I first started seeing Jayden at the Gunbarrel location and didn't hesitate to continue coming when they moved to Ooltewah. Mia is my regular nail technician, and she consistently does a fantastic job. She's not only incredibly skilled, but also personable and attentive. I always leave with beautiful nails and a smile. Tom has also done my manicure a few times, and he's excellent -- especially with shaping and being extra gentle since I have thin nails. I've visited many nail salons in different states, and Zen Nail Spa is truly one of the best. Their customer service is top-notch, and the quality of their work is consistently amazing. Always a great experience!

Adorable salon right here in our own little Ooltewah. The number one thing that stood out to me was…read morethe ability to make online appointments and see a list of what they had to offer me and how much it would cost. I went ahead and booked my apartment online and showed up on a Friday afternoon at 3 PM. When I first entered the salon I got pretty excited. It had a stylish yet cozy feel. A little counter and sitting area greeted me - I noticed a good amount of seating and of course quite a few little things for sale - shampoos, conditioners, hair products, candles, brushes, etc. It was tastefully done. I popped a squat in the sitting area after checking in and waited for my stylist. It didnt take much time for her to finish with her current client and get to me. I cant remember her name but I do remember thinking our time together was a little awkward. We made small talk once or twice during the hair wash, trim, and blow dry session. It was nice to not have to talk-talk-talk, but we just didnt seem to click until she began straightening my hair. Awkward conversation aside, I can say that she 100% pulled through. She took off the split ends without chopping too much length off of my hair, she then took her time to blow dry and straighten my hair, and then put some glorious product in it that made it look and feel FANTASTIC! I am currently on day 3 of my straight hair and I can testify that it is still straight without me having to take MY straightener to fix it in the mornings. I would definitely recommend this place and plan on coming back. So glad to have a cute, affordable salon just 10 minutes down the road.

Ok this is going to be long…read more Their sign says King Nails & Spa so don't be confused. I was a loyal K Joy customer. I still say that Kimmie does a fantastic job there and her salon is beautiful, BUT... On December 26th, I went to K Joy and they were closed. I needed to get my nails done THAT day. I had been to this salon about 2 years ago and it was just ok. Very basic nail options. A full set took forever. Only accepted cash from their cash machine that charged a fee and the lady that owned it also owned the froyo place and spent most of the time pushing her food on everyone which also only accepted cash... that always seems shady to me. I saw some newer fantastic reviews and decided to give them another try. I am BLOWN away! The salon is totally different. Tons of absolutely BEAUTIFUL options. It seems as though it has new owners. I was a walk-in with no appointment, yet I was greeted immediately and given a seat to get started even though they were busy. They do accept cards now and no mention of food. Lol. Vi did the most beautiful set of dip nails and at a great price (about $15 less for a full set of dip nails in an ombre style). She put so much extra effort into making sure that my hands and nails were beautiful. From a very thorough trimming of my cuticles (not just relying on the grinder and filing) to massaging my hands after the nails were complete. You get the full manicure treatment in addition to beautiful nails. King was helping and very sweet and friendly. At 48 years old and having had my nails done since I was a teenager, I can honestly say these are my favorite nails ever. I can't stop looking at them. I will definitely be back with no hesitation. Please pardon the old wrinkly hands and bad picture. They are 1000 times prettier in person. Don't hesitate to come here or if you'd been here in the past, like me, come back and see all the new options and give them another try. You won't regret it!
