Amazing pastries! Service was great. The owner is lovely and polite. Ambiance, it was busy today. Hadn't been in before on a Saturday. Space to sit, seemed too lively for me. Needed somewhere more quiet today.

    Almond croissant: sooooo good

Fresh, flaky croissants - definitely the best thing there. It's authentic French staff who holler at each other in French. Workers and bosses not always wearing their masks properly. Call ahead to reserve your treat as they often sell out throughout the day. Lovely shady patio. A gem

Came in with about half an hour left until closing for a quick bite. End of day selection was limited as expected, but quality was still on point. Whoever was behind the counter (didn't get her name) was really patient with me, I didn't feel rushed at all. Would love to come back to try the other items. Can't remember the name, but I got the croissant with brie and prosciutto. The croissant itself was wonderfully crisp, flakey and chewy all at the same time. Definitely recommend giving it a try!

This place will ruin all other bakeries in the area. The pastries are croissants are incredible.

This quaint little French patisserie was recently opened by a nice couple who lived in France for many years. Upon walking in I was greeted by the the wife who was happy to walk me through the selection of little cakes and pastries that they offer. She explained that her husband was trained as a pastry chef in France. When I arrived at 4:30pm, they had a limited selection of cakes and an even more limited selection of croissants. I opted to purchase the Rocher (similar in appearance to a Ferraro Rocher except made with almonds), the donut tatin (a beautiful pastry that looks like a donut with a gorgeous caramel glaze and apples and pastry crust inside), a passion fruit cheesecake (one of the gluten free options), and a butter croissant. The donut tatin had a nice crunchy pastry crust and apple filling. However I found it much too sweet for my palate. Perhaps if less caramel was used or the white chocolate stripe around the finished pastry was eliminated, this would be a better in my opinion. The passion fruit cheesecake had a lightly sweet, milk chocolate and crispy rice cereal base, a tart passion fruit gelee centre, and a creamy cheesecake dome with a generous drizzle of the same passion fruit gelee. Although also on the sweet side, I appreciated the tartness of the fruit flavour which helped balance the creaminess and crunchiness found in the various components of the cheesecake. The butter croissant was light, flaky and delicious. Sadly I was looking forward to trying their almond croissant. Although I didn't get to taste the Rocher, my in laws tell me it had a similar puffed rice/chocolate base with a chocolate and mocha mousse that was overall less sweet than the donut tatin. The cafe seats 11 people (including 3 child sized chairs at a children's sized table). While it lacks the polished packaging of other established bakeries and lacks the wow factor in physical space, the pastries and cakes stand up in terms of appearance and flavour. I also appreciate the gluten free options (which seems atypical for a French patisserie) and the focus on seasonal type ingredients whenever available. On weekends they carry savoury pastries and a limited selection of full sized cakes. I will definitely be back as it's only slightly off my home bound route from work, as I'm very interested in trying their almond croissant. 3.75 stars

    Apple turnover-like pastry

Came for dessert after lunch around 1 pm. The display initially looked disappointing- there was not much selection left of anything. It seems we came in between waves of pastries coming from the oven. Soon the empty shelves made sense. The dark chocolate pastry was extremely decadent with a gooey orange jam center. The dark chocolate mousse had some cake base that was pretty sweet but not overpowering. If you love dark chocolate and citrus together, this is the pastry to get. The apple tart was equally amazing. I could eat the dough alone. I was so amazed I purchased the last apple tart for later along with the apple turnover pastry and an almond croissant. The lady at the front was extremely patient and answered all of our questions. I can't wait to return, I just gotta come earlier when everything wasn't sold out. Prices I thought were high but after tasting the first bite, it was well worth it.

My morning haul in their cute little bags

The galette is also fantastic although beware they are authentic and use almond filling - not apple.

