Dick's Sporting Goods has a large variety of outdoor activity equipment ranging from Archery to Yachting. (I figure if they sell boating equipment, Yachting falls under that category. And I couldn't find any sports that started with Z) But recently I've been building a home gym and slowly acquiring equipment over time. Lately I've noticed an increase in the price of gym equipment. I remember when weights were typically less than a dollar a pound, but due to the gyms being closed for long periods of time, people started doing the home gym. Which is why a kettle bell is now at times $2.00 per pound. Dick's does a decent job in stocking and restocking their equipment, but at times they'll be out of stuff for a long time and they won't know if it's coming back or not. They do sell rifles here still, but from the company's future plans ... it looks like they're going to stop soon. read more

I was looking to replace a pair of Asics running / walking shoes on Sunday. Checked their web page for the type, size and width and the site indicated that they had a pair in stock. I get to the store and after searching for 15-20 minutes (even with the help of a sales rep), was unable to find the shoe that I was hoping to purchase. The sales rep offered to place an online order and have the shoes sent to my home. Checked the order confirmation on Monday and learned that the wrong color was ordered. Tried to correct this with their online "chat" rep and was told that I had to return the shoes at the store because time to cancel the order had lapsed (only 12 hours later). So the lesson is this - do not place an online order at the Savannah Dick's store because they will screw-up it up and place the burden on you to correct it. read more

Unfortunately they do not have it the store so he recommends buying online in store with free shipping:) We browsed different colors in the store computer and I found exactly what I wanted. This DICK'S has a good selection of Winter athletic gear and hunting apparel. I was able to pick up a great hunting bib for under $40. I was a little surprised this store didn't carry any ski/snowboard equipment but aside from that, the store seemed pretty well-stocked and organized. read more

I wish I knew the names of the two gentlemen who helped me today! Absolutely fantastic service. I had to return a product I purchased the day before, not because there was anything wrong with it, but because I unexpectedly received basically the same product from Amazon. (even though they said the delivery had failed and I wasn't going to receive it) the cashier was super nice and helpful and remembered me from the day before. I had lost my receipt and used Apple Pay and didn't have my phone number in the system. Even with the missing information he and another employee or manager were able to get me a full refund, and when the system tried to force them to give me my refund in the form of a in-store gift card, they cashed it out for me and gave me the refund right there in cash. Super friendly, super helpful, will definitely be back just because of the good service. read more

OMG they have their own line of clothing, DSG brand. The style is like the big name brands and super comfortable. It's also more forgiving than the big name brands when it comes to sizes. The customer service I received was great. I was greeted as soon as I stepped in the door. They also price match guarantee. I found the shoes I was looking for online for a little cheaper, got the same shoes at Dick's Sporting Goods for same price. The best thing is they give back to the community. I went online and applied for sponsorship for my 6u soccer team. Although it takes some time to go through, wish I had done it earlier. The cashier also told me about community grants that are given every year from their Youth Sports Matters Program. I would have given 4 stars, but it's not the stores fault that specialty items aren't in stock and must be bought online. read more

Went to get an item advertised as on special. Found out they were having a clearance sale. The sales people on the floor were helpful. Points out that items were actually reduced further. Another person made sure u was aware that a price that was posted had been reduced. That item ran up incorrectly but they were quick to correct the problem. read more

Could not find anyone to help in three different departments. I asked someone who finally came along what the price of the basketball goals were and they told me I think this one is 300 and I think this other one is 400 but I'm not sure. Then they walked away. The guy in fishing told me that the prices didn't matter as long as I bought 10 of something I was still going to get a good deal. What? Stay away from the store it's terrible. read more

I ordered a kayak online from Dick's. I soon found another I liked better and when I tried to cancel the order, well before it shipped by the way, I was told that the order was "locked" and that I would have to wait for it to be delivered and return it to the store for a refund. So, I did. I was refunded the price of the kayak, but not the shipping. Thus, I lost over $100. Was I angry? Yes! The manager stated that they had nothing to do with that. I told the manager that I would never shop there again to which he responded, "Please don't come back!". So, there you have it...customer support at it's best. read more

Stood in the shoe department for 30 minutes without any sight of an employee. There were at least 6 other people wandering around looking for help from employees. Once I found an employee it took him 10 minutes and 3 tries to find the shoes I was asking for. Makes you never want to bother buying over priced shoes if nobody is around to help. Thank god I didn't have questions, the employee seemed perplexed enough by the idea of doing his job. read more

And while I do not expect everyone to know all the items, it would be nice to either say that you don't vs. telling me: "it comes down to what I want".. Went in today to buy an advertised basketball goal. The store manager said that it wasn't on sale even though it still had the sale price posted and it was still a valid date. He tried to sell me another one at 200 dollars more!! He acted as if he could care less! Very poor customer service!! I even took a picture so l could forward it to the corporate office.
