Mike is the real deal -- and if you're a dog owner in Brooklyn who takes your pup's wellbeing…read moreseriously, stop searching and book him now. We've been using Mike for regular dog walking, and from day one the difference was obvious. He's everything you want in a walker: consistent, communicative (we actually know what's happening on every single walk), and -- most importantly -- genuinely dog-obsessed in the best way possible. You can tell this isn't just a job for him. He cares deeply about creating a safe, secure, and enriching environment for every dog in his care. Max and Nora always comes home happy and tired in the best way. But the real game-changer for us was the dog training. We came in with two dogs and behavioral issues we honestly thought were just... who they were. Things we had quietly accepted as permanent. Within a short period of working with Mike, those issues shifted -- almost instantly. The progress was nothing short of life-changing. His approach is calm, methodical, and clearly rooted in a deep understanding of dog behavior. He doesn't just correct problems; he helps you understand the "why" behind them, which means the changes actually stick. It's rare to find someone who combines professional-grade training skills with the kind of warmth and dedication that makes you feel like your dogs are in genuinely good hands. Mike is that person. We're so grateful we found him.

We highly and confidently recommend Mike and BK Paws & Play…read more We've worked with Mike consistently since 2021 and he has been absolutely instrumental in our journey with our rescue, Goose. At 40lbs, anxious, and leash-reactive, Goose wasn't the easiest first pup for us to raise together. Since he is an athletic, medium-sized dog, we needed someone with the confidence and experience to handle his size, triggers, and reactivity. Mike was that person. Through years of consistent weekday and occasional weekend walks, Mike helped Goose socialize safely on solo and 'pack' walks. Knowing that Mike has worked with many of the same dogs and owners in the neighborhood for years really speaks to how much he is trusted with our four-legged family members. Because of Mike, we understand Goose so much more now. Our relationship is full of trust and, honestly, way more fun. The daily photos and updates were incredibly reassuring, but Mike's support went far beyond walking. Over the past year, he provided refresher training that significantly strengthened Goose's obedience and our own communication skills. Most recently, when we moved to a new neighborhood, Mike went above and beyond by coming over for a two-hour session to help us introduce Goose to our new home, giving us the personalized advice we needed to get off on the right foot. We're sad that we're unable to work with Mike regularly, but we're already looking forward to his occasional dog park hangouts so Goose can reunite with his friends. If you have a 'difficult,' anxious, or larger rescue dog and want a professional who truly understands them, Mike is the person you want in your corner.

Posting this again because our friends mentioned they are using this service and noted that my Yelp…read morereview has mysteriously disappeared.... We used to use house broken exclusively. When using them for check-in's for cats while we were away they were fine. They would make the daily check in. However when we started using them for dog walking the service was entirely unprofessional. We had our walker cancel on us last minute twice before we stopped using them. Both times we were hours outside the city and relying on our dog being cared for so we could enjoy our day. The cancelation notice came in extremely late notice. Leaving us frantic to get back, as our dog had already been alone for 6 hours. The last time the cancelation happened the service told us the store where they house their keys closed early and they had no way to access our keys to get into our apartment. If you're going to have a third party hold the keys to your clients, and you have clients booked into the evening, better organization is needed. Both times only a shrug of an apology was offered. So yes to cat check ins absolutely no to relying on them for walks. (Or keeping accurate Yelp reviews, because I find it very suspicious my previous one has gone missing)..

HouseBroken is the best dog walking service I have ever used....and believe me when I say this…read morebecause we have tried many services in the Prospect/ Crown Heights area. Vivian, the owner, is absolutely pleasure to work with. The walkers are reliable, well trained and caring. Very highly recommended!!

So Gabriella and company Thank you!!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! THIS IS A LONG REVIEW…read more If I could give this place a zero I would. I've taken my dog here in the past but the inconveniences with charging, the extra fee for card verses cash was a turn off. So I started taking my dog to WHO'S YOUR DOGGY, which is excellent. Me and my partner got our signals crossed and he mistakenly took my dog here this past Saturday to be groomed unfortunately. They took him which was odd bcuz again he didn't have an appointment here. Once he was picked up my dog and took him outside my partner noticed visible cuts on him. He went back inside and addressed the receptionist. She stated that his fur was matted (it wasn't we wash him regularly with the brush gloves) and he got nicked. That should have been addressed immediately upon arrival but it was not. Once he got home I then noticed he had more cuts. Some his body, hind legs, his private area and possibly his anal area. I believe there is more but he won't allow me to touch him much. My dog can barely walk, sit, isn't eating and is laying still. My partner called and was told through text btw that he had a skin irritation and that what we were seeing was from the skin irritation solely. The stories has changed dramatically the owner s unwilling to take calls. All communication with any issues are through text. Anyways I finally was able to speak to the owner Gabriella. She also wanted to respond through text but I demanded to speak to her verbally. She does a lot of talking but hardly any listening. She proceeded to tell me about my dog having skin allergies which can cause some skin irritation and the dog more than likely got razor burns. I had to cut her off and explain to her this was not what the receptionist told my partner. She also decided to send me over photos some were the ones we sent them with one of the cuts. There was so much talk and things she was saying didn't make sense. As a business owner she refused to take responsibility for the butchered job that was done to my dog and I am HIGHLY upset and disappointed. Not even a sorry was offered. Which is baffling. Even if you don't offer a refund you couldn't give a sorry? It is now Wednesday and my dog still isn't back to his normal self. He is moving around a bit more but very slowly. We've had to pick him up just to move him around and to take him up and down stairs just to go outside to relieve himself. I WILL NEVER TAKE MY DOG BACK HERE AND IF I WERE YOU I WOULDN'T EITHER.
