This is a great flower shop. I've had two experiences with them and both have been amazing. Recently, I needed to pick up a bouquet for a picky grandmother's birthday and the florist was so helpful. We set a dollar amount for the bunch of flowers and she picked a great arrangement. The flowers were fresh, unique, and aromatic. In addition, my husband proposed with flowers from Fleur and he was so impressed with the way that they were able to help him pick out the perfect flowers for the occasion. Great staff, great selection of fresh flowers, other great gift items, and not a carnation in sight. My type of florist! read more

I had been meaning to stop by Fleur for some time- I'm always on the market for house plants, and sometimes it's hard to justify the schlep to Sprout. I finally made it by this morning, and was dismayed by the complete and total lack of service I received. I showed up 5-10 minutes after they opened, and there were 2 or 3 other customers milling around the shop who left before I did. I was never greeted- and that's fine, I understand that boutiques with small staffs don't have designated greeters -but for the next 10 minutes that I was in the store my presence was never acknowledged. Not while checking prices, or looking fresh cut stems, or browsing pots. I had gone in today with intent to purchase both a plant and a pot for it, but being ignored took the wind out of my sails, and I left. I may give them another chance on an even slower day, but it was not a great experience. read more

Lemme start this review about Fleur with a fact about myself: I'm super allergic to lots of flowers and things. Also I don't really know what I'm allergic to. I just know it when I smell it. Lemme build on that with an even more important fact: Working with Kelly and the Fleur team was a wonderful experience, and they made our wedding so.damn.beautiful all the while ensuring that my tongue didn't swell up to the size of a balloon [That would have made for quite the party]. In sum, Kelly and the Fleur team nailed everything about our aesthetic to make our wedding look and feel like us as expressed through flowers, tablescapes and statement pieces [This is not a sentence I ever thought I would write. But I did. Fleur is just THAT good!] So our first meeting with Fleur started out something like this: [Kelly]: What kind of flowers do you like? [Us]:.....Ummm.....Pretty ones? [Kelly]: Ok, good answer. What kind of colors do you like in your flowers? [Us]:.....Ummm.....Blue? [Kelly]: So that's not actually a color found in flowers, but what a great start! How would you describe your overall style and aesthetic? [Wife]: ....Rustic [Me]: ....Architectural [Kelly]: Awesome! (Unclear if this was an authentic "Awesome") So as you can see, we clearly knew exactly what we wanted. And had lots of ideas. About stuff. And things. And decor. And flowers. Oh did I mention that I'm allergic to things that are found in nature? Kelly worked with us to help us identify the perfect look. Mostly this involved me smelling things at a 5', 3', 1' interval to assess allergy level and looking at pictures in books and saying "Yay" or "Boo". to certain looks. From all of that helpful information that we provided the team was able to deliver amazing table arrangements and flowers at our wedding that were so beautiful that even our wedding coordinator, who must see a Hollandful of Flowers [Term of measurement for amount of flowers] on a weekly basis, took some home to put on her dining room table. Additionally the team also created two statement pieces, an alter with birch branches and hanging candles + a rustic display of table seating assignments that were so good our photographer switched up locations for formal shots. Basically working with Kelly was like working with a mind reader -- she was able to deliver exactly what we wanted out of decor. I cannot say enough about the team and their work. I think the best complement we got was "Oooooh, the pretty! I can't believe the pretty!" Thanks Kelly, you left our normally overly verbose friends too stunned to speak. Bottom Line: Hire these guys to turn your crappily articulated vision into something truly amazing and beautiful. I have tried going in here on two occasions, and not only was ignored upon entering, but the employees were rude to me and my friends. It's a shame. I really wanted to give this local small business some love, but the customer service was so off-putting that I both my friends and I refused to buy anything. Choosing a floral vendor for our wedding was initially one of the most difficult decisions we had because I knew that our florist would be 90% of the decor at our venue. i contacted fleur on a tuesday afternoon needing potted plants for our office - and needed them ready for pick-up friday morning. i sent jennifer some photos, vague wants/needs and an even vaguer budget - she was so helpful! jennifer sent me a vision board of office-friendly plants to make sure she was on the right track, took my aesthetic details into account and turned around an invoice that was within my budget by thursday morning, with plants potted and ready shortly after opening on friday morning. they were perfect and just what we needed for the space! highly recommend contacting fleur for this kind of service, especially if you have no idea what you need - they will make the decisions for you! i'll be back for more soon. read more

