My best friend sent me flowers as it is my first Mother's Day tomorrow, and every single daisy stem is broken right underneath the bloom, and they're dead and already wilted and mushy. Almost like they were just shoved into the vase then propped up so you couldn't tell if you didn't move the vase at all. Unfortunately, you have to pick them up from the front door upon delivery, so they all immediately flopped down exposing the breakage in the daisies all across the bouquet. Also, the arrangement was supposed to include lavender sprigs- they were paid for- and it came without them. My daughter ordered a Christmas floral arrangement through FTD and they used this company. She and I understand it might not have been the most expensive choice but it is not symmetrical in beauty, it's thrown together and a mess. I ordered a small "Sweet Spring Bouquet" through FTD that was described as "...vivid hot pink and peach roses to the pale pink stock, our Sweet Spring Bouquet is one filled with fresh beauty in each bloom. Set in a ribbed, peach glass vase, an assortment of pink standard carnations, bupleurum and hot pink mini carnations come together with the delights of spring and beautiful texture." While I understand that the product will not be an exact replica, I am highly dissatisfied with the 'mostly green, with some flowers' that was delivered, as it does not resemble the advertisement at all and certainly not worth the price paid. Furthermore, I contacted the store to express my concerns only to be argued with "we make those all the time and have a (menu) to stick to, it wasn't mostly green" and when I mentioned it wasn't worth the money spent, he said they don't receive the full payment at the store. I would give no stars if possible. The manager just cursed me out on the phone for no good reason! I called to say that the floral delivery I received only lasted 3 days. He blamed the Hy-Vee store in Iowa who placed the order with him to fulfill. I asked him what does that mean and he got angry and said, "I am not going to argue with you, lady!" After having surgery, I received a basket of flowers from Floral Concepts. The day of arrival. The Snap Dragons in the bouquet were just about dead. All the other flowers were tired and not fresh looking. By the 2nd day the bouquet was dead. I tried to contact via phone and email/webpage giving them an opportunity to explain. I have heard nothing. I have received many bouquets & baskets during the time and without a doubt these are the worst glowers I've ever received. My husband is in the military, and is away right now due to Covid 19. I received this arrangement approx 3:50pm on Monday the day after Mother's Day. My husband chose to do an arrangement from floral concepts due to their reputation and word of mouth. One of the white roses were bruised, and petals missing from the daisies. The sunflowers didn't look very good as well. I called the store and spoke to a nice woman who apologized for the incident. I let her know, I've received several arrangements from my husband in the past from others and they were absolutely beautiful. Fresh flowers, no damage or dead looking. My arrangements last at best a full week. I've even had a rare situation of long stem roses that lasted 2 weeks in full bloom! Strong, vibrant, all with proper care. Fresh water, flower food and cool water. The lady set up a replacement for the roses and damage. The following morning 5/12/20 I received a tall stem vase with two beautiful perfect roses! I appreciated the effort.(Hence the two stars) Now as for the arrangement itself, I expected it to last at the very least one full weak. It is the 5/13/20, one sunflower is completely dead, the petals of the daisies are falling off, and several daisies are slumped. I've insured fresh water and flower food. (I've made arrangements myself, I've taken floral classes.) As a mother of two young children, I'm just now getting the chance to write this. I'm extremely disappointed my husband spent money on these flowers/arrangement for it to not even last. I wanted to enjoy them, and my (supposed to be) special gift. Now it's practically dead not even 72 hrs later. I will not be recommending this floral shop to anyone. We will look for business elsewhere. I understand these are tough times, but if you have standards as a business, then you would not compromise on quality. My husband sent me flowers to work for Valentine's day, having worked in floral design myself for 10 years, I know what I'm saying when I tell you that The roses were completely full-blown, I called them immediately after receiving them to tell them that I didn't want my husband spending money for roses that weren't going to make it until the next day. well the floral designer who answered the phone said to me I want to know how many Valentine's days you've worked because I'm so sick of people thinking they know more about flowers than I do. She said nothing else and put me on hold.. The next thing I know some guy picks up the phone and says "yeah?" He asked for my order number I gave it to him he said okay what's the problem? I explained the situation to him and he said oh our roses just come like that they'll last. I decided that the customer service over there was obviously taught from management down so I told him that I would probably just have to call my husband and have him handle it. Then he just hung up. Listen, flowers are beautiful no matter what but putting a bunch of them together with some greens and chopping them all to less than 10" in and stuffing them in a vase does not make