This gym has been very disappointing. There are a couple of really good coaches; but many that just don't care and don't appear qualified to coach. My children have had their gymnastics coaches changed many times and this has really stunted their overall growth. My children are great listeners and want to learn, but have not made much progress in the time that they have been here. I signed my children up to try a dance class and the teacher spent the first 15 minutes of class on her phone. She then basically had the children walk around the room for 10 minutes and point out their toes. It was pathetic. The front desk needs to improve their customer service. They are friendly to a select few. Also, the bathrooms are disgusting and they rarely have toilet paper. There are broken mirrors in the changing rooms and light bulbs that are always burned out. They've recently increased their tuition rates and did not let anyone know ahead of time. I had high hopes for this gym, but it's just not working out. We are going to start looking into the other local gyms. read more

I don't understand why this place got such high reviews. My child attended this school for over two years. The last six months before pulling her out (really tried to keep her there) was nearly unbearable. The "instructors" nearly always looked as if they dreaded being there. My daughter had three different instructors while attending. A young lady with brown shoulder length curly hair, that may have been there just for the summer. An older lady with an accent, I loved her, she was firm but nice. And a young lady (I believe still works there) with very long straight brown hair. The three of them were the reason I stayed as long as I did. I couldn't stand sitting there watching the other instructors text on their phones while the girls warmed up. Sour looks on their faces. They appeared to be cavalier about everything that was going on around them. Some of the instructors didn't even lead warm ups. They would chat with each other while an older student conducted warm ups. How do they certify these instructors?! This place is not clean, it always smells nasty. My child now goes to a different dance studio and enjoys it much more. 4months in and she was given enough study and direction to perform in the Nutcracker this past holiday. We are much happier with the level of professionalism at Citrus Heights Dance studio. read more

I have been taking my two kids for a couple of months now, the coaches seem nice, haven't had any bad experience with them. The only 3 thing I complain about is that they switch coaches constantly, different schedules for 2 kids making it difficult to take them on the same day/time and the receptionist are extremely rude and disrespectful. Theres been two times that I called to change dates and ask questions, I felt rushed and unconfortable. The receptionist seemed rude irritated and had a tone of voice sounding miserable and unfriendly. She was talking over me and being sarcastic calling me hun in sarcastic voice as if I had no idea what she was talking about. The only reason they are there working is because of paying customers. As a paying customer I deserve to be treated with respect and at least fake that you are happy there and working "hard". Hope the receptionist change their nasty and discouraging attitudes that make me want to pull my kids out. read more

This place was just ok. We tried the ballet followed by the gymnastics. We had actually been going to another gymnastics studio nearby but thought we'd give this one a shot. The ballet class was great, the teacher was wonderful and I loved how the building was set up BUT the gymnastics class left something to be desired. During warm up the teachers would shout out verbal directions then go back to chatting with each other, paying little to no attention to the kids (my kids were in the 3 year old class). And during the rest of the class the teacher had no control over them whatsoever. The kids just did whatever they wanted. It was very disorganized and chaotic, much different than the classes we had been attending at the other place. Needless to say we didn't switch. read more

Very happy and enthusiastic staff. My three year old and six year old girls love it! Even when my little one gets distracted the teacher knows how to keep her attention and keep her happy and moving. I cant say enough good things about the owners/mgmt. They are very professional and seemed far more conserned about us having a good experience than with collecting payments. If I told them I had to pay late this month they were super understanding. The even waived the fee for signing up in the begining because they new as a single mom it was very hard for me. When I hadnt been there in a few weeks they asked how I was and they are very genuine like they really do care. I feel like its more than a job to them, they treat everyone like family. As far as the gym goes its very clean and organized. If I wasnt moving out of state there is no way my kids would have ever left. I'll probably come back to this review after today's class. We did the 2 free trial classes to see how everything was. We absolutely love the atmosphere of the studio. We love the concept of moving up based on skill and not by age. I can't give my two cents on the instructors switching up all of the time, I guess I'll see that later today. The reason why this review is currently at 3 starts is because THE RECEPTIONIST IS RUDE! She talked to me like I burdened her with a phone call to double check to see what time my daughter's second free trial was. Her tone of voice was very rude and condescending. Receptionists initially sets the mood for the company as a whole when a new customer is inquiring, but she just left a very sour taste in my mouth. This was the second time (the only two times I've called) that she was just rude and unhappy on the phone. She's a total turn off and makes me want to join a different gymnastics studio. read more

