Their grandma pie is cooked in a sheet pan with olive oil, and comes out beautiful. The crust is excellent. The sauce is excellent. There's the right amount of cheese. If you need a cheesesteak, Bridgeside Deli has got your back. Heck, if you need any kinda sandwich…read moreto ease your soul and fill your tummy, I'd say Bridgeside Deli is a safe bet. Ask around Phoenixville for the best local cheesesteak, and you'll almost always hear Bridgeside's name thrown in the mix. Despite being incredibly close to our house, we seem to always miss their opening hours. Recently, we decided it was finally our time to visit Bridgeside Deli and Grille! This family owned and operated institution is a small but mighty operation. Their menu is extensive - lots of great options, sure to please all the palates. If you dream, I bet Bridgeside Deli can make it a reality. We opted for cheesesteaks. I got a cheesesteak hoagie, and my boyfriend got a Whiz steak witout onions - classic meat and cheese. We opted to pop in, order, and wait. I think we were there less than 10 minutes, so they were incredibly efficient! One sandwich could have easily fed us both - but we're not one's deny ourselves. I love my cheesesteak hoagie. The bread was a homerun, which can make or break a cheesesteak. You can order ahead, if you don't want to pop in and wait. They have breakfast sandwiches! I'd be keen to get my hands on one sometime soon. Parking is street parking. There's a few 15 minute loading zones out front, and this should suffice since this isn't the place you'll be enjoying your goodies. Plan to get it to-go - no tables. Hours are a bit odd - like if you want a cheesesteak past 5pm on Saturday, you might be out of luck. Otherwise, just time your visit during open hours, and you're sure have a good trip to Flavortown.

I waited 24 hours to report back since sometimes it takes a few hours for any cross contamination to hit my body... even a little bit of gluten would have made me sick by now, but I feel great so I'm ecstatic to have such a fabulous restaurant nearby that offers gluten free options. My husband had the bang bang shrimp for an app and said it was excellent tasting. Jambalaya was his dinner and it was also delish, as well as enough for an entire extra meal. The jambalaya was also gluten free so I was able to enjoy a few bites of it too.

My born-and-raised-in-Philly partner and I spent the weekend in Maryland, helping my parents with some things. On the way home to PA, because it was bonkers hot, we were tired, and neither of us was interested in cooking, I asked, "What do you want for dinner?" "HOAGIES." He didn't even pause. So, hoagies, it was to be. But from where? There's a chain place nearby, but their offerings have, of late, been disappointing. SO: Yelp - Hoagies - Sort By "Rating" - Yohn's Grocery. It was on. When we were about 20 minutes from home, I put in our order. We walked through the door and the driver arrived about five minutes later. Everything we got -- gravy fries, mozzarella sticks, and a turkey club -- was great. But the hoagie? The hoagie was off-the-charts good. Philly Perfect. And it's right in our backyard! How did we not know? This is now our go-to hoagie joint. Hands down, the best.
