I had one of the best restorative, deep tissue massages of my life!! Melissa was such an expert masseuse - very intuitive. She listened to exactly what was bothering me and found the exact area of my pain/problem. I will definitely be going back to Float. Again and again and again! read more

My first massage in a year! Erin was amazing and everyone at Float was friendly and made me safe and comfortable. Highly recommend.

I've visited a couple of times this year after recently moving to the area. I came for the first time in April with a friend for a Spa day and it was heavenly! So much so that I have continued to visit every few months. I've seen Elisa for The Works and The Luxe facial and she is amazing! Elisa is kind and genuinely cares about your skin. She graciously answered all of a my questions during the facial, all while maintaining a calm and relaxing experience. read more

My friend and I went at the spur of the moment for her birthday mid week. We went early and were greeted warmly and shown to the upstairs waiting area, which was cozy and had hot tea and a fireplace to sit in front of. Tanya was my masseuse and she was the best - I prefer medium pressure and she was spot on! She focused on my shoulders, neck and head and I felt so relaxed after. I chose the Orange Blossom scent and it was perfect for me. Run don't walk to book Tanya for your ultimate stress releasing day! read more

My daughter and I got a 80 minute massage and a 50 minute Luxe facial, respectively, and both enjoyed our experiences. My facial was done by Tatiana and she explained the steps beforehand. Absolutely loved the facial -- it was one of the best facials I've had. I would recommend visiting this spa and asking for Tatiana. read more

I had the worst facial of my life here - and the most expensive. I'd had a decent experience here a year ago getting a massage and was eager to return but I am frankly insulted that I paid $140 plus tip for someone to talk at me for 50 minutes (in spite of requesting a quiet experience on the intake form) while she haphazardly applied different lotions to my face. The person did not appear to be trained in aesthetics or massage and as a result I got none of the benefits of a facial - relaxation, gentle massage, extractions, etc. She just kept applying goop and then roughly wiping it off all while talking my ear off. I got no gentle massage on my face, chest, or neck. She applied lotion to my arms and hands briefly, but it was application, not massage. I was shocked at how bad it was, to be honest. I don't want to get anyone in trouble, and she was friendly, but at the same time, a person like this should not be permitted to give spa services. She also gave a facial to someone else in our group after me and did the same thing - talked the whole time even though they asked for silence, did not give any massage, etc. It's just not fair to charge people for such a terrible experience. read more

I love Float. I have had several massages at this location and the therapists are the best. This is a first class massage. I highly recommend Float. read more

I think he was trying to make appointments as soon as we got there. He would ask to use my phone to do some research. Sneaky, sneaky man. This was my first venture into the World of Massage, and it was delightful, luxurious, and completely indulgent! The receptionist was absolutely wonderful. So sweet and accommodating. The Locker Room was really great and had everything I needed. The robe was so soft but quite huge on me. The Sky Room was warm, inviting, and calming. The couples message itself was some of the best 80 minutes I have ever had. It was nice to know that my boyfriend was in the same room, that we were enjoying this together. I'm very happy that this was where my first massage was. Although, Float has set the bar pretty high, I'd say. I know that next time we're in Santa Barbara, we'd be happy to go back. read more

Elisa provided the best facial I've ever had, and I've had dozens and dozens. She evaluated my skin and then provided appropriate and effective procedures with the most gentle touch. My skin looks amazing! At the end, she gave me practical advice as to best care for my sensitive skin. read more

My family purchased gift certificates for FLOAT for me for Christmas. Fantastic gift! I went in twice in the past month for an 80 minute CBD massage with Erin. So great and so relaxing. Highly recommend FLOAT!!! read more

Wonderful first time spa experience. My husband booked us a couples package at the last minute and was accommodated for massages and facials on a Saturday morning. Awesome!!! was the first thing that came to mind when I was done with my massage and facial. I felt so relaxed and renewed after my treatments. My husband was amazed by his facial and enjoyed the knowledge of his massage therapist. Everything from check in to the treatments were amazing and professional. Very clean facility, loved that they have amenities to shower and freshen up in the locker room. Everyone was helpful and friendly. I apologize as I was so mellowed out by the massage and facial I couldn't tell you who our massage therapists or esthetician was but all 3 ladies including the receptionist/front desk made this anniversary gift a very memorable one. Thank you all!! read more

