft liners. When I went in April for my permanent fitting the dentist then decided it was worth looking at. They messed me up big time. When I requested a copy of my original contract, and informed the dentist she wasn't coming any where near my face...I was requested to not return to this facility. I'd rather stick needles in my eyes then go back there. read more

They have since refunded me $408, so instead of $700 I paid around $185 for my son's visit. This is still $52 more than my upfront quote, but it's better than before. Just be prepare to pay more than quoted. read more

They were all very friendly. I spoke with the Dr she informed me what all needed done. That went over all that my insurance cover also what's not covered. It's wasn't a long wait. I was in and out. I hate going to the dentist but I will go back to them. They made me feel at home. read more
