Upon my initial visit I was greeted by Jason while he was taking care of other customers. Jason was patient and helped me select a tile that matched a picture I showed him. What I absolutely loved about Jason was his concern about getting the correct dimensions for my job. I live a distance away but that was never an issue with them. The installer was Hugo, and I cannot say enough about how hard this guy works and what a fabulous job he did completing the installation in 1 day. We could not be happier with the choice we made and the final look of the room. We chose to have the 1/4 round at the base instead of removing and replacing baseboards and it looks seamless! We bought laminate floors for our new house through this company. They were so great. I had picked out two different floors. One was more expensive than the other (and also not featured in their store, although he could get it for me). Most companies would push the more expensive one, so they can make more money. I have used this company to install tile in my living room. They have done a decent job and completed the task within three days, as promised. However, there were several issues which have made the whole experience not quite perfect: - The installer, Walter, was late every day but especially so on the last day. He told me that he was going to come at 10:30 am but actually showed up after 1:00 pm and in my opinion smelled of alcohol that day. - Walter seems to have a penchant for slamming doors. It was very disconcerting to sit and listen to the front door slam every few minutes as Walter was going in and out. The vibrations reverberated throughout the entire house. I was wondering if I'm going to have to replace the door and/or the lock next. - The installers left the bathroom a mess. When I went to the bathroom the floor was completely wet and for some reason the shower was turned on. When I asked Walter what happened he made some flippant comment. Other than these few issues, this seems like a good company to use for flooring. read more

Then we went home and decided to expand the project. Jason was very accommodating and we ordered more product and scheduled an installation. We understand not all jobs can be done perfectly. Our job with Distinctive was far from perfect. We basically had our whole house done and many issues: *Purchased all new baseboards, they didn't replace all of them, and they were provided pictures as evidence - they deducted this from the bill. Provided Distinctive with the pictures of old baseboard with old paint on them and they called their installer knowing this was not done. *The carpet was not tacked down in several areas, cut short, stained from wearing shoes while being installed, and a 2-3" slice in the carpet coming off the wall, very noticeable -After Distinctive was requested to come see the issues first hand they had to send another installer out to seam the slice, stretch the carpet, tack the carpet down, and reimbursed us for the cleaning cost - evidence provided and on-site assessment with Distinctive. *No clean up after the laminate floors were installed and new carpets were not vacuumed. We were told they would clean up when finished. Pictures/evidence provided to Distinctive. We spent several hours cleaning ourselves. The laminate cutting dust covered the floors and the carpet fibers/small cut pieces were everywhere. *We asked that the installers not wear shoes while installing the off white carpets. Pictures/evidence provided to Distinctive with shoe prints all over the carpets. Would not have seen the prints if they would have cleaned up and vacuumed like they said they would. *Installers left the bathroom a mess....daily. Had to clean up the floor/toilet and another reason for having the carpets cleaned. Distinctive tried to blame the issues on others and our painters. No one else was in the home after they finished. Very bad experience, wouldn't go back to this store, and certainly wouldn't recommend to anyone else. read more
