Wow! This flower shop is truly, truly awesome! I called at 2 minutes before closing one evening, with a request for some flowers to be delivered to a friend and her toddler aged daughter, hopefully the next day. I did have some specific requests, and the lady on the phone was SO nice and SO helpful. (I THINK her name might have been Emily). Well, they really made two beautiful arrangements SO special! And, when my friend answered her door, with her 3 year old little girl beside her, the delivery lady crouched down to greet the daughter happily. It made the little girl feel SO special! So, although I live out of town, I have family and friends in Duluth and Superior, and THIS IS THE ONLY FLOWER SHOP that I will use! Thanks again, so much! read more

This place is dangerous! I went in to just look and left having had spent $100+ dollars on plants. Their plants are beautiful, and their pots are even more. This place is a little pricey considering I only bought two plants and two pots, but I've purchased plants from here before and they are thriving to this day! I had my wedding flowers done here. I originally thought our reception venue had round tables, and we planned for Bella Flora to take care of everything. But then I found out that the venue actually had unbelievably long rectangular tables, which meant that I needed to put more flowers on the tables, and we couldn't afford to have Bella Flora take care of everything. So the girl who was working with me (I can't remember her name...I think she had curly hair) was really great about helping us figure out how we could just buy the flowers (and rent the vases) from them, but we would arrange them ourselves. She lowered the prices on a lot of the flowers (so hey, bargain with them if you go!) and showed us how to arrange some of the flowers. (It just so happened that I wanted a very simple arrangement, so it was not too much of a change to do it ourselves.) We still had them make the bouquets for us. The arrangements were beautiful, but some of the flowers were not the freshest, which, obviously I was a little peeved about, since it was my wedding day. I thought it would look okay in pictures, and it did, so I didn't worry about it. Another problem was that I had asked for orange flowers in the bouquets and arrangements, and the girl called me and said that the orange flowers (I forget what kind) had arrived at the shop, and they were a little more reddish than usual, but they were still beautiful, and did I want to come look at them, or did I trust her to use her best judgement and use them? I almost decided to trust her, because she was really nice, and really seemed to know what she was doing, but I went in to look, and those flowers were RED. Like red with an orange-ish tinge. I would have been wicked pissed if we had picked them up the day before and found out that her best judgement was to change my wedding colors. So I don't know how they compare to others, since I've never ordered flowers for an event before, but I guess I would probably go back. I don't know how the prices compare. read more

I have a complaint for a previous order placed for me in October. I never received the order, and while following through with my friend Brenda who placed the order - we found out they were never sent, after my stroke. My friend Brenda contacted your shop and the girl that answered the phone went on and on on policy and procedures on when they make a delivery. My friend Brenda was charged for these flowers. No apologies about the mixup and was told it was too late for her to call on the order. (Two weeks later!) She is from Minneapolis and did not know that I never received them. I did not even know that she had ordered some for me. Someone dropped the ball here! Nothing was offered to rectify this problem. I went into the store to tell them about the problem and I got the same song and dance story and procedures and your delivery policy. Again I told I didn't get the flowers, and she said we should of called about them sooner. - How could we, neither of us knew the flowers were not delivered? - She said she could give me some flowers from the cooler and wrap them in paper to take with me. I informed her that is not what my friend ordered from me. I did ask to talk to the owner and she said you weren't in. At that time there were 2 others customers in the store and they heard of my complaint. (I'm sure that was not good for your business.) The gal from the back finally came up after about a half of hour and made the same arrangement my friend had ordered for me. The arrangement was beautiful! My friend, Brenda said you had good reviews and that is why she chose your shop, and now thinks it stinks! I was an Office Manager for over 20 years and I would never treat a customer like that! There should have been an apology made for the mixup and some accountability for what happened - to both my friend and myself. There should some training of your employees and not be so argumentive with customers and also try to make a wrong a right. I have always liked Bella Flora - I even bought my daughter's prom flowers one year. Our family has bought flowers twice in October from your shop. Good luck with future customers! read more

This beautiful little shop is exactly what Duluth needed! Not only do they carry lovely plant life but they also stock the front of the house with beautiful wares for home decor. Additionally, when and if you purchase a plant with a coordinating pot, they will pot it for you saving the sometimes frustratingly messy task of planting in your home... not to mention saving you an extra trip to Home Depot for potting soil. read more

I called Angela's from Texas and gave very minimal instructions, as I know nothing about flowers. I just asked for a "Really pretty bouquet to brighten up a dank room for my grandma that's also really fragrant...some yellows, but I'm not sure what else. You decide." Everyone tells me they were the most beautiful flowers they've seen, and they are extremely fragrant. The nurses loved the flowers, too. I ordered a flower arrangement from them online to be delivered for Mother's Day. The website was not very clear if the order went through, so I had to call them to confirm. I asked for the arrangement to not include roses, but left it open otherwise. They gave my mother, who hates roses, a rose arrangement. For $66+delivery (so about $80) I got 4 tulips, a daisy, a small orchid, some fillers and 4 roses which had already bloomed and obviously were about to be thrown away. In a mason jar vase. This was supposed to be the "manager's special" or something like that. I don't like to order a specific arrangement, I prefer giving the florist freedom to be creative and have always been impressed until now. I order more flowers than most people, probably twice a month on average. I got about $5 worth of flowers to them (if you don't count the roses they were about to throw out). There were 3 sizes to the managers special, I bought the most expensive option (I would have paid more than $66 if it were an option) but it made me look cheap and I was embarrassed. I looked like the friend who bought a gift at the gas station on the way to your party because I had to get you something but didn't want to spend too much $$ because I don't really like you. read more

Initially I had a good experience from the staff at the shop, but upon trying to pick up my arrangement later in the day I received horrible service.
