Firs time coming to this place, but 2nd time floating. The receptionist lady was really nice and pleasant. When my friend and I went in for our float appointment, she gave us some paperwork to fill out and we watched a video on some tablets they provided. When it came time to do the float, she walked us to the back and gave us the rundown on what to do and how things worked with these pods. pretty standard stuff. The floating in the pod experience was better then the one I had done in a float room/chamber. I like the ability to listen to peaceful music (or not) and to have a colored light on (or not) during my float. The shower area before the float was ok. Water pressure wasn't that great and I can already tell the shower AFTER the float would just be adequate. The show floor area was kinda dirty probably due to the previous persons sandals or something. Also there was some hair at the bottom of the float tank before I went it. I wasn't too bothered with it though. I didn't want that to ruin my float experience. The reason why it's not a 5 star is because of the way the pod is set up to let you know that your time is almost up. I had no light on and the music on...she warned us before our float that thing would turn on (opposite of whatever you have running) when there are 5 mins left. Then in 2 mins, the filters would turn on. Well...being in a relaxed and peaceful state..the music cut off and the light turn on in a snap! It was pretty jarring even though I knew it would be coming like that. It would be nice to the customers to gradually cut off the music and gradually turn on the lights. When they both turned off/on at the 5 min mark, it did it with a loud CLICK! hahaha. I kinda got startled. Once I found my bearings and started to get out, the filter started running. The other part of the missing star is the towel at the end of your 2nd shower. OMG...it actually hurt my skin to use that towel. I suggest bringing your own if you go here. Yes, that bad. When you walk out of the pod and you 2nd shower, you are kinda feeling a little light headed and have to acclimate back to the normal world. This was kinda hard when you walk back out to the reception area and the light is shinning through the front walls and doors. They should maybe put all the shades down and offer some water and seat before we depart. Just to get kinda back into the spin of things. I've experienced this at a different float place and really liked it. It did not happen here but this business is fairly new...I'm sure they eventually work out the kinks. Other than that, this was a pretty nice and decent place located in a little strip mall area with plenty of parking spaces. If you're in the area and wanted to try floating in a pod, give them a try. Just remember to bring your own towel and come in 10 min before your float time. Check groupon or online for coupons as well. read more

Decided to step outside of my box and try something new. Booked a float at Float Therapy Spa. I knew nothing about floating and I was not sure what to expect. I was nervous at first. When I first arrived, I watched a video that gives you an idea of what to expect and the benefits of floating. After you complete the wavier and video, the staff will show you to your room and how to use the equipment. Each room has its own shower and float pod. You shower before you get in the pod and after. I started off with the lights on and the pod lid partially open. As I became more comfortable I turned the lights off and just focused on breathing. By the time I was able to fully relax, it was over. I felt completely relaxed as if I had just had an hour long massage. I slept better that night than I have in a long time. I was calmer and less stressed for the next few days. I tend to be an anxious person and could not believe how "not" anxious I was for the next couple of days. I urge you to try a float at Float Therapy Spa. There are Groupons and Yelp discounts available so you do not have to make a huge investment to try. Where do I even begin? My bf suggested to experience a sensory deprivation pod because he's read a lot about the benefits and has always wanted to do it. So I thought to myself, 'why not?!' I bought us 2 one hour sessions, and at first, I was skeptical. I felt really nervous because I am claustrophobic, but I called in ahead to make an appointment and clarified that people who ARE claustrophobic DO NOT experience any discomfort. Skipping a to the day of the float therapy session: Service was superb. Everything was sanitary, and it is required that you come 15 minutes prior to your float session, to fill out a waiver and watch a quick video about the float therapy. Afterwards, we were shown the room with the pod and was thoroughly instructed on how to work everything and what to do before, during, and after. My first experience in the pod was crazy. The good kind of crazy! I felt so calm and I finally realized that it was my ME TIME. I came out with a very calm and relaxed state. Everything was just pure light and tranquil. The owners are amazing, knowledgeable and accommodating. I have now floated twice and the second time was even better than the first. Love the quiet, personal time to just relax. I couldn't imagine that I would float so easily but it really is an amazing experience. I am claustrophobic so I left the pod open slightly and it is wonderful. It's been awhile, since my last session and I forgot how amazing this treatment float spa is! I