I'll be honest... I didn't expect to be this impressed. My experience is mainly with the Westside location, Flix Brewhouse El Paso - West, and it completely changed how I see this place. I had first heard about them through a menu tasting on the Eastside, but after visiting multiple locations, the Westside is where I've spent the most time--and where this experience really stood out. You can tell they've put a lot of effort into rebuilding after taking over the former Alamo locations. But what really surprised me was the food quality. This is not typical movie theater food. The pizza dough is made fresh daily, sauces are scratch-made, and the menu feels like an actual restaurant, not just concessions. Even their beers are award-winning, and it's clear they care about quality and consistency. I ended up hosting my son's birthday here for about 14 people, and honestly, it was one of the easiest group outings I've done. We ordered everything from our seats, the kids shared refillable popcorn, and everyone had great food the entire time while watching the movie. No lines, no waiting, no juggling trays, and no missing parts of the film. They also have a private room we used for cake, plus games like foosball, which made it really easy to manage a group. Pricing was another surprise. Tickets here were actually cheaper than comparable theaters, even though it may not look like it at first because fees are shown upfront. When I compared the full experience--tickets plus food--it ended up being a better overall value than going somewhere else and just buying snacks. They also honored old Alamo gift cards, which was a really nice touch. As for the 18% service charge, after seeing how hard the servers work, it makes sense. They are constantly moving up and down stairs in a dark theater delivering food so you don't have to leave your seat. That level of service is part of the experience. Overall, between the food quality, service, and convenience, this has easily become one of my go-to spots. Also want to recognize Melissa, the GM, and her team. After this movie theater opened, it took me a while before I first saw a movie here. I like this one as you can order food and drinks from your theater seat. The seats are pretty nice since the theater is relatively new. They offer a lot of drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, breakfast meals, sandwiches, giant size pretzels, as well as popcorn. We go to FLIX pretty often. The food is good and the service is great. If you go to a busy showing, things might not be as efficient as a less busy movie, but thats okay. The service makes up for it; if you push the little button, the server assisting you will provide great customer service even if it's To correct an issue. There are people complaining about costs etc.; yes, you pay a premium for ordering food/drinks, but you don't have to. FLIX is very transparent about pricing, educate yourself before you go. read more

Went to the opening night of the Flix that replaced Alamo on Pelicano. Firstly the seat I booked online literally didn't exist lol! Got that fixed with the help of one of the managers and got nice seats with our friends. It took a bit so missed the start of the movie :-/. Ordered the loaded fries and they were lukewarm, my aperol drink and the rest of the food took half an hour, we started wondering if they forgot about us... Hubby liked his fish and chips but said the beer tasted like water! I miss Alamo, their fun commercials & their super delicious cauliflower bites, sigh! read more

Nice theaters. Popcorn is always excellent! Free refills are great BUT.... there is no "to go" option for uneaten portions. Maybe provide something better than a pizza box. Would love a coke icee too. The pretzels are also yummy but a bit pricey. Cheese curds are also good. Haven't tried other foods or the brews. Planning to in the future though. read more

