The breath taking view of Flat Rock Cellars is worth visiting even if you are not a wine drinking. Looking at the rolling hills of the vineyard made me want to just get one of my own...... that was even before I have taste any wine during our booze day in the area. Daydreaming...... Tasting fee is $5 for 3 wines or you can pay by each sample 2011 Gravity Pinot Noir 2011 The Rusty Shed Chardonnay 2011 Twisted (blended) 2012 Nadaj's Vineyard Riesling Love the spacious tasting room. So spacious and of course with the same stunning view! Staff is polite and friendly.

During the summer of 2017 I had the pleasure of visiting this location twice, once with my partner, and then with my family. I can say this hands down is one of the top 3 wineries I have visited in the region in terms of the view you get on the Beamsville Bench (yes that's a real term haha). You can appreciate the vines from the top of the lookout and on a clear day you easily can see Lake Ontario as well, it makes for some great photo's! One thing to note is that the winery itself isn't big, and in many ways I think that adds to the charm it possess. There are lots of places to sit around and you have the ability to get close up to the vines still even if you haven't booked a tour (but I highly suggest you do). The only thing I would like to see in the future is the ability to offer guests some sort of cheese or meat platter. Other then that everything is great! Ps - If your a lover of white wines this winery does deliver - trust me!

I've wanted to go on a wine tour for a very long time. Toronto Wine Tours made it all happen last Saturday & Flat Rock was the first stop & the best! The knowledge our guide shared with us was worth the trip to Jordan! Great wine, great group, great company & great new friends!

Flat Rock was the first stop on our own little wine tour adventure a couple of weeks ago and I had specifically chosen to visit this winery because of this web post I read here: http://ht.ly/71mtu (wineaccess.ca). This winery has a beautiful spot on the hill, providing an awesome view of the vines and country-side. Inside has large windows allowing in natural light and the outside has some picnic tables for enjoying the outdoors and the pleasant setting. Service was great, the two gals working the counter were both very friendly and one was very passionate about the wines. For the whites, tasted the Riesling, Gewurztraminer, and Twisted which were all light, nice, and crisp. The Twisted is a fun sipping wine due to it's blend of Riesling, Gewurztraminer, and Chardonnay - I quite enjoyed it, would be lovely for summer. For the red, I quite enjoyed the flavours in the Gravity. It's certainly full of taste and earthiness, great for a full dinner or sharing with a special someone. We were very happy with our visit to this beautiful spot and walked away with a couple bottles of wine. Good to know that some types are available at LCBO as well, will definitely buy again! (I'm still hoping to try the Seriously Twisted, they were sold out at the winery)

Wow! What a simply breathtaking vineyard. I came here over the Canada Day long weekend with a group of 14 girls for a bachelorette weekend, and it was a great experience. A sustainable winery with very environmentally-friendly practices, this place is stunning. There's a panoramic view from the tasting balcony that stretches over the vines and pond - simply lovely! The vineyard itself is located in a small town off the QEW called Jordan. When we went, the street the GPS took us down was closed for construction, so we did have a bit of rerouting to do. We called ahead to let them know we were going to be a bit late and they were super sweet and accommodating. When we arrived we were greeted by Alyssa, our incredibly knowledgable and sweet tour guide. She was so passionate and educated about the whole operation and it was a great tour. She kept things simple, but all of us left feeling much more educated about wine. I really enjoyed knowing that they don't use any cork in their wines and that they actually have a crown top on their sparkling - so cool! We sampled some super tasty wines (about 4 different types) and my favourite by far was their Twisted White - a mixture of Riesling, Gewurztraminer Chardonnay. We also chowed down on some cheese plates that were $10 each. I think this would be a beautiful place for wedding photos. I'd love to come back in another few years and taste more of their awesomeness.

Awesome tour by Jacob! Beautiful view of the winery! Very informative...never knew how much there goes into making a bottle of wine! My fave was the Pinot Noir! We visited Niagara Falls for the 4th of July week! So many wineries to choose from and Flat Rock Cellars had good reviews and a Groupon so we figured we'd try it out! Cork Screwed TV happened to be at the winery the same time we were! They were shooting a wine documentary on Pinot Noir! Super cool! Highly recommend this winery!

Do NOT try the Vinology! Horrible and over priced Ontario wine. Much better wineries in the area. Save your gasoline and your time.

Contemporary, nature-driven, and deeply rooted in local ingredients, from vegetables to proteins, you can really taste the freshness in everything. Nothing is overly complex or trying too hard, but each plate is balanced, rich, and built to highlight the main ingredient properly. Every element on the plate actually makes sense together. Nothing extra, nothing wasted. It's minimal, but thoughtful. Subtle, but not forgettable. I liked every dish that came out. (Though personally... maybe a touch too much butter for me ).They also give you sourdough from their RPM Bakery, which pairs really well with the sauces. And I lowkey still miss the sea buckthorn dessert.. Service was amazing. Calm, attentive, and just fits the whole experience. I went with the Garden Drink Pairing (non-alcoholic). Not every drink was for me, but a few stood out and I really appreciated the creativity behind the whole pairing and the effort to mimic the complexity of wine. The pairing complements certain dishes really well, tbh. It was actually fun to taste how both the drink and the dish shift depending on whether I sipped before or after a bite. If you're a wine drinker though, I'd say go for the wine pairing. You'll probably enjoy it more. A very grounded experience overall. Not loud, not flashy, just quietly well done.

Hubby and I often go solo or with friends to enjoy and check out new dining or wineries. Honsberger has become a fave for us. Their patio is wonderful and a good size. They have a quite large fully covered area to the side of the main building, plus then another patio area with tables that have umbrellas. Their pizza is excellent and done in an outdoor pizza oven. They do have other items (mains, salads, appetizers), that are prepared in their main kitchen. One thing we have noticed is that things are taking a bit longer in the Covid world. This is we assume due to precautions taken with cleaning etc. So -- do be patient and just enjoy. We find that they always have some interesting cocktails with their wine as a basis, and some are available in pitcher size as well as by the glass! Reservations for the patio are available via the TouchBistroDine app. You won't find them on OpenTable. The staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. Parking is available at the back and on the side. You do need to have face masks until you get to your table.

We were so excited and looking forward to it. Unfortunately they use multiple agents to rent the space - VRBO, Airbnb, and who knows who else. We emailed back and forth with the owner and he pre-approved us and we booked. Then 16 hours later we get a note saying, oops was booked elsewhere, we are cancelling you. He refunded right away and it took 5 days to come through (FYI). We get that conflicts happen but it took you 16 hours to realize you had a conflict? It really left us out of luck too as we cannot find another property for our dates (and yes the timing matters!) Good thing we had not put down money for wine tastings in the area etc. We hadn't got that far yet. Nonetheless, it was a crushing disappointment and left a bad taste in our mouths. Needless to say will be taking a pass in every way to this winery. Too bad really. We love other places in the Bench. Your loss! PS. Buyer or renter beware. :(
