We did a partial remodel on our master bathroom that turned out fantastic! We moved a bunch of electrical, painted the whole bathroom, and put in a new wall to wall quartz/wood vanity with a center tower. Everything was done within the time allotted (except for one day delay because of pouring rain which is understandable). The vanity and cabinets are extremely high quality, everything is soft close and they even installed surprise pullout drawers under the sinks. We put extra outlets behind everything too so that we could have our cords hidden. Ido and Maor and his team of workers are great, they take the time to finish everything in great detail. They even noticed some incorrect little things that our last remodelers messed up here and there and fixed those as well (even though they weren't contracted to do so). Prices are very reasonable and competitive in the space. You get high quality materials with them for the prices, and no surprises since everything is flat rate. Worked with the Flat Rate Remodeling team to fix a water leak on the roof and also install a floating deck. After getting multiple estimates to fix the leak from multiple companies, I went with Flat Rate because Avi and Maor were extremely thorough and thoughtful in their explanations. They took the time to do multiple inspections and walked me through all of the steps. Of all the contractors, I felt the most comfortable with Flat Rate. Though there were delays in obtaining a permit and receiving materials due to COVID, Tal and Maor communicated with me constantly and provided updates. Flat Rate remodeled my kitchen. This included new counter top, backsplash, sink, and cabinets. Every workman who came was very friendly, efficient, and easy to work with. Avi was at the work site nearly every day. The only comment I would make is the communication was not always good in terms of when workmen were coming. I worked with Tal and Avi about a year ago to add 300 sqft to my home. I waited to write a review to make sure everything from the construction was sound. They were pretty professional and good follow-through. Avi was very efficient with the original plans and setting some expectations. We did have some issues with envisioning the final build design and had to make some changes during framing (I asked for a 3d sketch multiple times, but never received one). I found out the hard way that they do not work or check communications on the weekends (we had a water pipe break and unable to get help). We also had an issue where Tal's email was hacked and I was scammed out of a few thousand dollars by someone posing has her. It was a very uncomfortable experience with Avi and Tal until we figured out that a number of emails weren't actually coming from them. Tal revealed that they had issues with a hacked account but never disclosed this to me. Overall, the work was good (9/10) and done quickly during the 2020 pandemic (10/10), the price was fair - I would tell people that you're paying kind of a premium price for quality work and a contractor that will stay on top of things (8/10), communication of expectations and outcome was ok (7/10). I would refer this team to people if they want quality work, but the price will not be the "cheapest". Also communication needs to be very clear. Avi is kind of "opinionated" so you need to really push for things that you want that he may not agree with. Tal was also kind of pushy trying to get me to write a review before the job was 100% finished (which I did not appreciate). About 8 months after the project was completed we had some issues with exterior stucco coming off the eaves of the roof. I texted Tal and Avi and they repaired it very quickly without question - so job follow-up is excellent (10/10)! Overall I would recommend. read more

We hired flat rate to do a partial remodel of our bathroom. For the most part, they did a good job. The project ended up looking good, was completed on time, and they provided good suggestions for major parts installed, like the vanity and tile. Their workers were able to pick up and haul away supplies too. Two issues where we feel they could improve is communication about the project and attention to detail. They never provided us with a detailed timeline of the project, but would update us the day before (usually after we had to ask about what happens next). For a working family, this is not ideal for planning your time. Also, we had to request certain things be done, otherwise they never would have done them, like putting silicon between the tile and bottom of the tub, sealing the grout, and making sure our countertop was properly positioned. While they fixed everything we asked them to do, if you wouldn't know what needed to be fixed, they would just assume the project is done. Overall I would say they did well and I'd recommend using them for projects, but ensure you look at the details of the project as it progresses and request in advance a daily timeline for the scope of work to adequately plan your schedule. read more

We had a complete Bathroom blow out and remodeling done by Flat Rate Remodeling, including new bath, new standalone shower, porcelain flooring and wall tile. Suffice to say that we are absolutely ecstatic with the entire project from beginning to end, and the result is amazing. After interviewing and receiving bids from 6 contractors, (as well as a company who had done a very nice remodel for us previously); we decided on Flat Rate. We are extremely pleased with that decision. We knew immediately upon meeting our Project Manager, Avi Amar, that his vision and ideas were beyond anything else that had been suggested by other companies. The knowledge that Avi had regarding materials, along with the samples that he was able to show us and pictures/prior recommendations, clearly demonstrated that in Avi we were dealing with a true professional. We also clicked with Avi right away as he seemed to be a very caring and genuine individual, vs. many of the other contractors who we met. Unfortunately; I had to make a very difficult call to Avi and tell him that we decided to go a different direction, after we compared all the quotes; he was too high. We agreed to meet with Avi to show him all of our other quotes. He correctly pointed out all of the differences in materials, configurations, and worked with us to scale a quote that was within our price range, and was actually better than the other quotes once we compared apples to apples. The most important thing was that Flat Rate guaranteed that price. (With our previous remodel experience, we were getting new estimates and change orders daily). Flat Rate and Avi were true to their word. In fact the job did end up requiring additional work that was not projected initially; but Avi and Flat Line stayed true to their promise. We did not pay one penny more than the original quote, and we got more than we could have expected. Flat Rate brought in the absolute best Subs I have ever worked with in 15 years of having work done on this house. These workers were skilled masters and artist tradesmen who were all extremely competent, friendly, respectful of our home. The Bathroom that Flat Rate remodeled is now the most beautiful space in our home. Two months later, I still come home after work and just go to that bathroom to gaze at how beautiful it came together. I was extremely distrustful of the contractors who we had gotten bids from, and although i initially liked Avi, I was still apprehensive... until the work began, and we saw the quality of the people and workmanship being provided by Flat Rate. We now consider Avi a friend, and i would recommend Flat Rate enthusiastically! In fact I have recommended Flat Rate to neighbors and friends. So I just finished a complete kitchen remodel with Flat Rate in my small condo. I did a lot of research and got quotes from several contractors before choosing them. The thing that ultimately made me choose them was the great communication which continued throughout the project. Stay away from these people they have been working on my house for 4 months on a 3 week job. They will charm you in the beginning and screw you in the end. They are only concerned about a fast profit and not a quality satisfactory job. They use the cheapest workers that are unskilled. I have had to act as the project manager, inspector and police officer to get the owner to fix all of the mistakes on my house. Warning the owner's are very nice in the beginning but it's all a front we almost came to blows twice and I had to remove one of them from my property. I know that I will have to take them to court. As a customer you want to relax and know that the contractor is going to provide quality work on schedule. These people send incompetent workers to your house who don't know what they're doing then you have to chase the owner down here promises to make corrections and send another set of workers that he finds on the corner to screw things up even more! Then has the nerve to tell me that I'm too picky wtf? Lesson if the price seems to good to be true there's a reason! Run from these people! read more