Fliptastic did an AWESOME job with our daughter's 1st birthday party. We ended up doing some last-minute planning to move our party to an indoor venue after rain appeared in the forecast just a couple of days beforehand. Fliptastic came through BIG time for us and did a fantastic job. We were admittedly skeptical as to whether a group of mostly 1-2 year olds could enjoy a kids gymnastics venue but Fliptastic did a great job leading toddler activities with parent participation, and the kids had a blast. Our daughter loved the long trampoline, the foam pit, and parachute especially. The Fliptastic coach leading the activities was fun and enthusiastic, and every staff person we dealt with was kind and helpful. They were flexible and accommodating about food and decorations, and took most of the work out of the party for us. The price was more than reasonable, and we were so happy with the party that we're pretty much planning on having her birthday parties there for the next 10 years or so. They just made it so easy for us. Happy kids & happy parents, we couldn't ask for more. Thank you fliptastic!! read more

Had our daughters 7th Birthday here and it was awesome! They take care of everything! Decorations, all tableware stuff, cupcakes and drinks for the kids even!! All of the staff were so friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back to Fliptastic!!! read more

I took my four year old son in today for the K-1 class. His grandmother usually takes him on Thursdays, and this was my first time attending. I asked a staff member where to line up, and she initially directed me to the wrong class. I was eventually re-directed to another class, and walked over with my son. (I was unaware that parents sat out) The staff did not acknowledge my son, nor gave him the attention that they gave the other members of the group. I was eventually told I was probably looking for the parent participation group. When I went into the participation group the woman staff member harshly told me I was not in the right group, and re-directed me back to the front. Eventually, my son ended up in the correct group. The two women working in the K1 group did not seem to have the patience to work with small children. One in particular was very cold, and unwelcoming when talking to my child. She instructed the children to get their dots, my son accidentally picked up the wrong one, which was promptly taken away, and a new green dot was pretty much thrown at him. My son really wanted to enjoy this day, and it was painful to see him feel so unwelcome in a seemingly kid-friendly environment. I will NEVER be back to this place, and plan on following up tomorrow with a manager. I do not believe half of those people should be working with small children. My son has a speech problem, and did not need the staff making him feel even more out of place, it was such an awful experience. I will definitely be returning to Gymboree where the teachers were upbeat, cheerful, and WELCOMING. I strongly recommend avoiding this gymnasium!! read more

Everything about this studio is top notch. The owner is a kind, honest, caring parent himself and he hires and maintains a staff who have the same values. The teachers are great with the kids and needs are always attended to quickly. We've been a client since the beginning and my kids feel incredibly safe, welcomed and loved by the staff. read more

This place is great! They have a large selection of classes, the environment is clean relaxed and comfortable. They are very flexible and wonderful to work with. The coaches are high energy and they really know their stuff. Definitely worth checking out. Oh, and they let you do that free too, a few free trials so you can see if the class works for your child or not. the classes themselves are engaging and challenging for the kids. We first came here for a birthday party and we have been hooked ever since! The management is extremely friendly, the facility is clean and the instructors are energetic and friendly as well. My son is currently in the break dancing class and loving it. However, he was able to try out several different classes so that he could find the perfect fit for him. You can tell a lot of thought and care went into developing this wonderful facility. I am very happy to see it thriving! Parents have different objectives for taking their kids to gymnsastics and other like activities. For us I want my children to learn skills in a progressive environment while having fun. We don't want daycare. Fliptastics serves our objectives well. We have under 5 year old children whom know they are going to class to learn, get better and have fun. Our daughter just started classes for 5-year-olds and she loves her teacher, Miss Jessica. Miss Jessica is wonderful with shy kids and very nurturing and encourages the kids well. We liked the environment so much that we also had our daughter's birthday party at Fliptastic. Pat and Julia went above and beyond to ensure a smooth process for parents as well as provide great fun for the kids. Compared to BounceU or Wacky Tacky, we enjoyed the Fliptastic experience best and had full use of the venue while kids rotated through different gymnastic stations. Fliptastic is also more flexible with food and cake options than other establishments. Fliptastic is definitely committed to making things easy for guests and takes the stress out of planning a kid's birthday party.
