We recently completed a small bar/kitchen area and bathroom project using tile from Floor & Decor in Memphis, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Before placing our order, we requested several tile samples from the Floor & Decor website so we could see the options in our home. After narrowing down our choices, we contacted the Memphis store and were connected with Marsha Turner, a design consultant there. Marsha was incredibly helpful in pulling everything together. She helped us finalize the backsplash selection, recommended the pencil trim that perfectly complements the glass tile, and advised us on the best grout color so the glass tiles would really stand out. Her guidance made a difference in the finished result. Although we live near Little Rock, the Memphis store is our closest location since moving from California. This is actually the fourth home where we've purchased tile from Floor & Decor, and once again the process was smooth and easy. Delivery also went perfectly. The freight truck arrived with a lift gate, and the driver used a pallet jack to place the tile directly in our garage, which made unloading very easy. We went in for some porcelain tile, that is about 50 years old. We asked a saleslady, by the name of Erica, if she could help us. Erica went above and beyond telling us about the tile and showing us different options to replace the damaged area. She was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. She answered all our questions and guided us on the process of different options that were available to us. We were very pleased with her personality and willingness to assist us. This is our go to store anytime we are doing a project. The prices are affordable, the stock is plentiful, and the quality is top tier. We have gotten everything from hardwood, tile, concrete, and more from this one place and haven't had any issues. The store staff is also helpful and willing to assist in anyway possible. When you visit, you will quickly learn that everything is neat and in place. It's not hard to navigate and find the things you need. The prices are listed bright and bold. Absolutely worst customer experience that I have experienced in my life. I hate to bring race into the equation because I am in an interracial marriage and my wife was present but we were directed to handle our purchase a certain way from the pickup department. We sat outside and waited for 1 hour for them to load our items. I asked if it was normal to wait for 1 hour for items to be loaded and they said yes. I walked out and approached the manager for a refund $3,000+ purchase, and explained to him our situation. He said he just got there and asked us what happened. I explained I completed my transaction as I was instructed by his staff. I told him had I known I was going to sit and wait for 1 hour for them to load 2 pallets of flooring I would have done them myself because I had a paid worker there to help me. Also I explained If i was told it would be an hour wait to load the pallets that I could have gone to lunch and come back to pick them up instead they just had me wait and were extremely rude even about me approaching through the delivery bay door which had no sign "Customers do not enter here." If the quality of product reflects the culture of customer service I decided I would never buy here, and with it being my first experience am not sure how many tens of thousands of dollars they may have lost from botching this sale. All they had to do was show some politeness or communication skills into the process so that it would have gone smoothly. Companies like this do not deserve me or my companies money and I hope that they re-evaluate their values from top to bottom. I live in the Midwest 6 hours from this store. I had bought up all the vinyl flooring of a discontinued SKU in my entire city to finish a renovation in my home. After contractors laid floor, I was ONE box short...After calling over a dozen stores scattered over the U.S., I was either going to have to pay for the cost of the one box PLUS ~$288 shipping cost (not based on actual cost to ship), or drive 12 hours round trip if I didn't want to pay the gouge shipping price. After I spoke briefly over the phone with Peachlyn and the manager Scott, I was able to buy the one box of flooring, and they arranged next day shipping at a much more reasonable shipping price. I sincerely appreciate their GREAT service and willingness to take the time to listen to customer needs. If I lived anywhere near Memphis, this store would have my business forever. I asked her if they has this one hardwood in a lighter color. She suggested I buy the darker and then have it sanded and stained lighter. Floor and Decor happens to be open on a Sunday. The other place we go to is closed on Sunday. But here as well you can find all your flooring needs. Hardwood, laminate, tile, marble and etc. the prices are really reasonable. For the do it your self of the professional you have everything in one place. The latest project at my home was a tile backsplash on both sides of my kitchen. For that project and the three tile projects at my investment home (kitchen homemade counter and bar, bathroom tile floor, bathtub tile surround) I utilize this store. Their prices are really good. You can get super high-end material, or basic builder-grade depending on your needs and tastes. I was returning merchandise and without taking one look at me she just yelled across the isle she would take back a full box but not the individual broken tile. Fine! It's stupid but fine. I'll take back two broken tile, drive an hour and a half away and back to bring back these same two broken tile and three unbroken ones so i can get 5 unbroken tile. Regardless, lift up your stupid head and talk to people instead of yelling comments across the isle like you have no upbringing! We are customers, we spend lots of money (or dud) at your store . I messed up my tile install by using the wrong grout color. Mapei has a grout called grey but comes out more brown especially against black and white tile. I was devastated. Unfortunately this happened over a month ago and I can't remember the young lady's name who was an angel that day.. Sharee... something like that. Anyhow, she looked at all my photos, listened to my concerns, and saved this job by connecting me with a grout coloring agent and all I would need to correct it. You can find everything you need in this huge warehouse of a store. I was overwhelmed, at first, but the staff is unbelievably helpful and nice to work with. Someone will stay with you all the time, helping you pick out just what you need, loading it onto a cart, and loading it into your car or truck. This is the place to go. Over the past year I have worked for a company that buyes flooring for entire houses at least once a month usually we take a truck to go get the flooring but was in my car I know in the past year we have spent $10,000 Or more, so we order some quarter round, an normally a Lowe's or Home Depot provides tie string to tie the quarter round down.. I asked the young man. If the provided it He said no you have to by it... I then proceeded to tell him how Lowes and Home Depot help and do Things... The worst customer service that I have ever received in my life happened this morning. My friends DO NOT purchase from Floor & Decor. This is what I sent to them below. ***update*** I went back to this store with an RMA in hand and they STILL refused to exchange this saw!!! I have had the worst customer service experience of my life at this store. I purchased a Goldblatt saw on 9-2-20. The saw has a couple of items that are defect and needed to be repaired. I went to the store last week and the individual told me that to simply bring the saw to the store. This morning i went in and the cashier paged and individual to the front to look at the saw. I was told they couldn't take the saw back since it had been used. I was told by this individual that he was the only manager at the store at the time. I made the comment that i had spent over $3,500 at this store and "DOM" made the comment back to me that that didn't mean anything to him. I was appalled by his comment. I asked for his name at that time. The cashier made the comment to him "he didn't do anything wrong". At the end there were 4-5 individuals that were basically shouting at me and i asked that they calm down and let's discuss the situation. I can tell you I will and will suggest that no one that i know ever purchase anything from a Floor & Decor store. Your store personnel need customer service training in a bad way. I at no point did I elevate my voice or made any foul language to anyone even though I was very close. I made the comment that I wish I had never purchased a single item from this location.
