From Sam in the office, to Justin the estimator, and Mike & Josh our installers...we couldn't be happier with our new floors. We had them install vinyl plank flooring with all new baseboards. Mike's attention to detail when installing the flooring on our stairs was impeccable. I only wish all contractors in town had the same integrity as Mike does. Be aware of this Business, Communication is none but almost nonexistent. We bought floors from this company some years ago. Went back to see about getting some additional flooring. Well it's been discontinued, alright let's see what you have. Pick out something close but not same. Order it, was told the order should be a week out. Keep calling them as I would never get an update via the phone after the first week. Was told guarantee to be here next Wednesday or Thursday. Go and behold my flooring is nowhere to be. read more

Flooring America has done a couple of different projects for me and I have been extremely happy with each and every one of them. I love Samantha and Justin... they are really easy to work with and answered all my questions and offered suggestions when I needed help. The last project that I had was putting granite countertops in my Kitchen. Their fabricator and installer Matt was the best guy ever! He worked so hard and did an amazing job. He was so patient and worked with me figuring out exactly how one of my more unusual areas should be done. Ordered carpet for 2 bedrooms. They were responsive when we called back after the initial order to check if it had been delivered from the factory yet. They were able to fit us in their schedule and finished the job in around 4 hours. Looks professional and they cleaned up afterwards. read more

-sold us backsplash tile for floor tiling, had to return it after waiting weeks and weeks -don't call you back after weeks of calling -didn't show up when scheduled one day, didn't even call to say they weren't coming -tile job for backsplash had to be redone, and still does not look much better. Gaps all different sizes, rough edges, guess they don't use spacers.. save yourself the headache! read more

This store is the worst store I have ever done business with. I don't even want to rate it a 1 star. In my opinion it should be rated a negative 10 or lower. We have used Flooring America for many years...but the very last purchase was for flooring in our home. The sales person was Ken at the time, he helped us get our flooring and we were very pleased as normal. But after it was installed, the floor started planking and was lifting at every seam. This was about 2-3 months after being installed. I contacted F.Amer. and was told someone would come out. After 3 more calls they sent the original installer to check it out... He said it was the prod defect. So they supposedly have a 100% guarantee...NOT We were told that F.Amer is NOW F. Amer of Redding, and was now owned by somebody new. The buy out happened 2 months after we purchased our prod. We were told by office mgr., that since new owner was not the actual owner at the time of purchase, we were not allowed to have them work with us, cause we were not his customer, only that of the previous owner. Long story short it took 1 year of fighting with the new owner and most of his staff to rectify this issue. But since the buy out 2 months after our purchase, we were NOT CONSIDERED A CUSTOMER ANYMORE BECAUSE WE DIDN'T ACTUALLY BUY FROM THE NEW OWNERS, By the way the new owner was KEN the original SALES PERSON from whom we purchased the original floor from. ALSO, The manufacturer of the floor had a 100% guarantee if defective as well, but they would NOT honor their guarantee either. They said it was the installers fault. But we had a 2 full boxes left over and the seams were doing the same in the box that WERE NOT EVER INSTALLED. To me this us a DEFECT!!! We Brought this to the companys attention and they still wouldn't comply, and again, the boxes WERE NOT EVER INSTALLED. The floor was beautiful after installation for the 1st 2 months. Also the sales person was supposed to come check out the final completion of install. within 7 days. Called Ken 3 times in one month. Neither Ken nor any other person came to do a final check. I did have another company come and check it out and he said it was the manufacturer and if we wanted his company would make it right for us...Should have taken him up on that and really SUED both the manufacture and Flooring America of Redding (Ken in particular), so that the installer wouldn't have had to put out money all by himself. So in the end my floor was FINALLY replaced, but again by the Original installer who incidently, was very Good and didn't deserve this. But because The Cheap Jerk Owner who would NOT honor their promise of 100% unconditional replacement, he stepped up. I also have all paperwork stating the company and manufacturers guarantees, both...In the long run I did get my floor finally replaced 1 year later, but at the cost of the installer...NEVER EVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS OWNER OF FLOORING AMERICA OF REDDING. read more

Went to this store in the hopes of finding a one stop shop for my daughters new home. Hopes were exactly it, and dreams of working for our family is all they will get. Run for the hills and find a different store. I'm a pretty good judge of character and know when someone is blowing smoke and this store is full of smoke. Always remember if you are in sales and someone asks about a particular product, don't bad mouth it because the person writing the check might actually have that floor you are talking crap about and loves it!! read more

Working with Earthstones Tile has been a great experience. I spent a significant amount of time with Kelly of Earthstones yesterday. She even took my husband and I over to a competitor's store! Kelly wanted me to see options even if she didn't sell them. She is allowing us to keep some samples to look at overnight. Everyone at this company has been really nice and they have a very good selection of flooring. read more

We have had several jobs done by Earth Stones Granite. We had our kitchen changed from tile to granite. Additionally we had our kitchen, living room, dining room then our hall, bath and laundry room done with luxury vinyl. The first floor (kitchen, living and dining room) had to be replaced due to poor product. Interestingly I have a friend that had to have the same thing done but with carpet. They did make it right with us. Later we had the hall, bath and laundry room done. Once they had our money we didn't hear from them again. After over a month since the job was completed they have not called and asked about the work or asked for feedback. The very positive thing about our experience was the installers of the granite and the replacement floor; they were amazing. Unfortunately they don't work for Earth Stones however, which is Earth Stones' loss. We will not have the rest of our floors done by Earth Stones. Nor will we have our bathroom counters done by them. We know someone else who has done business with them only to decide to change companies to do the second half of her work. Between the floor needing to be replaced by a friend of ours and the person changing companies, I can see why the talk in the community is not very complimentary. read more

