My visit to this store is exhibit A of why big retail stores are dead or dying. I don't know what kind of hood operation this is but it's hilarious, shut this location down, they aren't even trying with this one. Unfortunately I had to use the restroom, it was DISGUSTING, I had to stand in another persons pee puddle under the urinal to use the bathroom. The smell of urine was clear out to the water fountains. The bathrooms and bathroom access looked like the entrance to a crack house. See pics. Inside the store, aisles were wrecked, product thrown everywhere. I was potentially interested in buying a rug but there were no prices on the items, searched vigorously and couldn't find. What a crazy experience, there's absolutely nothing I couldn't have purchased from Amazon and had on my porch next day from this store. What kind of psychopath searches through a nasty store like this, stands in line and pays double for the same Chinese items. I was so surprised to see the great At Home store in such a mess. I really like the store very much but this time it was just not fun shopping there for all the merchandise being so unorganized. I am sure they will straighten it up and get it back to looking good. Hopefully this will happen soon because now you can't hardly find anything because it's scattered everywhere in the store. I have purchased some pretty unique items from them throughout the years. I love because it is never over crowded, so you can shop til you drop with no interruptions. My first time checking out the place! Loved it! Such an awesome store. So many options and gives you great ideas. Just perfect for people who have just moved to the area to find some great objects to organize their home. I got this end table, loved that it had shelves so I added a basket to organize notepads. It was perfect. I got this other storage unit. My favorite aspect was the chalkboard like signs. It was perfect for those knick-knacks that don't need to be displayed, but needs a bin to be in. Plus it fit with my theme perfectly. The yarn basket was perfect for my throw blankets for my couch. Loved the color and the sturdiness. I chose it because it won't snag on the blankets like a wicker basket would. I highly recommend people to go especially if you're on a budget. You can find some fantastic deals! Went into the store to purchase a bed frame and the young girl that wears a black mask with glitter on it came to assist but instead of asking what we needed she called for another associate to come help to get an heavy item. I explained that is not what I needed assistance with and instead of assuming ask the customer what is needed. I explained that online they displayed that had a particular item in stock she cut me off to state what's out is all they have. I asked if she could call the other store she explained that i would have to do that. I asked if customer service not available through the store she said no. The new layout was a little confusing at first if you were used to the way it was as Garden Ridge. We went in looking for picture frames for an art project and was disappointed there was only two small aisles up front where there used to be 10. Hubby suggested touring around to see what else they had and said maybe there were more frames elsewhere. That's why I take him, he has built-in radar. Sure enough he found more frame aisles and a lot of them. We bought multiple sizes, some matted, some not and filled the cart. Checkout took a long time as it always does, but I will wait in line for a great deal. They give a military discount which is a nice treat anymore. Whole cart of frames = $200 and even more fun while completing the art project. Look around quite a bit. They have huge selections but they might now always be close in proximity. I am from out of town and was looking forward to visiting the At Home in Memphis, Tn On Summer Ave. I was helping my aunt find barstools and asked for assistance from an associate. This associate was VERY standoffish and proceeded to cut us off when we asked questions. Thankfully, Sabrina was very patient and assisted us with finding the correct barstools. I could spend hours in this store...wait, who am I kidding...I have. I am absolutely in love with it. That being said I never visited when it was Garden Ridge, so I can't compare like many others. Its like IKEA meets pier 1. So much cool stuff for literally EVERY home decor style. Some of it may not be high end quality but the price reflects that and it's good enough for me. Full departments dedicated to: wall art, shelving, bar stools, holiday, kitchen, storage, bathroom, bedding, mirrors, trunks, fake plants...anything you need. Some of my favorite finds include a nice big metal-framed rustic wall clock for my dining room: $20. Painted glass accent table: $10. Pflatzgraff red dining set: 1/2 retail price. The only drawback about this store is customer service. Nobody offers to help. When you seek someone out and ask for help in a certain department, nobody comes. I once scooted an employee ladder halfway across the store and climbed up to get my dishes off a top shelf after waiting 45 minutes for help and asking 2 times. read more

