3rd visit to this location on a Thurs. night. Fair warning to non smokers, when you walk in, you get an unwelcomed smell of cigarette smoke. The bar is near the entrance. There is a partition between the bar and dining area. When our meal was over, I didn't notice it much. I asked for raspberry ice tea from the menu, but was told by our server that it has been replaced with "filtered watered". So I got that and for filtered water, it was good as it gets. Fried pickles for an appetizer. Thickly cut and not overwhelmed with breading. BBQ burger was tasty, more med well then med which I asked, but it was juicy and the ground bacon added great taste. Fresh bun and not lots of lettuce like some places give you. Love the potato chips. I had my serving and my daughter's. Sever was friendly and provided drink refills at the right time. read more

If you don't mind the smell of cigarette smoke it's an ok sports bar. We sat in dining area to avoid smoke and there were only 6 people total in the restaurant. The queso dip was a good choice for a starter. Chicken fried steak was decent. I think our service would've been better if we sat in the bar. They seem to get more attention there. I had to chase down the waitress for our bill. read more

We had a large party of 16 but didn't have reservations . Emma did a great job of accommodating us and ensuring everyone was quickly served. The food was great, I usually have the jalapeño pork chop but decided on the boneless chicken wings this time. Wow! Excellent food and excellent service. I definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

The food is high quality and I absolutely love the service. Sara is the best because she always gets your order right and never let's your drink go empty when she is your cocktail server or bartender. Always delivers your drink with a smile on her face. She is amazing!! read more

Ok I walked in at lunch time and nobody greeted me at the door and then I waited a few more minutes then I had to go to the bar. Still no one said anything to me then I went to the other side of the room to try to find somebody to seat me and there was nobody there to help me either. So I left, very disappointed... read more

Best bar/restaurant in the Grapevine area! Service is always amazing. The food is great and moderately priced. Huge alcohol selection as well. Sami (server) was a delight and the managers are very involved in making sure everything is perfect. read more

Food is good. Service is good. BUT - bar is a smoking area and the smell permeates the entire restaurant. You cannot get away from it. I've eaten here many times. At lunch the smoke smell isn't noticeable but as the day wears on, it gets worse. By 5:00 it is really bad - at least to this non-smoker. REALLY bad. read more

I am ending 4 years of patronage with Flips in Grapevine due to their deceptive business practices. Instead of being upfront and raising the price of their import beers, they've chosen to deceive their customers by relabeling their beer pints as a "20-ounce beer," though you get the same amount you always have (in the same pint glasses they've always used), but now pay more for it. Their 20-ounce beers have been relabeled as a "22-ounce beer," though you still only get a 20-ounce pour, and again, pay more for it. I tried to explain this to the manager on duty last night, to no avail, and have filed a complaint to Greg Marshall, General Manager. If Flips' costs have gone up, customers will understand their costs will go up as well. The deception, however, is unconscionable. On principle, I will take my money elsewhere, and I encourage other beer drinkers to do the same. read more

This was an average restaurant to eat at. If I had to compare, it is on the same level as a Chilis, Cheddars exc. I don't have much to say about this place but it's very average in every way possible. read more

good food.. I came here once and the tvs in the restaurant area were too loud.. maybe because of a game.. good atmosphere.. I would return read more

Ordered a miller light draft, drink tasted like it was mixed with import draft. Bartender last night around 10:30pm was not friendly at all and a bit rude. Paid tab and left full glass of beer. read more

Sat September 16, 2017. I love this place BUT, there is a "bouncer" with a serious problem there. We were stopped at the door and told that we were not allowed entry because "we had already been drinking." We were not drunk. We thought he was joking. He was not. We chalked it up to little man's syndrome and took our business somewhere else. read more

Came here for Game of Thrones trivia night but definitely will not be back! The smoke from the bar was billowing over the sad attempt at a room divider. Drinks were incredibly watered down and food was average at best. We had four different appetizers: chips/queso, fried mushrooms, mac&cheese balls and cheesy fries-ALL FORGETTABLE. The one star was for the service which was good. read more

I came here with some co-workers and probably won't be back. First, this place is located in the whole 114/121 interchange mess in Grapevine. Upon entering, you'll immediately smell the cigarette smoke in the air. We had a couple of beers on the patio and they were decently priced. But other than that, I didn't enjoy anything else. It looked to be a mix of people looking to get drunk off cheap drinks and smoke cigarettes. With Pluckers, BW3's, and other bars/restaurants nearby, I'll have to pass. read more

Love this place! They have my favorite Moody June Gin and Fitchs Goat Corn Whiskey! Service is excellent!

