I've only visited this store once and I received the WORST customer service and shopping experience ever. The kids that work in the store are flat out lazy. No one greeted me or asked if I needed help. One girl attempted to help me, but then decided that it's not her department or part of what she does to help and did not try to find someone that could. The girl at the register clearly didn't know how to charge for sample flooring and after charging me twice me because I only wanted one, wasn't even able to tell that I had two instead of one even after asking for assistance to scan. It was a nightmare and I do not recommend the location. The kids need to go back to school ASAP. read more

What a NIGHTMARE! If you have a big project STAY AWAY! We were so excited to be building our dream home and found good prices on a tile we were going to use through all the bathrooms and laundry rooms. The store in Buford, GA was a bit of a drive for us (1.5 hours) but to get what we wanted we figured it was work the trip, right? Nope, first they didn't have enough of the product and so we special ordered another pallet which we paid for that day. They wouldn't ship it to us so we had to make the drive again with a trailer. When we got it back to the house and opened it up it was all the discolored reject tiles that everyone else had brought back and they wrapped them all together! Over half the pallet was SHIT tiles! My guess is they sold our nice new pallet and gave us the leftovers. So we called and they said they would order another one and we would have to drive back again to return the bad tiles and get the new ones. In my opinion, they should have delivered the damn things and came to pick up their mistake, but no, not what happened. So our tiles come in, but we work during the week and can't come get them right away. The lady calls and says if we don't pick it up by Saturday shes's going to have to sell them! We already paid for them! So we miss work and drive up the next day to pick them up and guess what, they can't find them! After and hour and a half of looking they had to resort to going back and looking at the cameras. Another hour later and they tell me apparently they "accidentally" shipped them off somewhere else the day before! Even thought they just called me the day before telling me to come get it! This is the most unprofessional, incompetent, and unsympathetic store. We wasted 3 days driving to and from this location and now we have to start over looking for tile elsewhere because there's no way in hell I'm still buying from them. We went there three times and they just can't get it right. SO SO SO disappointed and angry! read more

Visited the store today. Found a sink for a vanity. The color on the box indicated that it was white. Online it showed to have gray in it. I asked a cashier if we could open the box so I could confirm the color. she told me it was against their policy to allow me to open any boxes and that if I wanted to see what it looked like I would have to buy. if it wasn't what I wanted I could just return. luckily another employee walked by and opened the box for me. I would have to say this has been the worst experience I have had ever. Worst customer service. I wish I had chosen another place. I have paid for my order in full, preordered and scheduled pickup. We came here with no idea how to install the brick facade for the fireplace remodel we are tackling, and we left with the confidence and materials we needed to tackle it. DONT SHOP HERE!!!! These people don't want to sell there merchandise. We are redoing our entire LARGE KITCHEN and they did not want to work with us and we are willing to spend the money to have our kitchen look good. They were trying to sell us a cracked sink (floor model) for full price and no box. They had new ones available but were too lazy to pull us a boxed sink. The staff could care less. Go figure. A NICE RESOURCE WHEN YOU ARE READY TO MAKE SOME CHANGES! Although I am closer to the Roswell store, I like this one better simply because it appears to be more open and better stocked. Most importantly, it is always appropriately staffed and I have never had to wait an unreasonable amount of time to complete my purchase. If you are traveling north on 85 from south of Buford, 85 will take you straight to the door. They are located in a building that once belonged to Brand Smart. I recently purchased my wall and floor tiles from Floor and Decor simply because they had the best selection when it came to sizes and trim pieces and I also liked their prices. I am not one to make quick decisions about important matters related to my home so I took about six months to do the research and explore their products. I like their luxury vinyl options and if you need more information, simply contact them via their on-line chat and request a spec sheet. You will receive the information within minutes via e-mail. Although I visited at least ten other stores, I always came back to Floor and Decor because I liked the feel and properties of their products and I could not find any negative reviews for the specific product I chose. I found it quite interesting that the worst flooring reviews came from two of the largest and most recognized names based right here in Georgia. The nature of those reviews dealt with the poor quality of the product, damage and defects in the product and the manufacturer not standing behind the product once a problem is discovered. Some people simply prefer to install their flooring themselves but if you need installation, Floor and Decor uses a third party company called Installations Made Easy. For me, this is a bit hands off and I need to vet these people myself because I am interested in their preparation process and how they will make sure that my sub-floors are in top shape prior to the install. Some companies just come in and lay the materials without any thought to making sure that the foundation is good to go. No bueno! I need to be able to ask those open ended questions that let me know that they know what they are doing. I want that "old school" guy that takes his time and does it right because when you are just working with one guy that you hire yourself, you have more flexibility and control over the process and anything that comes up can be addressed. When my neighbor was having his carpet installed, he saw some flooring issues that he wanted addressed but was told "We just install carpet". This is also why you need to make sure that you address all of the possibilities BEFORE you hire. So, Floor and Decor is a great option for those who want to do it themselves and for those who are looking to purchase materials for their contractor. Don't forget to shop other locations as well because you will sometimes find different options available. Happy Shopping! ***If you want to take some of their flooring samples, (luxury vinyl planks) home, you may purchase as many as you want from the open sample box at $5 a piece and return them when done for a full refund. This is great! Grab multiple pieces so that you can get a realistic look and simply move them around to different rooms and leave them overnight so that you can get a real picture of how they will look in your space. This process helped us to make a decision regarding the best look for our entire area. read more