We were recommended to Fleur by our venue for our daughter's wedding. We met Jen at her adorable shop. She walked us thru the process, as most planning is done online. The wedding was a small affair, and we wanted simple, tasteful arrangements for the ceremony and dinner. Fleur did an excellent job. The colors and flower selections were beautiful and just what we envisioned. The arrangements were so fresh, fragrant, modern and perfect. Ordered a bouquet at 2pm for 5pm pick up. Got there at 5:05 and they hadn't even started putting it together. No other customers were in the store so I assume they were not busy with other orders. Waited 10 min while the girl grabbed about 7 stems then disappeared to the back. When she reappeared she didn't add any more flowers. The bouquet consisted of 7 flowers and 2 leafy stems. $25 + tax. The best part is that not even 4 days later, the flowers are dead. Save your money, go to the LS farmers market or Mariano's, you'll get more flowers that last longer for a third of the price. read more

We used Fleur as our florist for our wedding. Janessa was amazing! The centerpieces at our wedding were unique and her vision for our event was on point! She also did a great job with accents around the room- tons of candles and succulents/ air plants. Janessa reused our ceremony pieces as centerpieces and then we kept the centerpieces for brunch the next day. She did a great job blending my vision with my mothers vision (not an easy task). I've stopped at Fleur several times since they moved, and I've always found something worth picking up, either for myself or as a gift. They have a nice, diverse selection of decorative arts, home goods, body care, and of course, fresh flowers. Fleur's selection of fresh cut flowers can be limited, but all that tells you is that they pick the best and freshest available. I went in to get my partner a bouquet for our anniversary, and they put together a breathtaking, creative arrangement that really thrilled her, and lasted a good long time. Fleur isn't cheap, but you're absolutely getting the quality that you pay for, and they take their time to make sure everything is right. We went with Fleur for our wedding this past June and we're absolutely blown away by everything we got. The centerpieces were beautiful and luscious. The cocktail arrangements (succulents) tied the perfect Arizona flare to a Chicago wedding. The custom copper piping ceremony arch was everything we dreamed of. The escort card display was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen- amazing greenery and accent flowers to die for. Kelly was so friendly, sweet, and attentive to all of our ideas and created something more than we ever could have imagined given our inspiration. They were great at communication, as we did almost all of our meetings via Skype or phone conference or email since we were long distance (Phoenix-Chicago) and we never had an issue wit that. We wanted to go with local vendors for all our wedding and we wanted something unique, personal, and unforgettable and Fleur did not disappoint. Katie and her team were a dream to work with! I am so thankful that they helped make our wedding day what it was. I met with other florists who were bossy and trying to get more out of me then I wanted to spend. When I met with Katie she did none of that! Fleur was so inviting and gracious. She let me explain my vision and helped me find a way to make it happen, under budget! I do not know anything about flowers so she educated me on what would and would not work, and what we could use to achieve the vision. They make beautiful arrangements that are completely wilted and sad within 48 hours. I wouldn't leave this review but my birthday was the fourth arrangement my husband has ordered in a row that was dead and wilted two days from arrival. I am trying to think of a nice way to tell my husband to stop ordering flowers from them, they're so expensive and so beautiful when they arrive, but it seems like such a waste. They never last more than two days. The shop is beautiful, I only wish they took better care of their flowers so that we got a better product. read more

So disappointed, I have ordered exclusively from fleur the last 3+ years for every Valentine's Day, Birthday, Anniversary and for no reason at all for my fiancé. And as she has always said our dream wedding day will be done by Fleur, I'm sorry to say this will be no longer the case. The absolute brush off from the person on the phone from my call when there was no flowers delivered when I got home at 6:30pm. As I was told there was a little snafu with the service and the flowers would be delivered by 7:45 pm. I ask you all the point of having flowers delivered on your birth"day" not birth"night" is unacceptable. The only solution they offered was we'll deliver to the restaurant. When I said no thank you and cancel the order they still had the nerve to try and deliver the flowers which only convinced me further that they forgot to make the flowers in the first place! I live in Los Angeles and my son was getting engaged last weekend in Chicago.My charge was to find a florist to get tons of roses, rose petals, arrangements, etc. to decorate their condo so that when he brought her back, it was all done up with flowers and fairy lights. Jennifer Page was amazing, totally understood what we were going for with gorgeous beige, pale pink and off white roses and had everything ready for pick up, all packaged perfectly. I told her that I had chosen the shop on the recommendation of Goop...but didn't tell her I was a friend of Gwyneth. I was treated so beautifully, just as if I was anyone that walked into the shop and truly don't understand how anyone in the reviews could possibly feel that anyone here was ever rude. Picking Fleur for our wedding was one of the best decisions I made. Not only did they take the random ideas and visions I had in my head and make them a reality, but they created things I didn't even know I wanted. Kelly was a dream to work with, so kind, creative, and organized; three very important things to be during wedding planning!
