I ordered a cheeseburger and fries and the portion was large enough that I was able to take half home to eat the next day. Burger was juicy and had a charbroiled taste. It's ok. It's inside the casino. Not very busy I had the chicken sandwich and waffle fries. Why it's gets 2 stars is bc the chicken was overcooked and under seasoned, although it looked good. The odd part is the 2 Tomato slices on it were mostly green. Come on lol, they can't give ripened tomatoes on their sandwiches? That has to be pointed out to them? Really weird No free refills on sodas What perfectly complimented the raw, hard tomatoes was the woman emptying the trash loudly blowing her nose and eyeing it like it was a new discovery. She couldn't have waited to go to the bathroom? Disgusting When you pay with a card they also ask you to tip then- so pay cash if you tip based on service. Got some lunch before heading back to NYC. Tbis place is inside the casino - which is one of the only drawbacks. (There's a hotel and casino) Got two turkey clubs: one was a regular club minus tomatoes w/cheese + avocado and the other was w/o bread. Unfortunately, the kitchen forgot to add the cheese & avocado. Also purchased ginger twist tea from Mighty Leaf and an coffee - bottle were so good that I'm playing to see if I can purchase & have it at home - this place is 4hours away! The cashier who took our food order was very apologetic - honestly, it wasn't her fault since she read the order back to is several times. The sandwich lasted for two different meal times! :) If I am every in that part of town, I'll definitely be going back. read more

Happened to be visiting friends in the area ended up at the casino, so here I am, getting drunk food. I ordered the Jackpot Fries ($7.50) which were crispy waffle fries loaded with chili cheese sauce, sour cream, ranch scallions and sliced jalapeño. Wished I took a photo of this because it looked absolutely amazing, but can get quite messy. Food came out pretty quick and service is pretty standard. No complaints. read more

The burger was very good! It was almost as good as an In and Out burger! Fresh roll and fixings. The fries were seasoned and crisp. The place is a bit chaotic though. They were busy and seemed a bit unorganized. The number system didn't seem to work too well as some people were waiting way too long. Not us though. Ours was pretty quick and delicious. I do have to say that the workers kept their cool and and stayed emotionally constant despite the glares and comments from hungry waiting patrons. The tables could've used a good wiping off too. I think management was lacking or maybe they were just busy jumping in to help. I couldn't tell! The food is good though! And you can get a cold beer right there! read more

"Flipt" They got the simple order wrong, they didn't know the ingredients in their food, their shake machine was "still" broken and the food itself was inedible. Decent food but not the best by far. I got the Buffalo chicken wings and a chicken tenders combo. The bone in chicken wings came 6 per order ($10.50) and came with carrot sticks and celery sticks and blue cheese dressing. It was delicious but sauce leaked straight though the box but lucky it was in a plastic take out bag. The chickens tenders came 3 large plus waffle fries. The tenders were little hard on the outside and had some chewy pieces inside which wasn't that tasty. Waffle fries needed salt and should have been more crispy but I used the blue cheese and honey mustard to flavor it up. Service is pretty friendly and pretty fast. Paid with casino points so was a free meal for me play. I would eat here if hungry at the casino but I wouldn't go out of my way to come to eat here. read more

When I walked into the casino I was looking to get a cup of coffee before exploring. I walked up to the counter (the restaurant was completely empty) and asked for a coffee. The girl tells me the next time I'll need to go around the corner to the bakery side to get coffee. I pointed out that coffee was on the Flipt menu. She became irritated and walked over to make the coffee. While she was there I could see and hear her complaining to one of the counter people. I told her coffee shouldn't be listed on the menu if she didn't want to make it. She tells me " I'm not arguing about this anymore with you". I initially walked off after telling her to keep the coffee but turned around and spoke to the manager about how I was treated. Not cool! If Flipt doesn't want to serve coffee it should not be on the menu. i was nervous about being labeled a "Karen" then realized that this label was made to oppress the voice of women. Having previously visited the three other food court style restaurants at Rivers Casino, we decided to try the remaining one, Flipt, a burger joint. It's brightly lit dining area offers counter, 2-seat booth, high-top, and standard table accommodations. Place your order at the station beneath the large lighted menu on the wall and receive a buzzer to let you know when your order is ready. If your order is not to-go, they have no trays to place your order on allowing you to conveniently carry your food and/or drinks to your table. They will instead offer to place everything in takeout bags so you won't have to make several trips back and forth to your table. The menu says they use four ounce, all natural, Black Angus ground beef patties. They do not ask you how you would like to have your beef cooked. Your burger comes with lettuce, pickle, tomato, onion, and their house sauce. A single patty burger costs $6.50, an additional patty increases the cost by 75 cents; add a third patty for still $1 more. Cheese options are American, Swiss, or cheddar for 50 cents while bacon costs an optional $1.50. I decided to try a double cheddar cheese burger with a side of Onion Rings ($4). My wife ordered a single Swiss cheese burger with a side of French Fries ($3.50). Because we both had turned our orders into "Combos" by ordering the sides, we were each offered a free soft drink. The burgers came on fresh brioche rolls that had been buttered and toasted. They held up well, even to my double burger, and had a lightly toasted texture. Slightly awkward, the burgers were wrapped in a foil/paper such that when unwrapped they were upside down. It's interesting that I haven't noticed this at other fast food burger joints. While we were not asked how we wanted our burgers cooked, I was surprised to see them medium-rare to medium. The patties even had a bit of crispiness on their edges. The flavor of the beef was decent, the onions added a nice crunch to each bite and the gooey melted cheese and house sauce provided a nice moist overall experience without being overly messy. The sides of onion rings and French fries were standard, previously frozen varieties and not worth ordering just to get the free soft drinks. There are three beers available on draft, Bud Light ($5), Stella Artois ($6), and Schenectady's Mad Jack Rivers Rye ($7). Service was friendly, and noise level is typical loud casino. I'd like to give two and a half stars, but I'm rounding up to three because the burgers were better than some I've had where they do ask you how you want it cooked. read more

