This is my 2nd review of Flooring King. Unfortunately, the floors that were originally installed in…read more2020 were ruined by a leak that went through our house. Not all the areas were bad, but we decided to replace all the flooring to avoid the possibility of mold forming. After remediation was done to dry the walls, we coordinated with Alex to pick out the floors. Communication throughout was great and pricing was more than reaaonable. This install was exceptional. Our quote included moving furniture, removing baseboards and flooring and replacing with new, and hauling the removed flooring to the dump. They took their time to make it right, but they worked quickly and even navaigated through some rain that came through. We had an area in our kitchen where the concrete subfloor was raised, and instead of installing the flooring over that area for a surprise broken board later, they showed us the problem and my husband grinded down that area flat. They came back the next day to finish the floors. I will always respect integrity and honesty in any company we hire! If you read reviews about floors cracking or having issues, it is very likely the subfloor had poor prep or a poor surface, so keep that in mind. I do not believe that Flooring King handles floor prep, so if you have a bad subfloor, and don't get it fixed prior to install, you will very likely run into problems as these are floating floors and are only as good as the surface they're laid on. We were very satisfied with the install, the installers, the pricing and Flooring King. They helped to make a stressful situation more manageable!