We frequented Flips more than once after seeing flicks at the nearby Tinseltown. Good place for a burger or sandwich. Ask for half and half on the sides (the onion rings and the homemade chips are good.) Friends like the cole slaw. Busy bar and patio scene. Cigarette smoke can be bothersome if near the bar. Sports fans can be rowdy while watching a game on one of their many TVs. Prices are reasonable. read more

Let me preface this by saying that I've only been to Flip's a few times for beer with friends. And for this reason, I'm giving Flips 4 stars, because the beer is cheap and they never fail to make sure I've got a new bottle before I finish the one I have. I was here on a Thursday evening, and they had a live folk band performing out on the patio. On warm Texas nights, the Flips patio is a great place for enjoying a cold beer, fries w/ ranch dressing, and good live music. read more

Best service I've had within numerous restaurant/bars. We will deffinently be coming back as long as she is working here read more

Flips definitely has the best patio around, Also the menu is nice. There are tons to choose from and the food is fresh. They have a great craft beer selection. The staff is friendly. They have decent happy hour drink prices. There is tons of tvs to watch and they have live music on the patio. Great hang out spot. read more

I have always loved Flip's but...their food is starting to suffer. Service is still good..and our waitress was great..we always order the French Dip..and its usually melty and delicious..not this time...bad bread that fell apart..they didnt shave the roast beef..just dumped it on the bread and folded it...texture was way off...what's going on Flip's? read more

Been here a few times and never been disappointed! Queso with beef is pretty good and so is the moonshine blackberry margarita!!

I don't have anything but positives to say about this place. The menu is so versatile compared to other restaurants in its category. The cocktail servers are so helpful and always provide seamless service. We love the brisket potato skins and the 50/50 burger! If you're looking for a good place to have a cheat day, this is it! read more

I usually go here 3 or 4 times a month and always have a good time, and the food is always on point. They have trivia a couple days a week, and you can smoke in the bar. Last time I went Sara was my server and my drink was never empty. read more

Love this place! The food is amazing, and Sarah is the best! Zach is pretty ok too I guess. ( He makes some bomb ass chiltons!)

One of my first times here and Sara is the absolute BEST!!! She got our food & drinks to us promptly (way faster than me at work and I'm a seasoned server myself) and took the absolute best care of us. ASK FOR SARA!!! read more

This is the place to be!!! Very nice and the food is great! Service is outstanding! Ask for Sara! Some say she's "the best server in north Texas" but that is an understatement! Swing by if you wanna feel like you're at home! read more

Sara is my favorite server out of all the restaurants I go to in Grapevine! I request her every time I come in. She always remembers my drink order no matter how long it's been since I've seen her. Make sure you see her next time you're here! Also, they have the best mozzarella sticks in town. Get ranch and marinara for them, you'll love it. read more

Wonderful service, wonderful food, and a nice atmosphere, Flipz is a great hole in the wall. If you come here, ask for Sarah she is the best

I'm from San Francisco and i came to DFW on a business trip. I LOVE the burgers and potato chips. Made In n Out look&taste like a dollar menu burger. I hope they're open today because I'm flying in to visit my brothers and I plan on eating here ASAP. read more

The fish and chips are really good but the environment and ambience are lacking. It is so freaking dark in there. A few members of my party had to use the flashlight function on their cell phones to be able to read the menu. We asked about opening the shutters but there was a private party/presentaion in the room on the other side of the shutters so we were unable to benefit from the natural light coming in from the windows in that room. In addition, we smelled cigarette smoke which really turns my stomach when I am eating. The queso is really, really small so we had to order two for my party of 5. Wait staff was pleasant and attentive and kept our glasses full. read more

This place was a fun patio atmosphere but was such slooowww service. There were only three servers out on the patio and it wasn't that busy. The food was okay, nothing to die for and no reason to drive back here from Allen. Their drink specials ended at seven and the Pineapple drink tasted like sugar water. read more

Good stuff! May be the freshest selections and most complete menu of bar food that I've experienced... Reasonable prices, decent staff, and a great patio dining area... TVs galore, inside and out. We always sit outside; the inside bar area has a very strong smoke smell (always). Have caught live music on a Wednesday evening. read more