Pandesal, cake slices, coffee, cookies, cheesecakes, and a small select option of savoury food as well. For baked goods I walked out with: - Ube cheesecake: it was moist, Ube packed flavour with a hint of creaminess from the cheese. Enjoyed it. And read good reviews about it prior to ordering it so that's why I chose it :) - Ube crinkle cookies: a basic Ube crinkle cookie, not too sweet (which is great) and powdered with sugar on the outside. Ube flavour is mild not too overpowering, moist and fluffy cookie. Would recommend as well! - Spicy chicken empanada- buttery crust, soft and falls apart because the crust is so buttery!! Stuffing was generous, chicken flavourful but I didn't find the inside spicy. One is enough for one sitting. I would like to try other flavours as well. Service - friendly. Fast. Efficient. $$- I would say some of the items are quite pricey for what you get e.g. turon for $5, cake + coffee slice for $10-12, I think that I've found other bakeries to be a little more cost friendly. But assuming because this one is more franchised, Perhaps why prices are higher (?) Would overall recommend this place especially if you'd like to share Filipino sweets culture/food. They do sell cakes and party platters of desserts which is also a bonus. Would recommend to try!

The aesthetic and the attention to detail when it comes to these desserts flawless, and exceptional. I enjoyed every single bite of my dessert. It was fluffy and it melted in my mouth, and I wish I could just eat my screen right now just looking at it lol. For drinks, we got hot chocolates, and they had one of the best hot chocolates I've ever tasted, and I'm not exaggerating. It was the perfect drink and taste to eat my dessert. Location: The location is very pretty, but it's pretty casual. The seating is pretty close to other guests in the restaurant or tables of two if I'm not mistaken. This is a perfect place to go with friends or family or on a quick date or by yourself. This place looked like it was located on a main street with street parking, but because I was visiting in Toronto, I'm not sure how the parking works as we took Uber. Service: The service was great, and they were very friendly and answered any questions regarding the desserts on display to help us pick the perfect one for ourselves. They also brought the food to our table, including the drinks. I 100% would go back to this location.

They have introduced a high-end gourmet macaron with their iconic logo on it. It is called Eugenie, named after Empress Eugenie, patron of the arts. There are only 8 iconic flavours: Chocolate, Vanilla, Pistachio, Caramel, Rose, Orange Blossom, Blackcurrant Violette, and Marie Antoinette tea. Eugénie is an unexpected marriage of textures, with a crunchy biscuit, a melting heart and a crunchy chocolate coating. This Union Station location is only a kiosk, rather than a full patisserie. It opened in Oct 2024. They thought they were only going to be there until Feb 2025, but as of 2025-06-23, they are still there. It is opposite Union Samples. They mostly sell macarons ($4.50 each!) here, but there are also a few bottled drinks, chocolate bars, gift boxes, yule logs, and gift cards. The customer service was good. Louis-Ernest Ladurée was the founder of Ladurée in 1862. There is free WiFi from Union Station. The kiosk is wheelchair accessible. There are washrooms in Union Station. These things are five bucks each (!) but I can't deny that they're completely delicious. The ones we ate were very fresh and packed with flavor. Even though I gobbled it up in about two bites, I didn't regret the cost at all. This is top tier stuff.

A lot of times when we try a sweet shop/pastry place the products are filled with sugar however Asters have found a balance and know how to prepare their stuff. Pastries: If you like chocolate - try the double chocolate cake (it's in the picture, I don't recall the correct name) this is chocolaty, not too sweet, soft but not too soft. If you like mousse, & pistachios - try the pastry on the right from the picture. It is crunchy from the outside, 2nd layer is soft (mousse) and the last layer is nuts/pistachio. If you like Mango (desis you must try this) have their mango sweet which is not in the picture but it's their best seller. It is amazing! Drinks: The mango matcha - again if you like mango, & matcha have this you won't regret it. Mix it properly and enjoy the distinct flavours of both (matcha and mango) it is slightly on a sweeter side though. The barista seems experienced based on the milk texture and the art of the latte. Kudos They have limited dining space so take note of that however there is a huge foodcourt so you can go there. You should also take note of the prices on the pastries, the small double chocolate cake was 10$ however it is clear that they are serving good quality stuff.
