Great facility, very knowledgeable staff. Very safe and fun environment. They offer a vast variety of classes and the place can even be rented for birthday parties!

If you are looking for a studio that has the total package this is it. My daughter has been attending classes for a year now and loves it. There is always something new to learn no matter your age or skill level. The teachers are amazing and always put safety first. I especially love that the silks and mats are always clean!!

Founder, mother, divine warrior, and artist designed this barn to be a sanctuary for those looking to enter a space to let go of tension and get to know themselves through the science and art of yoga. Michelle is by far of the most impactful teachers that I have ever had the honor of learning from. Shes a waterfall of pure esctatic enthusiasm and charisma. She expresses herself fully and will have you laughing and giggling the entire class. She inspire you by her example of strength and flexibility. She will push you to your limits yet also find spaces for surrender and softness. Her bootcamp is also a very special experience. Where she guides you through a sacred time in the early mornings to build your core, dance, be silly, and release any tension that may still be stored in our bodies. I love the art of this space. I love the community and powerful individuals that i have had the honor of practicing yoga within this community. All of the other teachers I experienced in this beautiful barn were professional, welcoming, and unique. If you are ever in need of some guidance and connection to powerful individuals, feel free to stop by this sacred place of yoga.

We stood in front of her tent for over 20 minutes with zero acknowledgment ( while she was working on another girl but holding conversations with other adults). I was ready to leave my daughter begged to stay. I took a picture of her Venmo and left my daughter there with a friend while I occupied my son. My daughter said she when it was her turn she was rude, didn't talk to her and when she asked the price she said "what do you want to pay? How much do you have?" She's 13. Absolutely inappropriate. For someone who's supposed to be so "zen" , she's not.

Ananda Ashram has given me and so many others a sanctuary of hope, faith, and love. Ananda Ashram…read morehas been a beacon of light since 1964 - helping people realize their true nature, find peace and strength within, and cultivate compassion for each other and all living beings - and I think especially during COVID we've seen that we need a little bit more of that in this world. Every time I visit Ananda Ashram I immediately feel at peace, at home. The energy is just indescribable and the people are just the most humble and kind people you'll ever meet. And the food is heavenly. If you need a place to recharge and reconnect, look no further (and it's only 1 hour from NYC)!!!

Words can't describe how ingenuine people truly are at Ananda Ashram, but I'll try to in a nutshell…read moredescribe this kind of experience. Ananda meaning Bliss, does not live up to it's name. At one point in time, it might have. That had to be about twenty or more years ago, when the founder was still alive. His teachings were powerful, thought provoking, but alas his followers, staff, and others that continue to support his image being portrayed alike to a Cult Leader are spiritually devoid and lost in themselves doing so... The grounds are beautifully preserved, with a nice community garden. Hit or miss, sums it up for the cleanliness of the entire place, especially the bathrooms. Even their most expensive room offerings are lackluster, with stained linens and sheets covered with dust. Alas, the property has it's history, and it's longtime followers. The yoga studio for what it's worth needs a MAJOR upgrade. For this place to be called, "The Yoga Society of New York," the actual yoga studio is less than impressive. On top of it's hospitality instability, (good luck getting help checking in when their office is closed), the long time followers/staff can be seen bickering and exhibiting quite strange personal dynamics. This is actually what I observed more than occasionally, and experienced interpersonally, during my few solid weeks stay there. Things of this nature absolutely do not lend towards the courtesy for guests, human beings, or even provide a genuine yogic experience for their visitors! By the way, if you're a halfway decent youngish looking woman, be prepared to be suggestively and explicitly bothered by the creepy male manager there. He's beyond what anyone can call appropriate with his social antics ... On another Note, Need extra towels? Forget about it! Good coffee, nope! Fake smiles, got those! Bugs in the sheets? Yep, them too. And last but not least, Actual Covid- Positive yoga teachers still teaching with Covid... This is Real Truth, Not lies. Not sure if this aptly describes YOUR version of "Bliss"... but if it does Merriam Webster will need an update on the definition stat!! You're better off at Omega, Om Shanti.

I would highly recommend Studio Vitality to anyone looking for a place to get healthy and have fun.

I started practicing yoga 2 and half years ago in Sparta and tried half dozen of different places from one in Whippany to Wantage to Roxbury, etc. I am so glad to find this place and settled myself to practice yoga on a daily basis. I like all of the instructors in this place. The owner, Dana is very knowledgeable instructor for her class and very considerate to students. I also love challenging Claudia's class which sometimes reminds me of "boot camp" style. :) The fairly new instructor Laura's teaching style, the Ashitanga Vinyasa style is fasnating, too. I always wanted to learn to practice that style of yoga ever since I started yoga. I also love Lauren's class and Amanda's. They are all very professional and knowledgeable. I have been enjoying so much practicing yoga there. Keep it up, Dana!!!