It really is that good. I went in this afternoon for a facial (much needed) and brow shaping (ditto). After being burned once on eyebrow waxing (who doesn't have one of these stories), I am a little cautious about who touches the hair on my orbital bone. Within a few minutes of meeting my aesthetician, Heidi, all of my worries dissipated. She is professional, highly competent, efficient, and a delight! Very knowledgeable as well. Before starting the brows, she asked what I had in mind and even showed me what she was thinking before she got started. Well, I am totally satisfied. She did great work. Then I followed that up with a facial which was similarly superb. I couldn't believe how good my skin looked after! I'd never had a chemical peel before and I am floored by the results. I am afraid, however, that I may need to add facials to the list of monthly maintenance now -- since I was so pleased with my skin. Heidi gave me lots of tips on my home skincare routine as well. Finally, the actual spa itself is beautiful -- spare, clean, but with beautiful colors (on the walls), accessories, and so on. They also had water, tea, and dried fruit + mixed nuts. A very welcome addition to the experience. read more

I loved this place!! This nicest people and the loveliest setting. Small and unique atmosphere. One of the best massages I've had.

I was gifted a massage here and it was a great experience, my only suggestion would be to have a more organized front desk because I needed to call several times to get someone to call me back for booking. Cute lounge area! Nothing grand but a nice getaway. read more

I came here with my bridesmaids for a spa day, and it was perfect! They let you sample the lotions you would like to use in your massage so your experience is the way you want it. They also have you fill out a short form before your service so you can request up front if you're a talker, short convo or silence type. The staff was very friendly and we couldn't have asked for a better spa day bachelorette experience. read more

Float Luxury Spa - Spa day with my bridesmaids was perfect! - Day Spas Near Me - Santa Barbara, California

I had Derrick (hope I spelled your name correctly) for a deep tissue massage and my sister had Rochelle for a facial. Both were wonderful and we will definitely return when we revisit Santa Barbara. The service was perfection, the rooms clean, and the ambiance was charming. Wish I could give 6 stars. read more

I've been all over the world and have had massages in many cities. This was BY FAR the best massage I have ever had! David was awesome! The staff were very professional and took Covid seriously. The waiting room prior to the massage was very calming with some tea and a nice fire going. Sometimes the lotions the massager uses are thicker and don't flow over the body that well. Theirs was excellent. If I could get a job marketing this place I would. DO. NOT. MISS. IT. Loved it! read more

My husband and I got a couples massage here. It was wonderful. I highly recommend this place.

Found the great reviews on Yelp and booked a signature facial for my wife and a signature massage for me. On arrival met with a smile by receptionist ( Heidi i think)...she explained the process, provided the short form for completion and then escorted us to the incredibly clean changing rooms The entire interior is modern, sleek but tranquil and the waiting room is perfect Our therapists were Karen ( facial) and Rachel ( massage).....my wife really enjoyed her facial and my massage was exactly as requested we didn't really have time to relax in the outside space but it was also very well designed and will be experienced on our next visit....in fact today i spoke to the owner, Natalie, and booked a spa party for my wife's birthday next month......Float really is a gem and one not to be missed.....an easy 5 star review read more

Knowing we were going to be absolutely sore post-paragliding, we opted for Float as our savior - and this they lived up to. We were all so appreciative of being able to not just choose our product, but also music (choices between classical, yoga, new age, etc) and level of talking, (as in, I just want to Float - don't talk to me) - brilliant. read more

This is my go-to place when I want a facial. I've had them from several aestheticians at Float and they are all amazing. That speaks volumes for the products Float uses and the talent they hire. There is no judging here, no stuffiness, no pomp and circumstance. Yet it is a serene and special place. In the heart of downtown SB where the hustle and bustle outside is blocked by Clouds and Feathers. Love this place! read more

A truly wonderful experience. Lovely surroundings, very professional friendly staff and, of course, the actual services were excellent.

What an enjoyable time we had at Float. We sat by the fire before our massages, and in the courtyard after, drinking champagne. David gave me probably the best massage of all time. Such a relaxing day, thank you Float! read more

Both myself and daughter-in-law thoroughly enjoyed our services. I had the Float Luxury 80 minute facial by Tatiana. Tatiana is so knowledgeable, very educated and experienced. My daughter-in-law had the 80 minute massage by Erin. She said it was excellent. The receptionist was very welcoming and informative regarding COVID protocols. Would highly recommend Float Luxury Spa. read more

Loved my Collagen Boost facial with Satara! Will come again when I visit. Lovely girls weekend stop.

