After a thorough research and multiple fingers pointing to The L Salon for something fun and funky, I decided to give it a try. I was also looking for something for YESTERDAY so my favorite part is I didn't have to wait weeeeeeeeeeeks to get in for a haircut appointment. I was able to easily book online and come by within a few days. The L Salon instantly has the coolest vibes with a team you can tell works closely together and feels like a family. I booked my appointment with Mikayla since Kayla didn't have any availability for the day I wanted to come in on. And I'm SOOOOO glad I did. Mikayla was so bubbly, kind, understanding and listening when it came to my description, wants and photo references. As she cut me she made sure to check in even though I told her I fully trusted her and she had free rein basically. Shes so creative and really understood the assignment. She also recommended some products that I ended up going home with. Can't wait to come back for balayage. I did get to also meet Kayla and she seems pretty incredible too. When I finally had my turn it was a pleasant experience. I sat next to the owner and we chitchatted and I met a fellow patron who has been coming here for years. She said it is the only place she'll come for her gel nails as they are experts. She convinced me to get my first try at a gel polish and I loved it. There is ample parking outside, the salon is quite large so can take a decent group and there is little dog running around inside. It makes for a fun time but they need to really button up on a few of the issues which just knocked this place down completely.

The young gal provided me with a warm water bath for my right hand while she buffed my left and vice versa. My natural nails looked a wee bit better afterwards- but honestly though, it wasn't all that. And when she started 'cutting', she barely cut. In fact, what she removed was my extra cuticle skin with the point of her trimmer only. $20 was just way too much money for a "manicure"
