A large group of us booked Stand Up Paddleboards...so many that we had to go at back to back times b/c there were only so many physical boards available.
The rental was simply, the activity was fun - a little hard if the wind picked up, but we all made it back to shore and most of us would go again!
The staff however....hmm. When I arrived at the rental desk, I asked the gentleman if the restrooms were for customers (as there is a huge sign that reads "No Public Restroom") or just for the employees? He looked me and said grumbled "Yeah, you can use it"
After all three families signed in and got all our paperwork done, I asked if they had a "key hook" or place to put the car keep to keep it safe/dry. Again Mr Friendly said "Yeah, fine"
About 5 minutes later he was off doing something and a young lady was working the desk, incredibly polite, said the other folks could use the bathrooms no problem.
Don't forget - you MUST pay the park entrance fee ($10 I think) before you can access the boat launch and Flatwater Paddle Co location. read more
