This review is long overdue but sometimes life becomes hectic with work, kids, school, sport events & the holidays get in the way... I purchased a vacation home in Redondo Beach this past summer & needed to update the place a bit. My realtor recommended Carpet Pros for the flooring. I had the downstairs floors & staircase replaced with French Oak. I was very pleased with the quality of the flooring, installation & attention to detail. I was glad that they had the flooring in stock & the crew worked hard to make it all happen in 3 days, just in time for my first beach house party! Now I'm ready to work on the upstairs & once again carpet pros is there to work around my schedule. After stopping at several carpet companies looking at samples and checking prices, it was refreshing to meet Ralph Ramirez. No hard sell and a great price on the carpet I wanted. There was no issue allowing me take home the sample board to show my husband and check the color in my home. Delivery and installation was right on schedule and done correctly. I asked for 2 door rugs to be made from the small amount of left over carpet and not only didn't they charge me for them, the installer delivered them to my house. absolute disaster. If it was negative ranking was provided I would have leave -10. it took them 3 weeks to install carpet and eventually installed wrong carpet. Once Hope depot forced d them to replace it; three time they brought wrong carpet. At the 4th time they told me they are bringing the same carpet - that we told them this is wrong one. I am not sure why HD is using services of this unprofessional - maybe because they are cheaper than others. I am thinking about file complain against them. I lost a tenant (due to not have carpet for 3 weeks) and now I can not show the house to new ones because it has treble carpet. read more

Very unhappy with Carpet Pros. Do not hire them and if you are just starting a job with them I would consider stopping work and bringing someone else in to finish. They seem to take on more work then they can handle. We hired Carpet Pros to pull up carpeting and sand and refinish the wood floors in our small (800 sq ft) Manhattan Beach home. Every day they either showed up late, left early, or didn't show up at all. Anthony gave us a break on the final price but the project ran long, cost over twice the estimate, and the work was not great. I ended up finishing the baseboards myself. read more

We had several items from our house stolen when they came to install hardwood, including a brand new iPad that was still in the box. When I called them to report it numerous times, they never called me back. Shadiest, most untrustworthy company I've ever been involved with. In response to the most recent comment by the company, I am not mistaken as to the company that installed hardwood at my home - it was your company. At the time, I also thought your installers were nice and trustworthy. They appeared so trustworthy, I left them alone briefly to go run an errand. When the job was done, however, certain items were missing from my house. We purchased carpet from Anthony and he's a great sales guy. However, after one month I had an issue with the carpet pulling up from the floorboard and unraveling. I asked Anthony to send a service person to address the issue, and that's when it all changed. Just so you know, Anthony doesn't like to deal with "petty" customer complaints. When I asked him what he would do if he were in my position, he said he wouldn't complain...It's just not his nature because he believes that karma will take care of those of us who have the nerve to complain about low-quality workmanship. Installers were at my home till 10:40 PM. I had issues with some of the installation, carpet not to the wall on the stairs, base boards beat to heck, missing padding up to my wet bar, they broke a tile on my door entrance....This place played big games. I begged for 4 days to get some one out to fix my carpet. I had furniture out everywhere waiting to be put back. Moisture was getting to the items in my garage and cabana....I explained this to Home Depot, and Carpet Pros. They made me wait 4 days before I would have an inspector at my home, even though I had sent pictures to everyone involved..... It was my birthday, we were leaving for Vegas....they didn't care, I had to CX my airline res, our hotel room.... when I was finally called and told that I should expect an inspector on Friday, what time do I want them out? I said 1st thing...Karen at home depot, the special order person from home depot, said fine, I'll have them there at 7:00 AM. Then she called back to say the inspector would be here at 10:30, I said no, I wanted the 7:00 AM appointment, come to find out, no one is even open @ 7:00 AM. Karen was being nasty. When they did show up, it was 4 cars, 4 women and an inspector. A 5 person delegation of intimidation at my front door. 4 cars pulled up at my house. There was only 1 person qualified to inspect my carpet, and I had issues that took him 3 hours to repair. He was wonderful, and was quite upset with all these non carpet installers in my home. They even pulled out cell phones and took pictures. I still have issues that have not been addressed, my carpet has been repaired, but my beat up base board, my broken entrance tiles.....I will pay to have some one else repair. I don't want Carpet Pros anywhere near my home. Read their reviews before you go through Home Depot. This carpet pros are not what you want in your home. New carpeting is $$$$$$$ I expected better customer service, now I just want them to go away.Your review helps others learn about great local businesses. Carpet Pros and in particular Ralph Ramirez is unprofessional, and inattentive. My husband inquired about floor samples to accompany our remodel to our kitchen, dinning room and living room around 4 weeks ago. On my husbands first visit to the store we were given some samples but we were not interested in the samples given. Since the other samples were not in stock in the store we were told he would order them. We have not received any communication from Ralph Ramirez for a couple of weeks concerning the order and so I decided to call to follow up on the samples 5 days ago I still have not received any correspondence back from him. Carpet installers were great. Customer service and follow up of issues was poor. I will not use these installers again. I had an issue with one of my cabinets being damaged as a result of the floor installation. Cabinets in my kitchen had been installed for 5 years with no issues and after installation one cabinet started to come off the wall (leaning forward). When I contacted their service, they ignore the fact this was damaged as a result of the flooring job and refused to take responsibility. Poor service. read more

