The menu includes plenty of options, from tacos, burrito bowls, and quesadillas to traditional Colombian dishes like Bandeja Paisa and Chuleta Valluna. It's also more than a restaurant, with a market selling imported products, snacks, and treats, plus a selection of homemade frozen meals to take home. They also offer catering services for corporate events and family gatherings. They have their regular menu available everyday and their rotating specials over the weekends and holidays. They also have live music on Sundays, that creates a lively atmosphere. The owners are extremely nice and friendly and deeply care about providing guests with the best quality food and experience. We ordered "Posta Cartagenera", "Pescado Frito", "Beef Colombian Empanada", and "Pan de queso con guava" for lunch and paired our meal with fresh "Lulo" and "Mora Blackberry" for beverages. Everything was fresh and tasted flavourful and authentic. We finished on a sweet note with "Guava Cheese Bread Cake" paired with Columbian Coffee. And enjoyed every bite of our meal.

Today the staff were working extra hard and they were still super pleasant! The food was fresh and it satisfied our cravings for crunch! Would definitely come back again. The margarita was good. A cute casual spot with a nice patio in Hess Village, dog friendly and friendly service. Overall a solid experience, would return for a carnitas taco and marg on the patio if in the area.

The interior decor is charming, but the food is the real star. I ordered the Quesabirria (mine was without cheese), and it was phenomenal. The shredded meat was seasoned so good and it was so incredibly tender and flavorful. What elevated the dish even further was the accompanying consommé... ughhhh it was, without a doubt, the most flavorful consommé I have ever tasted. I also tried the plantain, and they were cooked to absolute perfection. Crispy edges and a tender, sweet interior. This is now my go to spot for authentic, high quality Mexican food! Thank you to the staff! 10/10

And I became even more excited when I discovered they were offering a massive breakfast plate called the Colombian Platter ("Grilled Steak, Pork Belly, Sausage, Rice, Fried egg, Avocado, Sweet Plantain, Beans"). I certainly can't resist a concoction with that much meat, and the Colombian Platter didn't disappoint in the slightest. Everything is prepared really well, and individually each item works really well. But the dish really sings once you start eating everything together, along with the included soup (which is seriously delicious). We also tried a couple of their empanadas and they were also top-notch. The service was terrific, and the ambiance was comfortable. La Bonita is great.

When you order at the cash, they bring it out to your car if you're taking it home to eat. They've got two standup tables inside and 3 more outside. Fries were crispy, filling and delicious.
