Simply put, this place is great. I visited Float Horizen in September and it was my first time trying float therapy. The staff was so nice and made me feel comfortable. It took a minute to get used to floating in the water but once I did it was so peaceful and relaxing. It was so relaxing that I fell asleep and only woke up when the sound to announce the end of my session went off. I had a therapeutic massage the same day and that was really nice as well. I'll definitely be back.

I've been here twice now - first time I found a discount on Facebook and went on a whim; the second time I surprised my husband with his first float for our anniversary. I was hesitant to go at first because I don't even like to take a bath and I couldn't imagine getting in water that multiple strangers have laid in (ewwww). Also, I imaged this would be a very claustrophobic experience. Thankfully, my preconceived notions were wrong! The water in the tanks go through some kind of filtration process and the rooms were exceptionally clean. There are different room types (wave rooms vs. dream pods). Both visits I have been in the wave rooms and with the clear door leading into the tank, I didn't feel claustrophobic at all. You have options which enable you to tailor the float experience to your own preferences: wave room vs. dream pod; light inside the tank can be on or off; you could leave the door/pod open or closed; you can use a ring to support your head while floating or choose to float without. The first time floating can feel awkward because you don't know what to expect, but I think that's pretty normal and (from what I'm told) gets better with each visit. I did notice my second visit was more enjoyable than the first. You must shower before and after - its the rule. My tips: 1. Insert your earplugs before your even shower and ask for a second pair or earplugs just in case you mess them up like I did. 2. Hang a dry washcloth inside the tank in case you need to wipe your face. 3. Bring a little bag with you for any special toiletries you may need (sulfate-free shampoo, hairbrush, deodorant, face moisturizer). 4. The biggest tip for me -- don't freak out in the tank worrying that you won't hear the music at the end of your time --YOU WILL HEAR THE MUSIC, GET OUT OF YOUR HEAD ABOUT IT! I had a hard time with this during both visits and kept having to remind myself to breathe and not think about how much time was remaining and what if I miss the music cue that the float has ended. The staff are welcoming and friendly. There is tea to enjoy before/after your float. There are a couple different sitting areas to relax and draw or read books after your float. They offer memberships to save you money if you want to go on a regular basis. They also sell gift certificates. There is a free parking lot behind the building.

Dope spot! Very relaxing and calming atmosphere. I was unaware that I need to shower, wash my hair, and get naked but it was all worth it lol. I skipped the research. The float pool was so cool! I got to choose what color light I wanted the session to be or you can choose no light at all. My skin was silky smooth as I was twirling around, releasing my mind to focus on floating and breathing. Awesome experience with great added amenities including bath towel/wash cloth, robe, waterproof earplugs, makeup remover wipes and even herbal tea!

Very welcoming lobby. Put me at ease the moment I walked in.

I was given a gift certificate to float Horizen by my lovely wife. I've floated before so I had some expectations of what was to come. Floating is a sort of therapy where you float in a tank completely void of all senses. The water is mixed with Epsom salts creating buoyancy. The earplugs block out all audible noise once you pull the door closed on the pod it is completely dark you can't even tell if your eyes are opened or closed. The water is about 90° so you can't even feel it. The lobby was crisp and clean with a very welcoming earthy kind of vibe. The sounds of windchimes in the background were calming and inviting. Zane greeted me as I walked in and was a pleasure to work with. He had my flotation tank set up in about five minutes. Once I showered, put in my earplugs and got in my pod and closed the pod door it wasn't long before I was totally relaxed focused on the sound of my breathing and beating heart. Time was irrelevant, I had no clue. All I knew was I was floating and I was loving it. The experience was astounding I felt amazing when I was done UNTIL! Yeah you had to wait for this one. The pods recycle the water after every float and apparently the water level in my pod was a bit low, maybe due to some evaporation the Easter break, but once that pod started recirculating the water it created the most annoying sound ever and it totally ruined my relaxation buzz. It continued through my "rinse off" shower and was so loud that I closed the door on the pod but it did minimal good. Total buzz kill sorry. I'm sure it doesn't happen often and hopefully it won't happen again because seriously it was annoying. I let Zane know and he was very apologetic, but really by that time there was really nothing he could do. I will float again just not sure if it will be at this location. If you're curious I highly recommend the experience. The health benefits are numerous.

It was our first time floating and it was a great experience! Very relaxing because of the sensory deprivation floating gives...facility is new in Nashville so it was very clean and the Wave Rooms are spacious.. haven't been to the Dream room, I think those are the pod rooms. Just don't get the water in your eyes and lips. The salt content is so high it felt like hell for a few minutes..other than that I recommend everyone to try it atleast once!

    Amazing staff and experience!
