She came out for a free consultation and after speaking with her, we decided to send Ziggy to her house for 2 weeks and then have follow up lessons. It was worth every single penny. Jillian offers payment plans, too! Jillian's training has been a god send for us. Ziggy listens to commands, follows direction and we have a completely new dog in our home. We no longer have to be afraid to walk her when other people are out, we don't have to crate her for guests to come over and our lives are much less stressed. He was very inconsistent in following commands and we were always scared he would dart out the door to chase the rabbits in our yard. We were never able to bring Kane out with us for fear that he would attack someone. We were resigned to the fact that our dog was just always going to be like this. All of those worries are now totally behind us. Kane is a totally different dog. He is eager to follow commands and is no longer aggressive towards dogs or people. Last night he was in our yard with 4 kids petting him and he calmly sat in the grass and enjoyed the love. The transformation has been incredible and everyone who sees the progress Kane has made has the same jaw dropping reaction. It is unbelievable and such a dream to have Kane reach his potential like this. Jillian is kind and incredibly professional. She does everything she can to help you and your dog be successful. I signed up for puppy classes…read more(listed on the website as for 6 months and under) and attended the class with my 12 week old puppy. For some reason, there was an 8 month old dog in attendance to the class as well. When the puppies had "play time" off lead, the 8 month old dog proceeded to pounce on the puppies (not just mine) to the point that the screamed and ran under the bench where I was sitting. He was scared to really come out from under the bench after that. Later in the class, the dog came to sniff my pup, and then proceeded to try to get under the bench to him, with her hair raised and growling, and I had to grab her and throw her back. All the while the trainer and the owner, did nothing. Come to find out, this dog had been "trained" in a previous class at Keystone. Doesn't speak volumes for the training she received. Brought this to the attention of the owner, Erin, and while being apologetic for this; she refused to give me a full refund. Apparently the rules only apply when it comes to getting her money; not the fact that she let an older dog participate in a puppy class making it a bad experience for my dog. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

My dog, Koa is a year old Belgian Malinois but unfortunately was not trained. She was rehomed to me. I desperately needed obedience training. James shared pictures and videos with me of the whole journey since I lived 3 1/2 hours away. I had no reservations about leaving her with him. I doubt she wanted to leave him to come home! This will probably not be the only training she will get from James. He's very open to this being a great experience for you and your dog. Controlled K9 came to our home to evaluate her and recommended a four week board and train to work on basic obedience, leash manners, and off leash recall. We loved that she was taken in as a member of the family during her "boarding school," and they provided regular photos and updates on her progress throughout. She returned to us her same happy, sweet self in the house, but basically a new dog on leash! He's very sweet but started to get rambunctious to the point that my remote work felt challenging. He also started jumping or freezing when he saw other dogs on walks, and he occasionally barked or growled and men. We weren't sure if it was the start of aggressive behavior or just the result of a shelter dog that hasn't been exposed. After doing our research, we decided to do the 3 week behavior modification board and train program. We were really impressed from beginning to end. They shared a ton of information upfront, walked us through their facility (we opted to drop him off) and sent pictures and updates every evening. It became clear right away that they both have a very deep understanding of dogs, as well as a real respect and love for them. Tuck loved them! The best part was the "transition" day when Perry brought Tuck back and spent the day teaching us everything they've worked on together. We are first time dog owners so generally going in pretty blind. Perry gave us a 101 on dogs and the importance of clear and consistent communication. He talked through all of the layers of training and how/why it is effective. We felt this part was SO helpful for us to understand how to be better owners. Then we walked Tuck around the neighborhood with Perry guiding us and then spent time addressing indoor behaviors too. He was flexible and stayed until we felt comfortable with everything.