you a floral designer, lol. My husband bought through Pro Flowers so he was refunded. Their customer service asked if I wanted a new arrangement, on top of the refund. My best friends ordered me a get well arrangement from here and I just received them earlier today after coming home from the hospital. I know my friends intentions were wonderful and they hoped that the florist they trusted to send me the flowers they bought would do so in good faith. Sadly that wasn't the case. First, the freesia were broken and the lilies petals were crumpled and broken as well. The roses were not even close to being tight. What a shame! All in all, I would say about $20 of good flowers in the arrangement. I'm sure they were paid much more than that. How do you tell your friends that they were taken advantage of when their intentions were so amazing?!? I ordered some flowers for my 5-year anniversary for my wife from Floral Concepts, using their website. When the flowers arrived (on time and in great shape, unlike some other florists in the area I've used in the past), they were gorgeous. Very well arranged, very high quality and my wife loved them. When I got home and saw them, the bouquet overall was smaller than I expected. I called the owner to ask if the size was correct given the price. He patiently talked to me about the market cost of the flowers I'd gotten (in close proximity to Mother's Day), and verified that the contents of the bouquet were as intended. Then, without prompting, he offered to send another bouquet of roses the next day. The flowers were just delivered, again on time and free of charge. I chose the highest priced options to ensure the flowers were big and beautiful. However, what was received was not even close to being the small arrangement that appeared their website. Had the co-worker not sent a Thank You note and photo of what was received I would have thought everything was as ordered. Not the case. Let me summarize my experience with Floral Concepts this way - I just signed up for Yelp specifically so I could post this review. I would not have taken the time to do that if things hadn't gone really, really badly. Sarah M's review is 100% right. Ordered online and what was actually delivered did not even remotely bear a passing resemblance to the picture on the website. Website pic was bursting with roses and tulips. Actual delivery had maybe two roses, a stargazer and a couple daisies?? A complete embarrassment to me and to the florist. I called them to share my disappointment. Their solution? To swap out the arrangement with another one. So, let me get this straight. You propose to further embarrass us both by going to her office, picking up the original arrangement, and replacing it with who knows what? Uh, how about No. Look, I understand that the arrangement is not always going to have the exact flowers that are in the picture - I get it. My complaint is that what they delivered was significantly smaller than what I ordered. And the person I talked to did basically nothing to make it right, other than suggest delivering another anemic arrangement. If you are considering ordering from Floral Concepts, and you are reading this review wondering if I am one of those people who just likes to complain about everything - I'm really not. If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered flowers for my mother because she has experienced 2 deaths in one week. I thought flowers would cheer her up. Instead she received flowers that were halfway dead and wilted. The flowers were not fresh at all. When we called the florist they argued that there was nothing wrong with them. After some time they agreed to replaced the flowers but never did. When we called a second time, we spoke to a manager who yelled at us. We have never been treated with such disrespect by a company. Awkwardly put together at best along with flower substitution's that did not seem to mesh. I drove to the location and was talking with Sheila Johnson (owner) about the arrangement when Mark Johnson appeared from the back room and turned the conversation into a nightmare with his deplorable and totally inexcusable behavior. The man went into multiple explosive rages with ALL CAPS YELLING riddled with the F*** [Expletive] word - all directed squarely at me and his disgust for FTD. The last straw was when he lunged toward me with outstretched arms, I dialed 911 as I was very afraid for my safety. The Addison Police responded and offered a specific charge against this man. I declined to press charges, but he surely deserved it. There are plenty of other floral options in the area. Florists that will want to earn your business and treat you with respect. read more

Poor customer service. I received flowers and sent a picture to the person who sent them. They said the arrangement looked nothing like the picture online. The sender called the florist and the florist picked up the arrangement and brought another one. This one had a similarity to the online picture, but the design was terrible. Different heights, not congruent, some roses looked like they were dying. Also, the arrangement was not proportionate to the cost. I could have purchased the flowers in a bunch from the grocery store, cut the stems, put them in a vase and it would have looked better. When I called the florist and spoke with Sheila, the owner, she suggested that I buy my flowers elsewhere and hung up on me. If you don't mind that your arrangement wont turn out like the picture online and customer service isn't important to you, then Floral Concepts is the way to go.