was totally relaxed and 24 hours later, still chilled... And my background is hyper tension and go, go and go again and this will be my new RX. Lol. Maria is super professional and just an empowering person. This is my favorite place for self-care. The float therapy and the infrared sauna really works to detox and relax my body. I come out from every session fully refreshed and the aches and pains are gone. I feel people should put people not money first. I'm not sure about floating in a tank with a giant hair ball in it, all was well until the filter didn't do it's job which made me wonder about the water cleanliness. I had floated Before with no issues. I bought a monthly membership $99 a month, unbeknownst to me that it is a 3 month commitment, I told Maria I wanted to continue to use the sauna and if I could buy sessions as I no longer wanted to float and she told me, she would not allow me to cancel the membership, the fee will continue to pull from the debit account. She's busy due to Covid-19 and she knows that gyms are closed, thus the attitude If I have a customer that had a terrible experience and asked to cancel why would you want that customer, clearly I will not just give you $200 and not use it, you will continue to see me and it is just awkward. I hope she reads this snd apparently she does, I got one more session left but I hope she cancels the contract and if she does I will gladly not set foot in her business again, if she doesn't, the awkwardness will continue. I'm not sure where to start. I have a pretty stressful life, demanding job, 14-16 hour days, difficult ex wife, long commutes up and down the 405 and 5 freeways. I had seen some ads on FB about floating, so I thought I'd like to give it a try. Maria was great at explaining the process and talked with me afterwards. During my first float it took my a few minutes to get used to the pod. I'm glad I booked an hour because once I settled in I felt great. I felt really calm and relaxed and had a bit of the out of body sensation that I usually only get before sleep or during deep meditation. My skin felt very smooth in the water and I think it helped clear up my skin. While floating my lower back popped without twisting or moving my back. Afterwards is where I felt the best. I was so relaxed, my face was softer, my voice was quieter and calm, my body was relaxed and I felt clear in the head as if someone hit a reset button in my head. I slept great for the next several days. I feel more human and centered after my first float and can't wait to try it again. read more

Price: I surprised my husband by bringing him here for our 4th year anniversary. I went on Groupon and saw the deal for 2 x 60 minute floats for $59. You can book 2 float sessions at the same time. So, my husband and I were floating in 2 different pods in 2 different rooms at the same time. Shopping around, I find that this was the best deal. Why float? I had always been curious about float therapy and there was only one way to find out. Side note - I am a huge fan of spas. I usually get deep tissue or swedish massages once every few months and more often when my back hurts or during times of stress. Therefore, I was a little hesitant about floating since no one would be actually touching you and caressing your muscles. However, my curiosity got the best of me. I did a little googling and youtubing beforehand and learned that the purpose of floating is to deprive you of any senses - kind of like mediating in water. It's suppose to help with chronic health issues (muscle ache, arthritis, etc). My experience: When I entered, a lovely women greeted us and handed us a touch pad to fill out a waiver and to watch an introduction video. After that, we were guided into the private rooms where the pods were. Although the ambience was not as fancy as those high end spa places, the rooms/pods were very clean and well kept. There was music and soft colored lighting inside the pod, which you can control at your fingertips. You can keep the music/light on but I chose to turn it all off. I wanted to know how it felt to be deprived of all my senses. Did it work? Yes, at one point for about a minute or two my mind went numb and I kind of got scared. Obviously, it was my first experience and I wasn't used to it. I was being a little paranoid in the darkness. But this was all in my head. I tried to play around bit while i was in there. I tried to purposely sink myself but I would bounce back up. Frankly, it was quite fun and interesting. My husband said he pretended that he was in a spaceship in space. Your imagination runs wild in there. Worth it?: Yes, I would definitely come back, but I would be a little more wise about the booking time for next session. For this float therapy, I booked in the morning after my husband's 24 hour shift, thinking that maybe he would enjoy it more after a long and tiring day. But for me, I had just woken up that morning so it was harder for me to relax since I was already well-rested. Definitely consider booking after a long tiring day - after work, gym, study session, etc. My husband stated that his muscle ache went away after floating. Overall, I really enjoyed it and I feel that everyone should give floating a try at least once in their lifetime. The only dislike I didn't like about my experience was that the music inside the pod was a little loud. I like to have it on rather than off, but I wish I could have the option to lower the volume down. read more
