The best steak & eggs I ever had, so good! I can't believe is so cheap with quality and quantity

The burger was very good! It was almost as good as an In and Out burger! Fresh roll and fixings. The fries were seasoned and crisp. The place is a bit chaotic though. They were busy and seemed a bit unorganized. The number system didn't seem to work too well as some people were waiting way too long. Not us though. Ours was pretty quick and delicious. I do have to say that the workers kept their cool and and stayed emotionally constant despite the glares and comments from hungry waiting patrons. The tables could've used a good wiping off too. I think management was lacking or maybe they were just busy jumping in to help. I couldn't tell! The food is good though! And you can get a cold beer right there!

Double cheese burger w/ lettuce, pickle, onion, tomato & sauce.

Having previously visited the three other food court style restaurants at Rivers Casino, we decided to try the remaining one, Flipt, a burger joint. It's brightly lit dining area offers counter, 2-seat booth, high-top, and standard table accommodations. Place your order at the station beneath the large lighted menu on the wall and receive a buzzer to let you know when your order is ready. If your order is not to-go, they have no trays to place your order on allowing you to conveniently carry your food and/or drinks to your table. They will instead offer to place everything in takeout bags so you won't have to make several trips back and forth to your table. The menu says they use four ounce, all natural, Black Angus ground beef patties. They do not ask you how you would like to have your beef cooked. Your burger comes with lettuce, pickle, tomato, onion, and their house sauce. A single patty burger costs $6.50, an additional patty increases the cost by 75 cents; add a third patty for still $1 more. Cheese options are American, Swiss, or cheddar for 50 cents while bacon costs an optional $1.50. I decided to try a double cheddar cheese burger with a side of Onion Rings ($4). My wife ordered a single Swiss cheese burger with a side of French Fries ($3.50). Because we both had turned our orders into "Combos" by ordering the sides, we were each offered a free soft drink. The burgers came on fresh brioche rolls that had been buttered and toasted. They held up well, even to my double burger, and had a lightly toasted texture. Slightly awkward, the burgers were wrapped in a foil/paper such that when unwrapped they were upside down. It's interesting that I haven't noticed this at other fast food burger joints. While we were not asked how we wanted our burgers cooked, I was surprised to see them medium-rare to medium. The patties even had a bit of crispiness on their edges. The flavor of the beef was decent, the onions added a nice crunch to each bite and the gooey melted cheese and house sauce provided a nice moist overall experience without being overly messy. The sides of onion rings and French fries were standard, previously frozen varieties and not worth ordering just to get the free soft drinks. There are three beers available on draft, Bud Light ($5), Stella Artois ($6), and Schenectady's Mad Jack Rivers Rye ($7). Service was friendly, and noise level is typical loud casino. I'd like to give two and a half stars, but I'm rounding up to three because the burgers were better than some I've had where they do ask you how you want it cooked.

Enormous, crispy, onion rings. The burger on this day was nearly one star. So over cooked and dried out. It sure looks pretty though!

Absolutely terrible, both taste and texture. I was expecting mediocre quality, but "mediocre" would have a major upgrade.

Seriously, there are so many choices I almost needed a life coach. Everything is fresh -- you can taste that the lettuce didn't come from a bag. The staff? Friendly, patient, and clearly used to people standing there in awe trying to decide between turkey or Italian for ten minutes straight. And can we talk about how clean this place is? You could eat off the floor -- though please don't, they worked too hard to keep it that spotless. It's trendy in that way that never stops being cool -- kind of like vinyl records, or good manners. Lyle's Hoagies proves that old-school still rules the lunch game.

R Gershon's Deli (Facebook) Dear Friends of Gershon's, It is with a heavy heart that I share this news with our loyal customers, friends, staff, and extended family. I have made the incredibly difficult decision to close Geshon's Deli & Caterers. Friday, January 30th, 2026, was our final day. This decision was not made lightly as Gershon's has been an integral part of my life since I was a little girl. After my father's untimely passing, I took over with one clear mission, to honor his legacy, keep his dream alive, and continue providing quality service and "good food for good people." For more than 60 years, Gershon's has been shaped by the people who walked through our doors. Every employee, customer, client, and friend has played a role in our story and our success. Unfortunately, rising food costs, ongoing economic challenges, the lasting effects of COVID, and the loss of my final opportunity this week have left me with no other choice. To everyone who has supported me over the past nine years, thank you. Thank you for the memories, for trusting us with your celebrations, holidays, milestones, and everyday moments. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your lives, in both the joyful times and the hard ones. I will miss seeing you all more than I can put into words. I am deeply grateful for the love and support you've shown me and my family over the years. I wish vou all nothina but the best. Please take care

On good days, they can serve one of the best sandwiches. Otherwise, I've had several occasions where I was left wondering why my pastrami sandwich was literally two pieces of bread with a small bit of pastrami - no dressing or anything else, and no questions asked. I like the attentiveness of the staff whenever we come here in person whether for diner in or takeaway, and their fresh pickles are wonderfully crunchy and worth looking forward to. They have some delicious pies, too, and the chocolate cream pie is our fave. I would go back, but the inconsistency over time certainly has dampened my enthusiasm that I may have once had.

Ever since, I try to stop by about three or four times a year to enjoy the food and ambiance. The owners Mike and Barb are retiring 7/31/24 after fifty years. May they enjoy their retirement. The new owners, a couple from Schenectady, will keep the name and the menu. Bravo! It is a lot of work and long hours, but it was evident that the owners enjoyed their business and their customers, many of whom became regulars. You noticed that the food they prepared was made with love and expertise. It was consistently good. The menu has been constant over the years because it pleased customers and made the place a success. The roast beef and turkey are cooked daily. Plus, the potato salad and macaroni salad are made in house every morning by Barb. I had to stop by today to honor my memories of eating here over the years. I had a huge roast beef and turkey mix on rye with thousand island dressing and macaroni salad. Delicious as always. I took half home for my husband to enjoy. He did! My friend enjoyed a huge roast beef sandwich and a potato salad side. Even the dill pickle spears taste incredible here! It must be the yummy sandwich. We sincerely hope the quality and ambiance continue with the new owners. If that is the case, I look forward to supporting them. It is so much better than a chain restaurant.

It was a full-on snowstorm, the weird dead zone after Christmas where everyone else is like "nah, we're closing early," and Perrecca's was like: "We ride." Just me and the wife, snow coming down sideways, and this place is warm, welcoming, and absolutely cranking out hot food. And I mean HOT hot -- not "restaurant hot," but "careful-that-plate-is-trying-to-burn-your fingerprints-off" hot. Love to see it. Food? Super tasty. No notes. Service? Solid across the board. Bathrooms? Clean enough to eat off of (I didn't, but I could've). Parking? Plenty of off-street, no parallel parking Olympics required. Now let's talk about the hostess -- because WOW. She works the room like she personally built the place brick by brick. Touches every table, warm, friendly, checking in -- you'd swear her name was on the sign out front. Absolute pro. Hospitality Hall of Fame behavior. Between the legendary bakery, the attached restaurant, and the fact that they stayed open when the weather said "stay home," this place is a must-see Schenectady institution. Come hungry.
