Boy I tell you. What a Find! An actual Diemand in the Rough (pun super intended, but totally over…read moreused, and I don't care) First and foremost, I'm a BBQ reveiwer, this place is traditionally a family turkey farm (pretty sure anyways) and they make the absolute BEST TURKEY AND CHICKEN POT PIES EVER!!!! They also have a bunch of other goodies for sale in their farm store. That being said, BBQ! I very randomly stumbled upon this place while attempting to get lost in the middle of Massachusetts one day. And I stopped in and grabbed a frozen pie to go and heard about this amazing cook out they do every other Monday from like June through August? Maybe September? Gotta check the schedule anyway. So you can go online to their website, click on the Smokehouse Dinners, chose one of their meal plans ( I believe it's Ribs, Chicken, Sausage, .... and one more thing, let me check ... OMG! They changed the Menu!!! Now it's a choice between Ribs, Chicken, BRISKET! OR A TURKEY LEG!?!?! I have To Go BACK NOW!!!) and they come with a cube cut of Awesome homemade corn bread (the ones with the kernels still juicy in the bread!) slice of watermelon, and all you can drink Ice tea and Lemonade, and your choice of 2 sides. Mac and Cheese (good old how grandma use to make it style!) Corn on the cob (oh yes!) I think they had a celery salad and a potato salad maybe? But now they offer roasted butternut squash! I loved my ribs, they weren't as big as I'm use to but they were cooked perfectly. I can tell a lot of love went into the smoking process. My partner had the chicken, it was a 1/2 smoked chicken smoked to perfection as well. So, this place is just a real gem of a place. It's almost like even though you bought a $20 ticket to be there, it feels a hell of a lot more like your friendly neighbors sent you an invitation to their fun backyard BBQ. They had a local string band playing traditional Irish and American tunes. We were all under a canopy tent with picnic tables. We chilled for awhile listening to the music, meeting the locals, watching the sunset over the mountains and all their cows in the fields, just sippin on some cool iced tea and lemonades while they put the finishing touches on the food. I was kinda disappointed they didn't have someone ringing a triangle when the food was ready. And afterwards they had Barts Ice Cream selling small little cups of only 3 of their flavors, I think $4 a cup? It was a very small portion and only 3 flavors, but I guess we were lucky to have even that, It's just one person who has to drag a cart all the way behind the house. You can go inside the farm store and they have some baked goods and some ice cream sandwiches and other yummy things. They brought they're pony or donkey out to say hi to everyone. All their cows came right up to the fence and started eating the piles of corn husks and we got to feed them and pet them too. It was just such a great evening with good people and such a small town welcoming kindness that's getting harder and harder to find now a days. Love the place, love the food, love the people. Awesome!!!

Market Basket has continued that trend with their large 18 inch pizzas where you can get a cheese pizza for $9.99. Of course each topping has an additional cost. They also have hot food ready to serve. This is always worth a look. To avoid the lines call ahead. When you call the store asked for the kitchen. This will save you a lot of time and everything especially pizza will be ready when you arrive. Otherwise expect a 30 or 45 minute wait since it's a well demanded product. They do have a seating area that is comfortable with Wi-Fi. Also, their coffee bar has probably the best donuts anywhere for $.99. You can't go wrong.

We all waited 35+ minutes for a sandwich at Markets kitchen from several inexperienced and extremely overworked staff. Meanwhile, several employees were barely doing anything while reorganizing shelves in the store. I'm not sure who was managing this store, but they need to up their game for both the sake of the patrons and employee retention. I won't return to this location if I can help it.

Barely pushes the four-star. It was fun to snoop and compare it to Kroger, Safeway/Albertsons,…read moreAldi, Trader Joes, and indie world markets. The variety and presentation of foods was very good. The prices, whew. On the high side, but it's tougher now to keep up with what must be a nightmare of price changes. Nonetheless, there was attention paid to stocking a wide variety of foods. You could go to Sam's Club and get broccolini for about a third of the price. Trader Joe's has the same sweet Vidalias for about a third less. You can't find the vegan substitutes at either Sam's or TJ's. There are good fresh fish and mussels/clams/etc. I picked up some "Norwegian" cod (probably Icelandic) that was fresh and stellar. We found exactly what we needed; the prices were a little high but we also felt it unusual to find the variety we did. This has a price and we paid it. It could be less expensive, but then, they'll have high competition from the Aldi's going up across the street soon; perhaps that will temper the prices, but we hope it doesn't temper the variety, which was pretty darn good.

I'd like to say I truly enjoyed the convenience and closeness I had while having my prescriptions…read morerefilled at this location until recently. Mind you I work overnight shifts and travel often for work for health and human services as a paramedic. So the convenience was very much appreciated especially when I drive 45 minutes to and from work. But as of recently I'm not sure why since it took forever to get some explanation why I'm being targeted, granted I've always paid out of pocket because it causes less of a delay on picking up my medications, and it's actually more affordable because my health insurance sucks so I don't utilize that. Plus the discount for paying out of pocket made more sense. But as of recently Rachelle, the large lady who has been nothing but rude to me suddenly states she can't fill my prescriptions, yes I understand it's just my regular Adderall that I take as needed especially during classes while out of state and it helps me. But I'm suddenly told she can't fill it because she needs to talk to my prescriber and that I'm suspicious. I've been coming here for over a year, not once abused any sort of medications because I would lose my job on top of my job with the government, and suddenly she tells me I'm suspicious and won't fill it. When she does talk to my prescriber she's just as rude when I heard what she told her. Absolutely agitated and felt completely upset that she assumed I was someone who would be suspicious. Now I'd like to say because of that rude troll Rachelle, which by the way you can probably encourage her for better hygiene due to her breath and tartar and self care, I have not had my medication for over a month and it has been nothing but a struggle because of her assumptions and suddenly targeting me after going there for over a year with absolutely no problems! Though I'd like to say I have not had any problems with other persons in this pharmacy, I'd like to a commend Lee, Sam, And Ed for all being kind, patient and never once made me feel like I was being profiled as well as the kind small talk and interactions. You 3 are much appreciate and I'm sorry your stuck working with a tyrant.

As I waited in line I enjoyed conversations with both the people in front and behind me whom all have never been before. The joy and excitement on their faces as they made their way to order was priceless. As for myself, a small mac to help start the new year strong for total lbs sold (81k in 2024) and a small pulled pork. Wanted to order some other things but my refrigerator is full at home, so another time. If this will be your first time, just be aware of parking could be very busy as there's not much. Both ways before pull out of parking spaces as well. Main road can be a cluster at times. I also recommend getting lots of little things rather than a little of a lot. I took as many photos as a Middle Aged woman is permitted to take without looking like a fool - see the photos- while I waited for my turkey club sandwich on French (highly recommend) and loved every second of it. Ok so we have wonderful local and specialty wines beer, cheeses , pantry items , extremely micro vendors of local sauces, dressings, drinks and a lot more in the refrigerators and a ton of CUTE and adorable hand made functional art and crafts - including these "blind dates with a book" that instant stole my heart (see pics) and made me want to move down the road from this place. Sandwich was lovely exactly what you'd expect from a cute country store and deli but just elevated - and welcomed very much to my stressed and dulled palette To top off off I had probably the best service ever at the counter - like truly inspired me to have a better day every though I have to say it didn't get much better but I can say with confidence my visit to petersham country store was the highlight of my day and I cannot wait to come back and bring a friend for a relaxing morning of books, shopping and coffee here .