This is the best theater in town. The recliner seats are very comfortable. Delicious food and alcohol. The popcorn is the best. The best part is they come and serve you while you're watching the movie. No need to have to wait in line nor get up in the middle of the movie like most other theaters. Another great experience at Flix Brewhouse! We were able to get perfect seats for Avatar even though we purchased the day of the showing we wanted to see. You should arrive a little early if you plan to organize your food and drink order before the movie starts. This time was flawless - the server was knowledgeable and efficient - and most of all didn't interrupt the movie experience. My eating companion and I enjoyed the nachos, pretzel, hamburger, and margarita pizza. And it was ALL really good! We did not order alcoholic beverages this time (but I overheard a server explaining how to get the best bang for your buck on alcoholic beverages). Seriously, helping them to save money! We ordered popcorn, nachos and a beer, Pepsi and a water. Everything came out except the water and Pepsi. We asked about it 3 times and we were ignored. I finally asked for a manager on the app and she came to give us our drinks like well over 45 minutes after the movie started. The drinks were watered down like the ice had already melted. It was obvious they were sitting somewhere for a while. Then we asked for a box and our server Carlos continued to ignore us. He never came back only to leave the ticket He never brought it. Then the audacity to add 20% gratuity even after very mediocre service. We love coming to the movies but this experience made us feel like we should have stayed home and saved our money. First time I visited The Alamo on North Mesa, I kept hearing about how it barely compares to Flix Brewhouse. Apropos, I embarked on a 20 mile fantastic voyage from my house to this place and lemme tell ya....it was SO worth the trip! Right off the bat, the very first difference you notice between the two places is Flix has actual reclining seats. Crazy, right?! Who knew customers wanted to watch flicks and dine in comfort? Quite obviously, the selling point for movie theatres like these is the menu. I gotta give it up to modern day theatres for seriously stepping up their game. With all the competition out there, it's like each one is implementing those few things that keeps folks coming back for years. Take Flix here.. The biggest commodity this place has going for it is the service and how it's executed. Let's just say...it is MILES ahead of Alamo's standards. First, there's the way you order food. It starts off similar with the whole writing your order on a piece of paper to maintain silence during the movie and all that. But there are a couple things Flix does way better than their competitor that I noticed immediately. 1.) The table lighting is better (see, I knew there was a better way to accomplish the whole low-lighting in a dark theatre thing). 2.) Each seat has its own call button. That's right. You get your own call button which lights up when you press it. That makes a helluva lot more sense than shoving a piece of paper in a slot and hoping the server somehow sees this in pitch darkness like Alamo does. Sorry if it sounds like I'm talking smack about Alamo. I still adore the place. It's just that Flix is way better. Did you know there's a sliding table for each and every seat in the theatre? Yup! No awkward sharing table space with your neighbor in THIS movie theatre. Here...you'll feel like a passenger sitting in first class on an airplane. Btw, tried the popcorn and double cheeseburger today. Popcorn was buttery as heaven, though no better or worse than Cinemark 20. Cheeseburger was as innocuous as it was forgettable. Eh....'least it wasn't terrible. I may try the buffalo wings next time around. I'd like to take this time to issue a very important caveat to you all: there's only one set of restrooms in the entire theatre; on the 1 thru 4 side of the theatre. Now, this makes SOME sense when you consider there are only 9 screens total in Flix. But it's a little annoying if you happen to have the bladder of an infant like I do and end up leaving mid-movie every time. I'm sure many of you have read about the automatic 18% gratuity included with your check. And honestly....I have almost no problem with this and I'll tell ya why. Since doing this speeds up the tab closeout process and it all goes to the very hard working service staff anyway, I can't see any good reason to opt out of this UNLESS....you wish to leave them more than 18%. All things considered, I'm giving Flix a perfect 5 tubs of buttery popcorn out of 5. read more

It is wonderful I have a high end movie theater only two miles from home. They have lots of parking that is easy to get in and out of. If you don't eat at Flix, there are many food establishments right outside the door in West Town Shopping Plaza. The seat legs come up all the way and are the best so far in El Paso. The craft brewery here has a very nice selection and the cocktails are good. They have great movie specials and events so check it out! read more

I....LOVE THIS PLACE!!! So heads up - it can for sure get expensive - BUT! When I went I had a whole bunch of coupons haha. I bought 2 tickets for the price of 1. I ordered popcorn, cookies, and a 10' pizza of my choice for $16 (tax & tip included)...AND I also got a free beer. The movie was the worst part of the entire experience. (AD ASTRA...Wait for TV) Anyway! When you first walk in you are greeted by the giant bar. This is the perfect combination of a brewhouse + movie theater. The theaters are off to the right and left. When you enter the theater it's absolutely magical. Yes. Magical. HUGE black recliner couches. Sooo much space. Your own personal desk so you're not awkwardly sharing with someone else. Guys...guyyyyyssss...do yourself a favor and experience Flix Brewhouse. OH OH OH! If you want to save money then go on a Wednesday! I believe tickets are $5.25 or $5.75...it's a really good deal! Bartenders are standing around twiddling their thumbs doing absolutely nothing while someone like me who is new to this place is not only overwhelmed and overstimulated but not welcomed nor greeted. I'm convinced one of the young ladies that was working the ticket counter (girl with ponytail, glasses, and party hat) was heavily intoxicated because of how loud she was, stumbling behind the bar, slamming open doors and slurring her words. Large comfortable reclining seats with a full food menu and in-house craft beers while watching my favorite movie! I'm in heaven. In addition to the concept, the food and brews were excellent! I tried several of their in-house brews and all were awesome! I then had the Buffalo Mac and Cheese and it was phenomenal! I will definitely be back multiple times while I'm here. Good food, great chairs, but an automatic 18% tip is a bit much. I tip well, but I hate that automatic tip before I even get service. They also charge extra for sauces and don't have any decent vegetarian or vegan options. I'm neither but just trying to eat healthier, yet everything seems to either be fried or have bacon on it. You don't need to change the whole menu, but it would be really considerate to look out for clients with different diets. read more

Absolutely putrid service. Today Monday March 24, I went to watch Interstellar at 6:00 pm. We enjoyed the movie but our server was terrible. We were served by a lady with with bright red hair. We had ordered onion rings and two waters. It took about 20-25 min to get ONE cup of water, another 10 to get the second cup of water and another 10 for the onion rings. 40-50 min wait for onion rings in incredible 30 minutes for a cup of water is absurd. We had then ordered ketchup from her and she took another 10 min to bring us a single packet of ketchup. We asked for two more and we waited 10 min before having to press the button to ask her again for the ketchup. We waited and still no ketchup. I had to leave the auditorium to go fing another person to get me two packets of ketchup. It wasn't until after the movie that I noticed that there was a small room literally in front of the the auditorium across the hall where they had a whole stack of ketchup. It's incomprehensible to me how I had to wait soo long for something that's precisely 20 steps away. That 18% gratuity is completely undeserved. read more