Garden Ridge is such a random accumulation of fun things. I can spend literally hours in here. It's a huge warehouse full of things for your home. Garden Ridge is one of those places where you may have to do some digging around to find what you like, but it'll be for a good deal. They have some great sales, and I've scored some nice pieces for my new house. They also have furniture, clothing, outdoor stuff, luggage... I could go on. I have no idea how I'v lived in the Memphis area for almost 3 years and NOT have been here before!! First off this store is HUGE, the best way I can describe it is ... take a building around the size of Walmart and pack it full of items similar to what you would find at TJ Maxx, Michaels and Home Goods and you have about half of what this store has haha! The prices of items throughout the store are comparable as well to those stores listed above. They literally have just isles and isles and more isles of home decor, wall decor, furniture, bed and bath, cooking items, out door items ... you could literally decorate your whole house from top to bottom - inside and outside with just the items purchased at this store! The only things I can possibly think of that it didn't have was a clothing section haha --- Loved it! read more

It carries that everything that you need in order to furnish your home with the 'details' -- (cute) large vases, smaller vases, frames, pictures, furniture, lamps galore -- the bases and the shades separate so you can mix and match, silk flower arrangements -- you name it. Bedding, towels -- it's basically like Old Time Pottery multiplied by ten. And the prices are slightly higher. You can even find knights in shining armor for around $70. Smaller items include cheap color books for kids, turtle-shaped kiddie pools, and tents. read more

I heart Garden Ridge. This place is a mecca in the way of household items and decor. In fact, if you cannot find it here- you've got some serious issues. This place is well stocked and offers fabulous prices on some equally fabulous items. They have vases, bedding, towels, mirrors, picture frames, furniture, lamps, rugs and even gift items. It reminds me a lot of my back home favorite, Hobby Lobby. They have an awesome selection in the floral department. I've taken to making my own wreaths for the different seasons, and Garden Ridge never disappoints in this department. read more

Be careful about purchasing rugs from this place. The ticket will say 8x10 for a particular price but when you get the rug home and measure it, it's completely off. I purchased what was marketed as "8x10" but got home and it's 6.3x 9. The manager Tonya stated At Home can't provide any discounts since this is a "vendor" issue. This is highway robbery and beware. So unfair, bring your tape measure before you waste gas, time and money. read more

I am in love with this place! Giant warehouse packed full of everything you can possibly need. They have furniture, decor, garden furniture, kitchen stuff, bed sheets, carpets, etc. Just everything! And it's all incredibly affordable. I kicked myself in the butt for not knowing about this place sooner. If you are a college student or newlyweds on a budget, this is the place to check out for anything you need for your house. Be warned though, it is HUGE so you will need to set aside at least 2.5 hours to roam around especially if you've never been before. I will say though that one drawback is that the employee to store size ratio is completely disproportionate. You can never find anyone to help with anything. You just have to grab the ladders and reach things on the shelves yourself. I personally didn't care, but I can see how this arrangement wouldn't work for disabled or older folks. They should definitely try and improve the situation because this place is too awesome to give people any reason not to shop here! read more

Here is the summary: At Home does not stand by their products so I encourage you to make sure you are 100% satisfied before you leave the store because once you've purchased, that's the end of At Home's interest in you as a customer. I purchased some solar lamps on yard stakes. The stakes are not strong enough to hold the lights up. I found this out by putting them in my yard, where they fell over. Tried to return them - a long, inconvenient drive - but the policy is no returns if used, even if defective. I don't understand how not performing as designed is not equivalent to defective. Since I was stuck with the lights, I figured out a way to position them in my yard. The lights started failing almost immediately. It is a little over a month since purchase and four out of five lights have failed. (Compared to two similarly priced lights I purchased from Amazon over a year ago which work just fine.) I contacted the company via Facebook as well as via a direct email to the customer care department in an attempt to give them an opportunity to resolve this but have heard nothing. The staff at the store was very kind and clearly doing their best but must follow the policies they have been given. I have no issue with the staff. My issue is with the team outside the store who are supposedly responsible for service. I have tried my best to give At Home an opportunity to rectify this matter. But they have not.
