The portions here could possibly fill the flatbed of a Ford! If you're looking for reasonably priced, hearty fare for the most important meal of the day, look no further. We got a few orders to go. Everything was securely packaged in Styrofoam containers. I had the flatbed burrito. With the burrito it is made enchilada style with your choice of sauce and I was happy that they could make it Xmas style with red and green sauce. It was such a delicious looking breakfast when I opened up my container! The sauce was neatly poured over both sides of the burrito, and was oh so good. The burrito itself was well seasoned with generous portions of potatoes, carnitas, eggs, jalapenos, bell peppers and cheese. Good stuff! My husband and I were in route home after a relaxing month in the Phoenix area and decided to make Winslow our destination for a quick leg stretch and pit stop that included food and fuel. We visited the "Standing on a Corner" statues and a local musician recommended the Flatbed Ford cafe telling us he had heard good reviews of this new locally owned restaurant. Locals and tourists were in abundance at this local eatery which is always a good sign for weary travelers. We were seated promptly, drinks were ordered and our orders were taken. My husband ordered the burger and I was in the mood for a BLT. We both had the waffle fries as our side and received full plates within a few minutes of ordering. I always judge the BLT by the crispiness of the bacon and the ripeness of the tomato and both were spot on. My husband gave a rave review of his burger which was plenty large and equally thick. The food, service and friendly smiles will keep the crowds coming back to this local eatery. Restrooms were sparkling clean, parking was in abundance and I have a feeling that this new business will be notching great reviews in the months to come! read more

The servers are very attentive and friendly and ready to get you whatever you need. I was impressed with their customer service. The food was nominal, eggs weee cooked fine, but the sausage was burned and unappetizing as well as the bacon. The hash browns were a no go, they had a funny aftertaste that was just awful. It was a cute restaurant with good service. The food was delicious as I had hoped it to be, and I didn't wait long. The minor issue was that my waffle was cold, but I had no complaints. I ate there the next day as well, ordered the exact same thing, and my waffle was better the second time around. I look forward to eating here again the next time I'm in Winslow. read more

We stopped here for breakfast on a road trip. Atmosphere was nice, restrooms clean, and the waitstaff were friendly and efficient. The food was average (French toast, eggs Benedict, sausage & eggs). Maybe lunch or dinner would be better. The chairs were kind of uncomfy and weird. Metal with super-small, stool-sized seats. read more

Sadly I must leave a negative review. We drove 5 hours to try out this popular spot. I was very pregnant and hoping to get service after driving from Albuquerque. We were seated, however without any offer of drinks or given a menu to look at. My friend and I literally sat for 8 minutes and then both took turns using the bathroom to wash our hands and then 10 more passed. A group of 6 sat down and was offered drinks and given menus, cutlery and even asked what they'd like to order while we waited on... we got up and started to leave, I explained to the server we were leaving as we had not received any service and we're very hungry. She gave a glare and said "I was doing inventory"..... Since when is doing inventory more important than servicing customers as they come? As a server myself, this was absolutely rude and not helpful to the situation. Had she simply listened and apologized, maybe offered a quick order if we were ready (we were definitely ready)... we might have stayed but nope, she was rude and unkind. Winslow is in the middle of nowhere but famous nonetheless (the song). This place is a small and clean cafe right near the corner with statues of musicians Jackson Browne and Glen Frey. Great Route 66 decor with airy but retro vibe. Service was precise (she checked in on all the choices... like eggs over easy would be runny). The menu is comfort food circa 1950 think fried pickles and patty melts. Spicy fried pickle were amazing and we can recommend the salads. Super fast but clearly fresh food. read more

Great place for breakfast. Spent the night at Winslow to check out the Standin' on the Corner and found this cafe. I had the pork chops and eggs and it was very satisfying. I'm originally from Winslow. I decided to the tourist thing and check out the Standing on the corner area. This restaurant was so cute we had to stay and eat. We had a great waitress Kayla. Very cute bed and breakfast that needed some improvements with their service. There wasn't much as far as breakfast. Basically cereal and whole milk, and some pop tarts. We experienced a problem with our lock combination not working the evening we stayed. I left several messages and text with no response until 2:00 p.m. the next day. that being said it's still a very cute room at a great price. The owners just need to be more attentive when problems arise. read more