I came with my family to watch IT 2 during their opening week. The seats are WAY better than Alamo! They fully recline and the tray tables move so you can pull them towards you or push them away. I also love the call button because on more than one occasion I've needed a server's attention at Alamo and unfortunately they couldn't see my order card raised. I loved that they had a free fun photo booth with IT 2 pics you could take and have sent digitally to your phone. I hope this is something that will continue in the future. Let's talk about the 18% gratuity that everyone is up in arms about here. I appreciated that our server informed us upon ordering about the automatic gratuity so it didn't come as a surprise. I was initially put off by it, but I do understand why they do it and overall I'm okay with it as long as they are upfront verbally about it. Not everyone will read or see the signage on the menu or receipt, so that can cause issues. As for the food; we tried the popcorn, 2 different milkshake flavors, pizza, fish & chips, Duke burger, Cookie platter and Mac and Cheese entree. Popcorn, pizza, fries, and milkshakes impressed. Burger was just okay. The Mac and cheese went basically untouched by my daughter who LOVES Mac and cheese but said she wasn't a fan of theirs. I'm a Cookie Monster and was surprised at the large size variation between the three cookies on the platter. One was huge (yay!), one was average size, and one was small. So odd that they were greatly inconsistent. They smelled delicious, but I think they stayed in the oven a tad too long because they were a little hard and crumbly, not fresh and soft like I prefer. We ordered the specialty cocktail they offered for IT (can't recall the catchy name) and it was delicious. I'm only giving them 3.5 stars for now and here's why: -The theater was FREEZING inside! I realize a lot of theaters tend to be on the cold side, but this one was excessively cold and I spent the movie somewhat miserable because of how uncomfortably cold I was. Note to self, bring a blanket or winter coat even when it's triple digits outside. -They didn't allow my 15 year old daughter to order off the kids menu. They said they have a strict policy of only allowing those 12 and under to order kids meals. I don't like this because sometimes you just don't have a large appetite and want a smaller portion of food. -Popcorn was good, but comes in a bag like Cinemark, but doesn't allow refills like Cinemark and Alamo do. The profit margins are so high on popcorn that it wouldn't kill them to follow industry standards and give a complimentary refill on their popcorn which only comes in a large size. -We ordered 4 different entrees and only two were delivered. We were unsure why the other two were missing. The two people in our party who did receive their entrees politely waited for the other two to receive their food before eating, but 20 minutes later a server provided us with a note apologizing that the other two entrees were mistakingly delivered to another table. The note said we wouldn't be charged for them though. I only wish they had informed us earlier of the mistake so the other food that was delivered hadn't gone cold while we were waiting and wondering what happened. I will chalk this one up to opening week kinks that will eventually be worked out and improved upon once servers get trained and more experienced. Overall, I think this place has great potential. I'm hoping most of the issues we experienced were just opening week kinks that will be ironed out by both servers and cooks. Hopefully someone in management reads this and reconsiders the icy temps and silly kids menu and popcorn refill policy. We will be back to give them another try and hopefully I can update my review with a full 5 stars. read more

Went back to try other menu items. The double pep pizza was alright not the greatest. Had to have the cheese curds again cause they are my favorite thing to order. Had the queso and it was good too. It's like a white queso with hatch chilies and a distinctive seasoning that makes it stand out. The warm cookies come 3 to an order and are so warm and soft. Tried a few of their beers but I enjoyed the Luna Rosa best. The real butter on the popcorn is what makes this popcorn stand above the rest. Another good experience here. read more

Ironically, I've been here a handful of times and have never seen a movie here. I've always come by just to grab a beer. Some beers are better than others but overall the beers are solid. The atmosphere is pretty cool. It's definitely an interesting place to people watch. I've only eaten one thing here and that was the tuxedo cake and it's honestly pretty awesome. My girlfriend and I normally go to Cinemark since we have the movie club membership but my nephew was having his 3rd birthday party here so it was our first time here! If you have been to Alamo Drafthouse or any other sit in eating restaurant, it's very similar! When we arrived, we were greeted by my nephew Lincoln's party host! I don't remember her name but it was whoever was doing the Lillebo's party for Sing 2)! She was awesome! She always made sure we had enough to drink and that the party was going smooth! She was definitely hustling! The theatre is very nice and very clean! The pizza was and I have eaten pizza at many places and this one was good...even my picky 4 year old nephew at the whole thing! My other nephew (the birthday boy) and my niece (his sister) looked like they loved everything as well!
