This company is unfortunately a disappointment. We had storm damage to a tree in our yard, and I…read morecalled and asked for an estimate on the removal of this and another dying tree. The damaged tree is hanging by a thread, and it can kill someone if it falls. They came out and did an estimate on the wrong tree (the neighbor's tree that was already on the ground). Errors happen, as we are all human. I quickly called and emailed them, asking them to please correct their error. They claimed that I had said something about "a tree on the ground" in my initial discussion. This was not the case. They did not reply for an entire week, until finally sending me an email saying that the "schedule is full for the season" and they won't be able to do this work. So, they gave an estimate, but when they realized they made an error, they no longer wanted the job. Not a great look. I'm very frustrated, as I was hoping to establish a longterm business relationship with them for landscaping services. Bummer. Don't bother calling them.

I contacted the group for replacement and planting of shrubbery in our front yard this year, and…read morealso had planned to replace 5 junipers and 2 mini arbovitae next summer. An estimator came out and a contract was sent via email. I sent an email to the estimator and the office if a tree could be substituted for 2 of the shrubs. Did not hear back from the estimator, but the office informed me : "Thank you for reaching out. At this time, we will not be moving forward on this project because our schedule is fully booked." When I inquired as to why they sent out an estimator and a contract but did not intend to complete the job, this was the response :" The decision was made after evaluating the project and determining that it was a bit small scale for our team." So unless you need a complete rehaul of your outdoor space, I would not waste your time, and apparently, theirs, by contacting this group. I needed someone to remove an old tree on the edge of my yard and my neighbor's. Fortunately , I…read morestarted by reading reviews on Google AND the BBB. (I highly suggest that you do the same). My son recommended Kustom Trim because of his good experience with them. I saw that they have great reviews everywhere. Not all tree services have good reviews- so do your homework! I wanted the tree and stump gone, no roots left, and stump grindings removed. We also wanted new topsoil there, grass planted, and a smaller decorative tree in that spot. Guess what? Not all tree companies will do all of that. In fact, the company that has trimmed that tree for years wouldn't even haul away the stump grindings, telling me that they don't have the time for it! -I certainly couldn't manage to do that stuff at my age. Fortunately, Kustom Trim does it all, and their price was the best I found for a reliable company. Owner Travis Kernik was friendly and accommodating, and his workers were meticulous in caring for my yard and my neighbor's. They raked and vacuumed up every last twig, and not one extra gouge could be found in the lawn. My neighbor's nearby garage was untouched. All surface roots were removed. Then, after a few Spring rains settled the ground, they returned to add new soil, planted the new tree and new grass. Every last employee was helpful and careful. Only when everything was completed and perfect did I get a bill in the mail. I was really worried that this project would be ridiculously expensive and would require work that I'm physically unable to do right now. Turns out that all I had to do was make a phone call, then write a check after the job was done flawlessly. And the price was very reasonable. I thought service like this was a dead art... wrong! These pros know what they are doing, and they get it right.
