When we first visited the Tallaght branch, the staff were extremely helpful, especially Colm, who really went out of his way to assist us. This gave us confidence to go with Deskelly, even though their pricing was only average compared to other quotes. We chose them because we expected professionalism and reliability from a larger company. Unfortunately, the reality was very different. Endless Postponements: Dates we had confirmed in the shop were not entered into their system. More than once, I was told last-minute that the fitting was postponed, including on the very morning I was expecting them. This caused huge stress, especially since I had to rearrange the delivery of a new bed and other furniture several times. Customer Care Issues: Communication with customer care was one of the most frustrating parts. Calls were cut off while I was still talking, promises of follow-up were not kept, and I constantly had to chase updates myself. The lack of respect for my time and situation was very disappointing. Inconsistent Fitting Standards: The LVT team did an excellent, clean job. The carpet fitting, however, was messy and inconsistent. Some areas were left unfinished, and in one case the fitter admitted he had used leftover carpet because the measurement hadn't been done properly. Since Deskelly themselves took the measurements, I don't understand how this could happen, and I was left feeling like I had to accept poor standards for something I paid a premium for. In the end, the work was only completed after weeks of stress, delays, and unnecessary back-and-forth. For a company that presents itself as professional and charges above handyman prices, I honestly expected far better. Overall, while some staff tried to help (again, Colm was excellent), the overall process was exhausting, uncoordinated, and frustrating. I would strongly urge Deskelly to improve their communication, scheduling, and accountability so that future customers don't go through what I did. I left this experience frustrated and disappointed, and I genuinely cannot recommend them.

Got email back today saying they would cover nothing, even though I have spent over €8000 with them. Myself and my partner have dealt with Hamptons a good few times over the past couple years for our rental properties. Each time, the team has been professional, honest about pricing and timing and they have left the areas spotless. The last time we dealt with Hamptons, we were looking for a specific carpet that their regular suppliers don't have, yet Joe and his team went above and beyond to source it elsewhere for us. Honestly couldn't fault them. I wish they did property management as we have not been so lucky in that department!! Thank you Hamptons, would recommend yous again and again!!

Please avoid these guys at all costs. Choosing Hamptons was one of the worst decisions I've made…read more My experience with Joe, Doru, and their team has been a nightmare from start to finish. The flooring installation was scheduled over a month in advance, but at the last minute Joe cancelled the work and kept delaying it. Despite being very confident about the quality of his team's work, the reality was completely different. The workmanship was extremely poor. During the installation, they damaged several parts of my house, including the doors, walls, and skirting boards. In fact, the skirting boards now look worse after constant re installation. Within a week of the flooring being installed, it started developing creaking noises. The noise transfer from the first floor also became so bad that creaking noises could be heard clearly downstairs. When I raised these issues, both Joe and Doru were extremely unprofessional and rude. Instead of taking responsibility, they kept making excuses and blaming each other. One particular issue involved a section of the first floor with a very loud creaking noise. The installation team insisted the timber subfloor was causing the problem. However, when the laminate was removed, the creaking disappeared. A new laminate plank was then installed, and the noise was completely gone. This clearly showed the issue was with the installation, yet they still refused to accept responsibility and continued changing their explanations. It has now been less than a year since the installation, and we have been continuously following up for more than 6 months to have these issues fixed. Despite numerous promises, nothing has been resolved. All we have received are delays, excuses, and a refusal to stand behind their work. I have loads of videos showing the creaking flooring I would strongly advise anyone considering Hamptons to look elsewhere.

Day 2 - Finished job. We came home that night to find that they made a hole in our wall down near the back door at the skirting, and just left it like that, and they didn't bother to caulk the skirting boards which had been damaged. So we text Gary with photos of the damage and he sent someone the following day and mentioned apologies for this. Day 3 - Luca arrived to caulk the skirting boards as it was left undone with massive gaps. His excuse was that he had run out of caulk and that he didn't bother to caulk because he presumed I would paint the skirting. Which is why they left it in such a bad condition. Regarding the hole in the wall down near the back door he said this happens so I said it wouldn't happen if he would pry the board off close to the reinforced corner bead. And he shrugged it off. The holes for the radiator pipes had been roughly cut out with a jigsaw instead of using a spade or holesaw drill-bit which would've given a cleaner more professional finish. The offcuts for the radiator slots in the floor were thrown away so he just cut new pieces to fit in place as a "patchwork job". He also filed with a hand file parts of the floorboard which were touching against the radiator pipes that had "no clearance allowance" for movement. They didn't seem to have the right tools for the job. All of the offcuts and rubbish had been dumped on our newly laid grass in the back garden for us to dispose of. Overall the finish was very rough and unsatisfactory for €1200. We tried to communicate with Gary for a reduced price of €1000 due to the shoddy workmanship and he bullied us into paying up and was completely unprofessional. Unsurprisingly the 1 positive review on the GSI Flooring facebook page is actually written by Gary Stewart of GSI flooring. We definitely would NOT recommend using GSI Flooring.

We had GSI Flooring fit our house with wooden flooring and carpet less than a year ago…read more We were so happy with the job when it was complete but this all changed less than 2 months later. We started noticing issue with the carpet on the stairs. Excessive wear became visible mere weeks after it was fitted. There are only 2 in the house and we both work full time so the carpet is not being walked on excessively. We do not wear shoes on the carpet and hoover it regularly. This damage is completely unjustified, especially only weeks after it was fitted. I contacted Gary from GSI flooring and explained the issue. I included photos of the damage in my email. He sent one of the guys out who fitted the carpet, Luca. Luca inspected the carpet and acknowledged the damage. He said it was common on this kind of carpet. I kept pointing out that it shouldn't of occurred mere weeks after being fitted - he never once addressed this point. I also pointed out that if I was advised that this damage was common on this type of carpet, I never would have purchased it. Luca just shrugged at this. While he was there, he generally spoke over me and insisted that the carpet and the fitting were of good quality. Before leaving he said that he was willing to refit the carpet but the decision was down to Gary. I heard nothing for 2 weeks after this. I contacted Gary again, from this point he began fobbing my emails off. This continued for 1 week before Gary finally claimed that Luca said there was nothing wrong with the carpet, which is untrue. He went on to claim that Luca said he would replace the carpet on the stairs and that he informed us that he would need to be paid for it. Again, untrue. Gary then suggested that Luca left the decision up to us and we haven't been in contact since....? Untrue! I'm not sure who exactly from GSI Flooring is lying, but someone is. Bottom line is, there is clearly an issue here. We were either sold poor quality carpet or underlay or the materials were not fitted correctly. None of these factors are our fault. We put our trust in GSI Flooring only to discover that they are more than happy to leave their customers out of pocket with extremely poor quality flooring. Would I recommend GSI Flooring? Absolutely not!!
