I stopped in after work for a new pair of running shoes. The ones I've been wearing are about a year past their prime. When you first walk in the store can be a bit overwhelming but the staff is so knowledgeable you won't be feeling that for long. I was given one on one time and an opportunity to address any issues I had with my current running shoes and exactly what I was lookin for in my new pair. Absolutely amazing! I went in today to see about getting some new shoes. Jason promptly welcomed me and asked how he could help. He could immediately tell by my stance I was in the wrong shoes. He scanned my feet and gave me all the information it revealed. He then proceeded to bring tons of options to see what might be the absolute best fit for me. After we tried 4-5 pairs we found the perfect pair. I was able to go exercise today for the first time in over a year without having major pains. I ended up walking a 5k. What a wonderful experience we had at Fleet Feet in Savannah! We were out of town visitors needing some new running shoes to do our daily runs in Savannah, and the staff helped with scanning our feet and ensuring an absolutely perfect fit for all of our party!! Their knowledge of each shoe brand and style is incredible. I was so grateful for their attention to detail when fitting each person for their shoes. They picked out a suitable style to fit each persons needs AND style! On top of the amazing shoe recommendations, they were just great people to chat with too! Offering suggestions on fun things to do and see while in Savannah was another example of their fantastic employees going above and beyond for us. Fleet Feet is a serious runners' store, carrying mainly running shoes and a small selection of running clothing for men and women. Like most core running stores, they're up on new technology and area races alike. While mall stores like Champs and Finish Line have become mainly about selling kicks to trendy teens, Fleet Feet deals in mostly Mizuno, Asics, and Brooks: the three brands most serious runners tend to love (much to the chagrin of Nike, I am sure). What Fleet Feet stresses is that their staff are experts on running and running shoes and thus will have the expertise and take the time to provide customers with a proper fit. In my own case, I pretty much knew what I wanted and needed from Fleet Feet, so they didn't have much work to do. They nearly seemed disappointed. That said, they were able to do two things I really loved: they ordered me a pair of Asics track flats I couldn't find elsewhere and, when they didn't fit (remember, they were ordered so I was unsure on the size) they sent 'em back and got the next size down which worked perfectly. Secondly, they had two pairs of Minuzos I wanted and which are kind of hard to find . . . with a brand like Mizuno no matter where you go, often you'll only encounter the most popular models. The Elixir model I wanted no one else had, but Fleet Feet did. I have no complaints at all with these people . . . I think they would be better off at a different location, but even on that I could be wrong. Apparently Savannah's runners have found them and things are working out fine. read more

I don't know if I'm qualified to write a review for this place since I only came here to pick up my color run packet... but I'm writing this anyway because I did visit and it's good for future Color Run tourists to know. It's a bit out of the way for tourists. We were lucky to have a car. Prepare to walk quite a bit if you're on vacation in Savannah and any future Color Run pickups are in this location. Store is on the smaller side, though all the booths for The Color Run could have affected my perception of the store's size. It was cramped because of everything inside. Perhaps on a normal day, it's not so bad? Staff were nowhere to be seen. My guess: they were avoiding the chaos of the run. Anyway, I glanced around both rooms and didn't see any items I would want to buy. Don't know if that says much about the store, or my tastes. This place is brightly lit and clean. If I was in the area again and needed to buy sports gear, I'd probably come back to check it out. read more

What a terrible experience I had with Fleet Feet Savannah. I went there having issues with my feet/running shoes hoping for a custom analysis (I did receive) of my feet and to be guided to sneakers that will fit without hurting. I was sold a pair of sneakers that not only hurt but could not be worn more than one time as a result. Taking them back to the store hoping to exchange for a larger size, I was told mine were on clearance and could not be exchanged as a result (which I was not made aware of). This was anything but a customer-centric experience, as Fleet Feet corporate would have you believe (who, interestingly enough, washed their hands of the situation entirely when contacted stating that their stores are franchise independent and they will contact the local store's Owner and ask them to follow up with me - which they did NOT)! We were in town for a race so we decided to stop by Fleet Feet for a visit. Wow, what a store! Loved the size of the store and the great selection. The staff was super helpful and I was able to get a new pair of shoes and inserts in no time flat. Even though there wasn't a ton of staff the afternoon we visited I still didn't have to wait long to be helped. Amazing!!!! "The Laurens" helped me out. There are two! ;-). When I first walked in I was greeted immediately by two very sweet girls. I was then escorted to the center of the store after I explained why I was there. I needed some good work out shoes and me being overweight this is always a touchy feat, no pun intended. I was NEVER treated differently because of my size and was immediately looked over by Lauren as she watched me walk and paid close attention to my gait and how my feet moved with my stride. She made me feel very comfortable and I was able to explain my situation and what my intentions were with my new shoes. She measured my feet and off she went to the back to then bring out 6-7 pairs of shoes. She explained a lot of foot/runner lingo and I kept up with most of it, not overwhelming at all and I was enlightened about a lot of important details pertaining to finding the right shoes. I was extremely impressed by the whole process!! They even brought my 9 year old daughter a mini bottled water and some fresh popped popcorn while she waited on us to get finished! How sweet!? Poor Lauren(petite dark hair) I even went back and forth between the last two pairs of shoes that I couldn't decide on, putting them both on probably three times each and walking around the store. She was so patient and kind with me. The whole time encouraging me to really pay attention to the relief of my pain in my left ankle(main reason I needed good shoes to begin with). Overall FIVE stars and honestly I will never buy shoes from another place again! This is my new go-to and I cannot WAIT to work out in the morning! read more

This is such a great store. I was impressed with the vast selection of women's apparel, socks and shoes they offered. Asics, Saucony, Mizuno, Brooks. I've always gone into a store and basically just picked random running shoes. The salesgirl (Jessica) noticed that I had no idea what I was doing, even though I was totally feigning that I was, but she approached me very professionally that she'd like just to watch me walk and to hook me up to a treadmill to see my stride. I'm so glad that I let my guard down and had her help! She brought out 4 different shoes, explained the construction of the shoe and how it would provide support for my feet. I was given the chance to walk around the store and run outside a bit too to test which shoe worked best for me. She was always patient, answered all of my questions clearly. She also recommended some socks that would support my high arches too, which have caused me a lot of problems. So let me start by saying I not only have a super narrow foot but I also wear a size 16 shoe. So naturally my 8 year old and 4 year old are the same. My 8 year olds foot was even collapsing inward on itself! we c me here and they were SOOOO good with children.
