Flora was a great find for us! We worked with Chuck, the Manager at Flora, and he was great at helping us plan our wedding this past March. We met with him and he was so patient with us because we had no idea what we wanted. He walked through every flower that would be in season at the time of our wedding and for any that he actually had in the shop he would give to us to feel and smell so we could get a good understanding about what we might want to go with. We worked through several contracts with him as other wedding items were finalized and every time it was easy and timely. Also, their pricing was incredibly reasonable and matched or was better than other florists I met with. The bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages were fresh and looked gorgeous on our wedding day! We loved everything. Our centerpieces also looked absolutely beautiful! They were everything we imagined they would be. The hydrangeas were still alive and kicking two full days later. Flora also decorated our cake with some fresh flowers and they really did make the cake! I would highly recommend Flora for any Chicago area wedding. read more

I love Flora and especially Randy! Randy did the flowers for my September wedding and let me just say that they were AMAZING! Definitely exceeded all my expectations! I don't really know anything about flowers and only had a vague idea of what I wanted. So I had put off meeting with a florist and was a little nervous about not being able to describe what I wanted. However, after only a few minutes with Randy, my anxiety was put to rest. After only a brief discussion, he designed our entire floral concept. Despite the party being only a week away, they gladly assisted me and created some beautiful centerpieces that fit the decor of our venue and were within my budget. I have been to Flora many and times and have always been impressed by the unique and beautiful arrangements they put together. Yesterday, I stopped in to purchase arrangement for birthday gifts. I brought my own vases. I asked to wait and had a tight budget. Five stars because the arrangements surpassed my expectations; the young man helping me was kind, patient and never showed any sign of annoyance that I perhaps had barged in on his day; he found boxes for me to transport the arrangements; did I say that the flowers were gorgeous? Flora has also done flowers for my kids for prom and homecoming and they are always the prettiest ones there. I interviewed 4 florists, and am glad I went with Flora. Flora Chicago completely exceeded our expectations for our wedding day!! Chuck was absolutely wonderful to work with and was able to exactly capture our floral vision with very little direction (as we knew pretty much nothing about flowers going in). We cannot thank him enough for taking our ideas and running with them beyond what we could have dreamed!! Further, we were operating on a smaller budget for our flowers and were so grateful to receive service and floral that looked like we had spent millions. Flora truly knows the value of customer service and quality work at any budget. We were a bit nervous going in as we weren't going to be a huge floral client with giant centerpieces or overdone bouquets. But when we asked for a small group of flowers per wine bottle for our tables (pinterest!), what we got were absolutely gorgeous and unique groupings - not just a boring stem and some greenery!! It was a dream!! We also had a few anthro mugs filed with flowers for the head table "centerpiece" (very simple) and Chuck created a full, gorgeous, and intricate bouquet for each. He understood the exact look and feel that I wanted for the event, and with his professional guidance and creative expertise, made it come to life. I would like the chance to try out this florist because from the outside it looks cute. However, I went there about a month ago to grab some flowers in a pinch for my mom's birthday and they were closed. The hours on their door stated that they were supposed to be open for another hour, but there was no one in sight and the door was locked. Unfortunately, I came to the birthday dinner empty handed. Not wanting this to happen again, I called today to see if they would be open this Sunday for Mother's Day. The woman on the phone said initially until 2. I then explained to her that they may want to change their hours of operations on their front door that state that they are open until 4. I was in no way treated like I was giving her good business advice and she just sounded extremely annoyed that I even brought it up. I don't know how pretty their flowers are, but I am not impressed at all with their customer service. read more
