I came here this past Saturday with my daughter to see the Flip Circus. We got to take pictures with an acrobat female dancer at the entrance. Afterwards, I had to get food because I was super hungry and was kind of upset at the pepperoni pizza. Looked like homemade or school pizza and it was thick crust. Thankfully the pizza was placed in a closed lid container. I got a soda with 2 pizzas and it cost me around $30. Kind of pricey. We got to sat in row 1 section BB, which was not that bad. It was in the middle of all the seats. Still got to see the performers' face and acts clearly. We got to see the magician, acrobats, a lady juggling balls, tightrope, and many more. In the middle of the circus during intermission, people got to take pictures with 2 oversized bear and panda. They were so damn huge! There were many port-a-potties outside with 4 sinks with soap and water. Cannot believe they have soap and water available. I thought it was just hand sanitizer alone. You just have to press a foot pump to release water and it was very little water being dispensed. I had to keep pressing the foot pump a lot of times to finish washing off all the soap from my hands. read more

I'm still excited to be able to say: "the circus is coming to town!" We recently attended a show held in West Nyack NY, where the tent was set up in a parking area of the Palisades Mall. The show consisted of mostly acrobatic feats interspersed with clowning and other bits, as gone are the days where live animals are used for circus hijinks (thank goodness for that!), but it was daring and high energy, and all the performers were fantastic and absolute pros. The music is even played by a live 7-piece band! My preschooler sat engrossed for most of the show (he loves spectacles but attention usually starts to waver after 45 minutes), and the kid sitting next me (about 7-8yo) was mesmerized and super enthusiastic the whole time. It's an entertaining outing with the family. There's an intermission about 2/3 of the way through so you can stretch your legs and use the restroom and whatnot. Audiences never like a long second half, so I appreciate the consideration of timing. The event was well-organized and very professional from top to bottom. Check-in was easy, and there are concession stands on both sides selling snacks, beverages, and merch - predictably over-priced, but that's how venue sales are these days, plus extras like photo souvenirs. The venue is intimate so you can see the stage/performers well. I thought the noise level was fine, esp. compared to many other family-friendly events I've been to (concerts, field reenactments, car races, monster truck & motocross shows, etc.), but if your littles are young or have sensitive ears, headphones are always recommended. There were plenty of porta-potties outside, and washing stations with water, soap, and paper towels. Don't come expecting the production values of Cirque du Soleil, but the level of talent definitely is! read more

This was my first time at Flip, and my first time at any circus in a long while. I've heard about it from family and friends, and was glad to get an opportunity to see them before they left Bay Plaza. It was great to see the talent and skill of the performers on full display, and it's especially a good time with friends or family. In particular, some of the acrobatics were very impressive to me in action. The food and drinks are exactly what one would expect, and the souvenirs have a fairly wide selection of options, particularly for children. Overall, it's definitely great fun for all ages with a fair amount of spectacle; I certainly would enjoy checking them out when they're in town again. read more

Got tickets for opening night of Flip Circus at Garden State Plaza in Paramus and I took my 6 year old daughter with me. We came last year too. When you get inside they take a photo of you in front of the circus backsplash. They charge $15 for the photo should you choose to buy it. There are numerous concessions you can buy - popcorn, snow cones, hot dogs, nachos, soda and candy. Seating is great wherever you sit because it is an intimate smaller setting for a circus. They do crowd work with the closer rows. The show was good but it was like 40% filler. The best act of the night was the contortionist- absolutely incredible!! read more

Attended Flip Circus when they were traveling in NJ. Small intimate vibe and you can see everything up close. A lot of acts that consisted mainly of acro types. The "clown" was quite entertaining. Was I blown away? No. Is it something fun to do with a younger child? Absolutely. In just our area there were a ton of 10-year-olds and younger and they were having a blast. read more

I decided to take my granddaughters here because it was conveniently located at Cross country shopping mall under a big tent ; free parking . The tickets for general admission were under 50 each. The circus as most are now a days was only performances don't expect any animals ...I actually was surprised to see young girls performing as well seasoned older performers with weight in them.....(let be explain I had geriatric surgery over a decade ago and people under estimate those with weight. ) The couple did exceptionally well held their own ... bravo for not conforming to what society deems normal. I'll say were were entertained was it the far best circus I've been too , no bit for the price ease of access and the friendly staff whom help my girlfriend on crutches find a seat and retrieved a lost bottle for us Thank you my granddaughters had fun at reasonable price ...conception's wasn't a killer 2 large sodas pop you said the concessions for 30 b 30 bucks a large popcorn, two large sodas and a candy and later my hot dog was 8 . We went to the circus on a Monday night, and it was such a fun experience! The performances were great and really kept the audience engaged. My favorite parts were the dancers and the guys flipping in the hamster wheel contraption. This really felt like a fun old-fashioned circus experience. I like that it was an actual circus tent. The show was very family-friendly but also fun for adults. The tent is small enough that even though we were in the top nose bleed sections, we had a good view. I would definitely recommend this fun circus experience! read more