I checked in to pick up my order at 0815. I did not receive my order till 0900. Four customers came and went in front of us. One of them had not even checked in and was allowed to check in after receipt of their order. When we complained we were told by Randall okay, okay its coming. Customer Service is not in their DNA. Had a great experience but once the purchase was made it went downhill very fast. I purchased countertops for a bar area and a bathroom vanity. Was told at the time of purchase once you make your payment in full for the material it would be no more than 14 days for the measurement and installation would be complete. It has been 26 days and still no countertops. Customer service is not existent with Floor & Decor. I tried to call the countertop representative (Elena) a few times and didn't receive a call back. I then tried to call the store manager (Joel) and didn't receive a call back. I then went into the store to Joel. He listened to my issues and told me he would contact his 3rd party supplier and stated he would call me back with a solution. I never received a call. Joel gave my information over to Elena and when she contacted me she didn't know my issues. read more

We tried to return tile within the 90 days policy. We have never been treated so rudely and by the store manager no less. He refused to take back our $1500 purchase, telling us they no longer had the tile and couldn't resell it. What happened to their ANY LOCATION, 90 day return policy? The tile was exactly in the condition we purchased it and we were totally within their return policy parameters. Our experience was totally unacceptable. We did decide to drive 50 miles to another location which did have the tile and were able to return it. Should we have had to be inconvenienced that way? Should customers be treated so rudely and humiliated as we were? Absolutely not! We were going to purchase porcelain tile at Floor and Decor, but I assure you we will never darken the door of one of their stores nor spend a dime of our money there. read more

I had a mixed experience but got what I was looking for in the long run. I asked an employee if she could check to see if there were additional tiles that I was looking for in the back of the store. After about 10 minutes of waiting the employee came back and said that the inventory stated there were 2000 in the inventory but she could not find them and asked if I wanted to go to another store to pick them up. I said no thank you and flagged down another employee when she walked away. That employee named Natasha was able to find the exact tiles that I needed and I did not have to go to another store. Love this place. Employees are so kind and helpful. Everyone that My husband and I have encountered was knowledgable and friendly. A large selection of tiles and other materials. We bought porcelain tiles look like hardwood to install in our living room so that it won't get scratched up by our dogs and the quality of the tiles is amazing. I love this place. I remodeled my home using hardwood floors six years ago that I purchased from the Atlanta location. My floors had water damage this year and I went to the Buford location, where I found the same flooring, for the same reasonable price.
