They also do remodeling, so I will definitely use them again for remodeling or restoration.

I had a terrible experience with this company and the owner, Ethan…read more I spoke with Ethan to get an estimate for mold remediation at a property I am selling. I was very clear with him (as documented in writing) that I wanted to go with the option he explained for the removal of the impacted panels, treatment of what remained, disposal, etc. He sent back an estimate for roughly $3,000. On the day of the remediation, they looked under a couple ceiling panels and contacted me to let me know they would create a new estimate and perform the remediation the following week. To be clear, they did not perform the remediation (as confirmed by two unaffiliated experts). He sent over a new estimate for $6,200 and said they could perform the remediation the following week. Again, in order to come to this assessment, they had removed some ceiling panels, but had NOT performed remediation -- there was no treatment, removal/disposal of the impacted materials, air cleaners, dehumidifiers, etc. Due to the cost doubling in price, I decided to go with a different company that had promised to do the entire job for less than $4,000. (In fact, they ended up doing it for less than even Ethan's initial estimate.) As a single woman home owner that looks young, getting ripped off when it comes to home repairs is not new. However, Ethan's conduct was unprofessional and abusive. He spent days gaslighting me, arguing with me, and attempting to manipulate me, saying whatever he could to try to convince me that I owed him $3,000. Again, the initial scope of work was not performed -- removing the panels to assess the work to be done entailed what was essentially a handyman's job. He then tried to claim that the initial scope of work did not include the treatment and ONLY entailed removing the panels, which was a blatant lie. His arguments were also contradictory and self-incriminating in their contradictions, but it was clear he would have said anything to try to bully me into paying him for work that was not performed. After I cc'd my lawyer on the e-mail, he finally wrote back telling me to keep my money as I "clearly need it more" than he does, before telling me that the work performed by the other company was sub-par. Let's be honest -- I am doing home repairs before selling my old house and have already gotten a new place.... OBVIOUSLY I need the money more than he does. What a toxic jerk.