Had a facial about 4 days ago and the facilist scarred my face when she did he extractions. Old equipment and not a place to go for facial.

My husband booked me a much needed and over due massage. I have an 8 month old baby and all I wanted during my pregnancy was a massage but covid didn't allow! Thank you for a lovely experience . read more

Amazing. Expert masseuses who really understand physiology and how to unknot all those muscles.

I found a long lost gift card to Float, so decided to take the day off for my birthday and use it. I went in for a 50 minute "Fire and Ice" facial and WOW! Amazingly relaxing, effective and my skin was absolutely glowing afterwards. I even received multiple comments from people at work the next day about the glowi-ness of my skin. Float is the perfect blend of laid-back, inviting warmth and cool, hip elegance - the epitome of Santa Barbara. Thank you FLOAT, we are so lucky to have a gem like you in town. read more

It is wonderful to have this delightful spa in downtown Santa Barbara. The atmosphere and rooms are lovely, as is the staff. I left feeling like I was 'float'ing! read more

A little spa that blows the competition away.. it's a small little spa on a side street off State. It's right across the street from a parking lot and a valet parking lot is right next store so parking is never a issue. The spa itself is a little small however I have never received a bad massage or facial here. Yes it's a little pricey but what spa isn't. All of their technicians are wonderful. I have had both a prenatal and deep tissue massage, as well as a facial.. always leave feeling refreshed and relaxed! read more

I had one of the best massages ever with masseuse Rachel. She was very professional and took her time getting to those high tension areas. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and look forward to visiting again when we visit Santa Barbara. Clean and calming. Kudos to Rachel. read more

Had one of the absolute best massages by Tawnya yesterday! Slept like a baby last night because she worked out all the many kinks in my shoulders and back and my hips. Too much time at a computer = pain. Tawnya was incredible at working through all the stiff muscles; she has an amazing technique that is soothing and healing. I've been to this spa several times over the years, it is a lovely experience! (the backyard garden waiting area is perfect for these Covid times). read more

Just had a great massage at Float! Following covid protocols they did a great job. Highly recommend them.

While my friends loved their messages I hated mine, my massage with Luke was one of the worst and most awkward I've ever had.

As my first time pregnant I was in much need of a relaxing massage. I live in Ventura and booked treatments with my girlfriends visiting from out of town. I had heard great things about Float and it was one of the only spas that could accommodate three treatments at the same time. One of my friends driving up from LA was running a little late and needed to quickly breastfeed before our appointments. We were running about 10 mins late and called to let them know. When we arrived we changed quickly but spent about five minutes shuffling our items to find lockers with doors that locked properly. My prenatal massage was alright but the whole experience felt rushed and the pressure was a little weak (after I had instructed the masseuse that I liked a firm touch). I was the first one to finish and noticed that my massage had ended right on time even though we had arrived a few minutes late. Then I reviewed their spa guidelines (since I had not been the one who booked the reservation) and saw that arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, so the next guest will not be delayed. I then saw my masseuse walk out of the spa in street clothes, so that led me to believe I was her last appointment of the day. I then waited 10-15 minutes for my other friends to finish up their treatments. I understand that their spa policies are in place to give all of their clients that best treatment experience, but I feel that I did not receive the same treatment as my friends. I'm glad my friends didn't experience the rushed treatment that I experienced (they both loved their treatments), but I think their spa policies should be universal and upfront. Not once during my interaction with the reception or masseuse did they mention that my 50 minute treatment time would be cut short. read more

I'm grateful for my pregnancy massage with Rikk. The pressure was perfect and very relaxing, and I appreciate how I was able to select my own preferred lotion/scent. The team was kind and helpful and made me feel welcome. read more

This place is a piece of heaven in the middle of the city. When I walked in I was greeted warmly by the receptionist. I filled out a sheet with preferences such as scents, how talkative you want to be and areas of pain. All the scents are amazing by the way. They started me off with snacks, spa water and tea while I relaxed in a comfortable room with a fire place and beautiful Chandelier. My massage therapist was so incredibly nice and very knowledgeable. I got a body scrub, deep tissue massage and foot treatment. All were great! They told me I could hangout as long as I wanted in the garden or the relaxing snack area. The prices of all the treatments were very reasonable and much cheap than my terrible massage I had at the DoubleTree down the street. Overall, I had a great day here and would recommend this place to anyone. read more