I can't even give this company one star!!! DON'T USE FLOORING AMERICA. I ordered prefab granite from a slab they had in the showroom and tile to match. Was told that they personally go to Sacramento and pick out the slabs making sure they match. Well that didn't happen as the 3 pieces that came in were all a different color and not even close in color to the piece I ordered from. Instead of apologizing for the error, all I got was "well you know you signed off in your contract with us that there could be a variance in color and we can't return them without charging you a 30% restocking fee". I found out later that the slab they had in their showroom that I ordered from was there for a very long time as it had the previous owners name on it.How could I have known that!!! My thought was that the salesman should have known this and should not have let me order from this slab at all to begin with. It had a white backround but the slabs that came one had a pink backround, another a tan backround and the third a salmon backround. The granite cutter could not cut them in any way to match for our kitchen countertop job and I agreed they were unacceptable. I signed off on a variance in color not 3 completely different colors!!!! I cancelled my contract and refused to work with Flooring America any longer as I THE CUSTOMER was made to feel I didn't have a case to complain. I had to pay the restocking fee before I could get my refund. I became my own contractor to finish this job and worked with Cutting Edge Granite and Design Time Tile and Sundial Tile to get the job done. They were all great in customer care, great product, fast, talented and good prices too. I'm posting this negative review because I don't want anyone, especially those affected by our fires who will be rebuilding,to have a bad experience. read more

Have had a very poor experience with this business. My flooring order was late, late, and late some more. While the sales associates were friendly and continuously apologetic, my transition pieces that I ordered in April are STILL not here, and it is mid-July. At this point, they do not return my phone calls anymore. Apparently they cannot get their suppliers to get them the merchandise, so they have wiped their hands of us. Not only did the supplier not deliver, but the sales associate who came to my house to measure for my flooring did not order enough transition pieces.... Yet another delay. Very painful experience and I will never go back! read more

The first two month contact this store to decide the countertop and tile is ok. But then the staff in the shop didn't measure the material right and need to reorder title reorder countertop and have trouble to contact fabricator and make the countertop on time. Staff and manager start to avoid calls and keep on postponing arrived date. Felt frustrated in communication and about mess up the construction schedule. Until I contact with the boss Craig, he tried his best to make it right. Finally got my countertop after the delay and like the stone and satisfied with the finish work in the end. I was greeted by a salesman & the owner who both made me feel quite uncomfortable. The owner got so close I could smell last nights alcohol on his breath. Lay off the booze buddy. He was pushy and arrogant, didn't listen to my needs at all and kept trying to up-sale me. I felt like I was at a used car dealership? Won't be back! read more

I just had my kitchen and bathroom countertops installed by Earth Stones and I love it! I met Ken and Andy at the Home Show in Redding and fell in love with the granite that was on display. Ken and Andy worked with me to make my remodel project affordable and a reality. They were very helpful, provided great customer service, gave me discounts, found interest free financing for me and made my dream a reality. I love my new kitchen countertops and bathroom countertop. I have had a lot of people comment on how gorgeous my countertops look. I cannot even begin to describe the terrible service I received from this company, actually just one person in particular, Ken. I was constantly lied to and over promised and under delivered for months. It was weeks of Ken saying different stories, excuses, and I caught him in several lies which I find absolutely unprofessional and inexcusable. To make matters worse out of pure desperation from one of his lies, he sent a hardwood flooring person to my carpet job and it was completely botched. The installer was very nice and independent from Earthstones. It was not his fault at all, he was set up to fail on a job he has no clue about because Ken was caught in a lie...again (notice a pattern?). The entire process was miserable and I can't even tell you how thankful I am after nearly 3 months of chaos to have nothing to do with Earthstones anymore. If I wouldn't have called over and over, I probably would still be waiting for my simple carpet installation. Speaking of which I'm still awaiting a phone call from the owner Craig who I left a voicemail for and never heard back, obviously customers are important. Thankfully I didn't hold my breath when Ken promised he call the day after the installation to ensure after everything on my job was finally complete, surprise surprise that call never happened, but he will lie and said he left a voicemail when he didn't. I would recommend never doing business with this company and paying a little more for quality service. I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt, that mistakes do happen and I am understanding of that, but not lies. I'm shocked this company is still in business, I know I am not the only customer this has happened to. It is unfortunate because I have many more remodeling projects to go in our new house and I definitely will be taking my business elsewhere. I have experienced the frustration of being unable to convey my "vision" to said professionals, and the joy of a well-executed project completion. Most recently I have had the true pleasure of working with someone who "gets me"; his name is Ken Zearley and he is with Earthstones in Redding CA. He has been almost psychic in his ability to "see" what I am trying to describe and explain with regard to my vision for my new kitchen, and considering that I am attempting this from Seattle, this is quite a feat!! I'm quite sure that his vast experience in the industry is partially responsible for his ability to secure my confidence, and I, myself, am so pleased with our progress so far that I am already finding other projects around my new home for him and his team to think about!! His positive attitude and easy but professional manner have de-stressed me greatly, and given me that great feeling that one gets when one is truly understood.
