I have bought and had installed 4 TV's from these guys since 2013. Every one has been delivered as promised and professionally installed. 2 days ago ( Sunday night) our 12 year old TV went blank ( original cost less than $200). I called them on Monday to discuss my options regarding size, the wall mount and brand. We were not sure the old mount would fit so they agreed to bring a new mount with them "just in case". The new TV was delivered on Tuesday before noon and installed within 15 minutes. The old mount worked just fine. The two young men who did the installed were patient and professional. They installed the unit and insured everything was working before leaving. This place is a class act. read more

I'm tired of people accusing Flint of the whole "nude photos" thing when ALL charges were dropped in the end, with the judge essentially calling those charges ridiculous and entirely unsupported. People flamed Flint for accusations without due process. That's not what America and our Constitution is about. Those accusations turned out to be essentially baseless, yet none of the flame throwing reviewers on here bothered to update their reviews That says a lot more about those people than it says about Flint. I've been doing business with them for decades, beginning with Gary in 1992. (They know me by my real name, first name is Bob.) Are they perfect? No. Then again, who or what is? My only real complaint is that they're not very open to accepting returns on products that simply don't work from the factory. There is always some fallout rate with any product; smart and knowledgeable customers with engineering degrees who've spent hours deeply troubleshooting the problem shouldn't be blamed for that. Regardless of that, I continue to highly recommend Flint and generally enjoy doing business with the Gagnes (both Gary and his son, Sean, who acquired the business with a partner in January '24). Summarily, disregard EVERY review on here that centers around charges that were subsequently dropped in their entirety before any trial even began. read more

Bought a 19" tv, which was presented to me in a box indicating it was a larger size -- explained to me that this was the way it came from the factory -- took it home, tried to set it up and discovered the following: Parts were missing, called them back and they said I could come and get or they would deliver at a later time. Needed it, so went back and picked it up myself. Tried to register the warranty on-line and found out that it had already been registered. Called them back (AGAIN) and they finally admitted that they had sold me a slightly-USED item (numerous of this particular model to a local motel who then upgraded to a 24" (thus explaining the "box" and registration issues). Their response to me was that they would provide the same warranty as the manufacturer, but no apology for the deceit. All those that I know of who have done business with Flint have nothing but rave reviews, but I feel that there is a level of dishonesty that needs to be addressed. read more

I called the store about my laptop and they said to bring it in. The next day it was brought in and they say it is a $75 nonrefundable fee, which was never mentioned when I initially called, and their estimate was an outrageous $500...which is worth more than the laptop itself. read more

Brought our daughters apple phone to have battery replaced since they were a premium provider for apple. From the start service was poor, first of all at no time did we actually talk to a technician, they failed to call us when they said they would. Also stated poor battery quality was due to her phone using beta program for apple and replacing battery would not make a difference. Picked up phone price quoted was wrong cost more and when I asked they said they didn't know why. Had the phone back for over 24 hours and the battery is working properly and she is still running the beta. read more

Flint did a great job with my macbook. I brought it in and the next day I got it back. I was so happy with Flint that I brought my iphone in when I broke it. They told me it would most likely take a day. They said the most it would take would be two days. I am still without a phone and it has been over a week now. Will NEVER bring an iphone back to flint. I have been without a phone for over a week. A lot of my business is through my phone and I have lost lots because of this. NEVER AGAIN BRINGING TO FLINT. read more

In searching for a smart TV came to Flint. Felt I needed professional help to set it up. I had looked at the big box electronic dealer and had some models and prices in mind. They only "carried" one brand I was interested in in the size I needed and said they could not order the size I wanted in another brand, even though they were a dealer. I had come to Flint for their claim of "Unmatched Service, Competitively Priced." When I commented that the one model they choose to offer seem rather high priced, they asked where I had seen a lower price and I told them. I expected the young woman to talk about service. Instead she told me that the big box store "orders in bulk" and that the manufacturers make "cheaper" version of the same model for them using "lots of plastic parts." Sorry Flint, I don't buy it. I was in a bind to hook up a computer enet bridge, and needed a 5 VDC supply with mini 2.5 mm plus center negative case connector. Staples had none, and I needed one that day as I was helping my daughter to get her computer running after a move. Although their main business is high end audio/visual equipment and consulting, they maintain a stash of left over parts, and Erika and her boss looked through the bins, found one, and just gave it to me no charge. Horrible Customer Service!!!!!! I went in today 5/7/14 @ 1 to ask some questions about the MacBook Pro as my current computer is running Windows XP and as support for this OS has ended was interested in upgrading. Salesperson seemed as if could not be bothered, had an "important" phone call and when he found out I was not buying today had no time and was more interested in selling an adapter to another customer than answering any other questions. While I live on the island and try to support the local businesses....Flint has lost a previous loyal customer. Similar to my experience at Clare Jeep last year when buying a Wrangler who also lost my business as bought elsewhere. I have been involved in the yachting industry in this town for over 20 years and the customer service when looking to buy a $1,000+ item was poor to say the least. Though I quietly walked out, as I was leaving another employee entering the store did not have common courtesy to do a normal door hand-off. read more

Amazing service. I found out about the iPhone battery recall through Facebook and contacted Flint about providing service. They put me on the waiting list (as they were waiting for another shipment from Apple) in the morning and by the afternoon, Matt called me to let me know they had a battery set aside for my phone. I arrived the next morning and they changed the battery in less than an hour. Prompt, courteous service. I've bought several Apple items from the South County location and the techs there are also very knowledgeable. I would recommend highly to anyone. NEVER GO TO GET YOUR MACBOOK FIXED HERE!!! First of all I went to get just a new screen because mine cracked and they messed up three other internal parts. They went through all of my stuff on my MacBook and it took weeks to fix. Not only this but I got no discount and had to pay full price even though they broke three other parts. And my MacBook is now missing screws to the back and nothing was screwed in tight or properly. A bunch of LAZY DUMB WORKERS ! They have no idea how to properly fix laptops I suggest going to Apply. read more

All I can say is wow, amazing customer service. My Macbook died at Block Island. I dropped it off at Flint for a warranty repair when I reached Newport. I continued sailing to Warwick and one of the Flint guys who lives in Warwick dropped it off at the marina for me. Every step of the way they called and provided status updates so I was never in the dark. I haven't seen this level of service in ages! Bravo! read more

I bought a top of the line Yamaha receiver the salesperson said was BLUETOOTH and I paid 45.00 extra for delivery and setup. Someone showed up at my home without notice a few days later in a big hurry to leave. He hooked up the receiver and explained to me it was not true Bluetooth and I needed to load an IPAD app to set up the stereo. These people are great as long as you are spending a lot of money but if you are an average consumer needing help, not the best. I still have not set up the receiver as I cannot match up the app. read more