Good show. Small venue, pick any seat on the sides or front and you will see everything. People from te front row (expensive seats) get chosen to participate in some of the skits. It's a good show for small kids. Found out my nephew doesn't like clowns. If you already know this about your family, then avoid the circus because there will be a clown involved every 15-20 min between each of the main acts. Food is expensive, but thats expected at these types of events. If you don't want to spend money buying kids light up toys, bring your own! They do a good job of walking around the entire audience trying to sells these. Saw a few parents struggling to avoid buying them. I went to their Paramus pop up as part of yelp elite giveaway but I did end up buying extra tickets at full price. There are a few things that bothered me but overall it was a nice evening out and my kids enjoyed themselves. Some of the performances were a little ehh but most were entertaining and fun to watch. I do like that it's a smaller environment and not a mega place like msg or prudential. Costumes are beautiful and very detailed. Here are something's I hate to bring up but I'm an honest reviewer: - timing: they start very late like 20min late and then intermission is 20min so it felt like a lot of down time which is tough for kids - heavy on the product pushing all night long, they come around and stalk you for your entry photo print out and the light sabers/wands at every chance. Even before intermission they do a call out for a special moment for light wands/sabers and then proceed to call out that there are a lot of people without them in the audience and more guys come around with toys selling them and shoving them into your face. - food and concessions are expensive- the photo op in the beginning is 20 and not great quality print, 2 waters and a cotton candy was $30 and then $6 for a box of candy I needed to get because my kids were going bonkers during the long intermission - risqué - once or twice I thought the routines were a bit risqué. The roller skaters in particular, the guy rips his shirt off and while I can appreciate it, my kids which I thought this was geared for had a lot of questions as to why the performers kept taking their clothes off. Isn't a huge thing but I could do without all that. Overall it was a good experience just be prepared to shell out $ and go in with no expectations. read more

I got the $50 a seat tickets, we sat in the same row that paid $15. Staff were very nice, very pushy cotton candy seller, I got 2 for $19. No clowns, Not much acts for kids under 10, my 6-year-old fell asleep, my 8-year-old wanted my phone to play with. plastic restrooms outside very dirty. performers were good, band were also good. I would not go again for sure. Don't even think about taking small kids, they will not enjoy it. read more

We went to the Bethesda, MD show the website advertised it would be air conditioned it absolutely was not!!! Scorching heat and only hot hot hot fans running my toddler was getting ill from sitting on the heat as well as my mother in law with medical conditions. Poorly advertised for very expensive tickets we could only make it through the first half of the show because of the high temperatures. read more

The show was excessively loud and not worth the price, with nearly half of it feeling like a clown act. The staff was extremely rude--after assigning us seats, they asked to see our tickets three separate times to 'verify,' and then told us to move to different seats-just not sit there. read more

Having audience sitting in extreme heat, and letting performers sweating and performing dangerous act is not responsible. This is not to discredit the performers; in fact they are quite professional, but whoever that is in charge needs to be more mindful of the safety issue. read more

This is a fantastic intimate circus experience for the whole family. Don't go expecting "Cirque du Soleil". The acts consist of Aerialists, Acrobats, Jugging, incredible Unicycle and a couple acts I've never seen in a circus. Also a clown that was actually pretty funny. All the performers were busting the butts to entertain. This is great circus to introduce kids to live performance. A few points: as mentioned in other reviews they do really push the toys and concessions but I never felt forced to buy anything. The volume of the show can be loud sometimes. read more

Recently saw the Flip circus in NY. It was a different circus experience (no animals, YAY!) and tons of flipping and tricks. Its held in a small venue which makes the experience more intimate and good for everyone especially younger children. Show started way after time on my ticket (3pm and started at 4:10pm.) We were seated promptly but the show started at 4:10pm which made the show seem so long! Food is horrible and so expensive. Pricey Wands/toys/pictures are constantly waved in your face. Went with my 6 and 8 year old kids and they loved it! My 8yr old is never impressed with anything but was mesmerized the entire time so it was a win in my book. I loved the performance because of the many unique tricks that they used to catch the audiences attention. What a fantastic show. Seeing FLIP CIRCUS is something I strongly advise. Between the costumes for each act and the outstanding performances, the show never failed to wow viewers. I'm happy we chose to sit in the middle. Although you may observe the event from wherever, I thought the middle was the best place to see all of the performers. When I checked other reviews, I saw that people were complaining about the most ridiculous stuff. They must use porta toilets since the circus tent is built up on a parking lot. It's not a big issue. They are kept clean and supplied. Souvenirs are sold there. You would obtain the same cheap keepsakes at any venue for the same price. People purchase these goods because they enhance the experience of seeing a circus, not because they are of excellent quality. Overall, I think the circus was well worth the money. The show was entertaining, and some of the performers were good, security and concession staff is nice. However, prices are outrageous on food, no listed prices for a reason...$26 for 2 regular sodas lightly carbonated with mega ice, and 2 not so great tasting thick mixed meat hotdogs. The show isn't 2 hours long, they start late, take a 20 minute intermission, and then finish early. Taking pictures with the person in the polar bear costume is not free. The kid that sat behind me got his fan that they sell caught in the crown of my hair twice, and I was bonked on the back of the head with the light saber during the show. They could do without selling those plastic fans, not fun when hair tangles in it! I would never want to go again. read more

They made our 80-year-old grandfather, who has trouble walking, let alone climbing steps, sit in the back row up eight steps that were horrible to climb. (He has a walker and we told the employee, so it wasn't as if they could not tell.) He managed to get up the steps, but in pain. If I could rate this less than one star, I would. read more