They guys took all the extra pieces and didn't leave me any touch up pieces even though there was a lot. This is the second time I have used Carpet Pros, 10 years ago and now. Ralph Ramirez in sales was awesome. He coordinated my Provenza wood floor installation with my contractor. He was there from the beginning of the remodel for the estimate and oversaw the completion of my floor with his follow up visits. The installers were professional, conscientious, and careful, especially David. He was a master at stair installation and came back for the touch ups and even cleaned my floor, getting rid of dust embedded in the wood from the construction. Do not and I repeat do not use this company please the only reason why I'm giving this one star is because I like my carpet! However, this company and it's installers do not know how to install carpet! Not only was I injured but most of my kids were as well because the tacking was not pounded out as it was supposed to be in the first place. I called Home Depot and complained about this company. I would NEVER step foot inside this store again! My husband and I tried to order underlayment for laminate here. I called at least 5 times to inquire about the status. I received NO return phone calls over a period of a couple of weeks. The customer service is totally INFERIOR. I even just spoke with the owner and told her that I was going to post a review on Yelp and instead of trying to make things right, she very curtly and disrespectfully responded "go ahead and do whatever you want." My experience with Andrew at Carpet Pros was horrible. My realtor reccommended I use him and as he told me "he works with all the builders".......but clearly not small home owners. For 2 rooms of carpeting, of which I had very few sample choices, he charged me 1600.00 for less then 400 sq feet of carpeting. Because I had to give him a 50% deposit I had no choice to cancell the order. When I mentioned the quote that Empire had given me as a rough estimate over the phone, Andrew laughed at me. They are complete thieves. I over bought boxes of wood flooring and they agreed to return 2 boxes. When I didn't receive the credit on my credit card, I followed up for a month and then finally rejected the charge on my credit card. The office staff ended up FORGING my signature electronically on a document (copying it from my credit card slip). I noticed the differences and even my credit card company could tell. Still no resolution to the issue while I'm out $500+ without the return of the extra boxes. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM - STAY AWAY! read more

This company ignores the national 'Do Not Call List" in triple violation. (1) They make cold sales call from a "spoofed" phone number that is not their own. (2) When you dial it back to ask to be removed from their call list, there is no way to do so. (3) Instead, when you call the "spoofed" number, you get a spoofed recorded message that "all circuits are busy"-- impersonating a phone company message which is also illegal, Why would anyone want to deal with this company which so flagrantly violates the law? read more

After having moved all the furniture their solutions was to move everything so we could have beds to sleep on and they would come the next day. Moving furniture 2 extra times was not solution! Agree with Kelly, THIEVES. Installed flooring prior to Christmas 2012. Never finished the job, the installation was done poorly, never rolled. Issues started arrising right away. They charged my card for the services even though the job wasn't complete. Called Anthony, never heard back. Tried to reverse it with the bank, no luck. Went to BBB, Carpet Pros woudn't reply to them either. Check BBB soon to see the full story. He sent a team of 4 installers to my home to make sure everything would be completed in a single day. They were on time, friendly, courteous and professional. They took good care of all my furniture as they moved through the house. When I called to say 'thank you' to Anthony, he reminded me that I have a one year warranty on installation, showing that he wants to make sure that I am completely satisfied. Carpet Pros were the installers for carpet purchased at Home Depot in September 2015. First, Carpet Pros called to set up appointments for installations twice, then cancelled on the day of installation- after I had taken the day off from work! Third time must be a charm because they showed up on the 3rd appointment scheduled but I had my niece let them in since I had taken two previous days off from work with no shows. They were to install carpet in 2 rooms. Keep in mind I had both those rooms painted one month prior and was excited about getting new carpet. To my dismay, when I got home to look at the new carpets - there were chunks of plaster missing from the lower parts of the walls in both rooms! It appears as if the installers had inadvertently hit the walls with some kind of tool while installing the carpet. I contacted Carpet Pros, sent pictures and they said they would not repair the damage - "it must have been there when their installers arrived". So I am going to have my rooms painted and then go knock chunks of stucco out when the new carpet is installed???? RIGHT. I contacted Home Depot, sent pictures, they came out to see the damage and said they would repair the damage. That was 3 months ago!!! To date I still have chunks of plaster missing from my walls due to poor craftsmanship by Carpet Pros installers and even worse customer service. Their customer service team was extremely disrespectful on the phone - all of them!! I used Carpet Pros for a major job in Manhattan Beach last summer and they did an excellent job. We were in somewhat of a time crunch and they made it happen working on a Saturday to get the job done. After a few months the floors began to have some streaking marks that looked like wax marks?? I was not sure what was wrong but I knew something was not right. I originally called Carpet Pros because my real estate agent recommended them and because they pride themselves on customer satisfaction. They offer a one year guarantee so it was time to put that to the test. I called and received Anthony Franco, a newer sales rep for Carpet Pros. Anthony came to assess the situation and agreed the job could be improved. I did not have to hassle or fight with them..... it was that simple! They let us know that they would complete the job while we were on vacation. We got a complete re-buff and coat and it looks spectacular. When we returned from vacation I was dreading the dust mess I was going to return to but to my surprise it looked as if no one had ever been in the house. It was AMAZING! I am all for a company that stands behind their word. I think ANTHONY FRANCO is a great sales associate who takes pride in his job and the company he works for. Anthony Franco was my salesman for a small job of wood flooring. On Apr 20 he agreed to deduct $500 from my bill because my contractor ended up doing the demo. On May 22 Anthony confirmed I would be credited. On June 23 Anthony said he would correct the overbilling. On July 18, and only through the intervention of Becky in the office at Carpet Pros, I received my credit. Am I happy with the workmanship: yes. I lucked out with the actual workers and with Becky. I struck out with Anthony. Find yourself another salesman. read more