If you read my reviews you know I am a casino regular. I don't pay for my meals (with cash out of my pocket) and have eaten at all of the restaurants at Rivers. Flipt offers lots of fan favorites. Mini dogs, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks and wings. It also offers the typical burger chain items. Onion rings, fries, shakes and burgers. I have only ordered the burger, fries, shakes and rings. The shake is made with real ice cream but there is something suspicious going on. They don't mix them in house. They use the equivalent of a soft serve machine which produces a milk shake. It is definitely better than your phony fast food shake. I would drink a chocolate shake here any day. The fries and rings are decent. The rings are huge and crispy. Finally we must discuss the menu item that is referenced in their name, the burger. They have some creative ones. I have only ordered the Flipt double. The bun is nice, made in house. The condiments are fresh and tasty and they have a secret sauce which you have had many times before. They claim the burger is Angus. They don't ask you how you want it cooked aka Five Guys. The burger is always insanely hot went you take a bite. I think they use a flat top but there are also grill marks. The burgers themselves are usually inconsistent and run from 2 to 3 stars. I have had them come out well done. Zero juice. Zero flavor. Saved only by the cheese and condiments. They could be producing great burgers here. The management should really reconsider the cooking process. Five guys does make a juicy burger without cooking it to death. A casino comp may make you overlook these imperfections. A meal "on the house" here is not too bad. If they want people to be impressed they need to improve the burger. read more

This would be a good place to go when you are in town, and all the bars' kitchens have closed down or you need some burger joint food. Easy parking in the lot outside...a fast walk in the door and to the left and you are at Flipt. It was surprisingly not very noisy and service was fast and friendly, with food coming out in a reasonable amount of time. Had bone in wings which were decent enough..finished off with a cannoli, which isn't a dessert which tolerates being in a cool case for very long...so while the taste was fine, the texture of the shell was a bit leathery. Easy, no fuss food and fast service & transaction...hit the spot for 11:30pm munchies. read more

I definitely "understand" the negative reviews below. My experience has been slightly different. Although I love beef, I usually substitute grilled chicken for beef here, and honestly, think the chicken version of their "single" is excellent - from the bun, to the toppings...excellent. Not a great first impression. There was one order placed before ours and one order placed after. So yes only 3 customers. We waited over 20 minutes for an order of wings and French fries. Noticed the other 2 customers had their food so we asked how much longer for ours. OOPS they forgot about us. Finally got the wings and low and behold- no celery, carrots or blue cheese. Flip is inside of Rivers Casino. It's your typical burger joint. I ordered a burger and beer, the bill was about $17. A bit high for a burger and beer but to be expected when dining inside of a casino. My burger did not come out in time due to some confusion. We must agree with other postings. Clearly frozen bulk beef, and certainly the greasiest waffle fries ever partially consumed. Wife had rubber chicken in lieu of beef. A very few simple changes could improve upon the experience: Leave said fries in cooking oil longer, or insure oil is at proper temperature. Drain, serve. The burgers? Upgrade the quality just a bit. $13 for burger/fry.Soda leaves room for just a little better quality. Anyone that has had a burger from a fairground vendor or similar will relate. With regard to cleanliness: We sat in a booth against the wall, which had a chair-rail so affixed. The perfect spot to collect crumbs from previous diners for the game "What did people eat before me?" This leads one to question the cleanliness elsewhere.
