FOOD - Half Rack Ribs & 4 Bone In -- Ribs: we chose the BBQ chiltepin sauce. The meat was very tender and the sauce was good. I like how they cut up the ribs. It made for easier eating. 4.5/5 -- Wings: we went with mango habanero. Sweet but spicy, topped with chopped mango. 4.5/5 - Chicken Sandwich with a side of Mac salad -- Chicken Sandwich. Your choice of grilled or fried chicken. I always go fried. Someone said this was the best chicken sandwich they've ever had so I had to order it. It was good but definitely not the best I've had. It's like a step up from your school lunch chicken patty sandwich. 3.75/5 -- Mac salad: pretty good. 4/5 SERVICE: Fast and friendly. The young lady at the register was welcoming and patient. 5/5 FINAL THOUGHTS: I would definitely come back. The food was good and the price and service were great.

Fast, hot, fresh food. Order at the counter, then find a seat. I love their sweet potato fries. I love that they have a little crunch and are not soggy. I Got the Parmesan wings again today, delicious! I also tried the onion rings this time and they were good as well.

Katie N.

I had the grilled chicken sandwich and chicken was juicy. It was served with cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and I requested to hold the onion. They have tons of flavors of sauces for the wings. My coworker shared a rib and it was delicious. If you are a chicken or rib lover, this is a nice casual spot.

Extremely friendly staff, & everyone seems to enjoy their jobs. Upon entering you're hit with a delicious smell from the kitchen thats preparing some amazing flavorful wings. With many flavors to choose from, although I wishes they offered a dry rub. The 4 piece fish & fish hit the spot, so happy they offer sweet potato fries cut thin hot & fresh. Next rime the pork belly is a must

Honestly, there are some really well done things here, and i'd say the style, presentation and decor are the more superior, to be perfectly honest. The food is good, and unfortunately I can't say it's the best I've had, but they do a generously great job, overall. Let's jump back to the decor... This place is an absolute museum of all things 'airport' style. Runway lights, pictures, airline chairs, imagery everywhere, trashcans repurposed, etc.etc.. VERY well done visually and all in my party agreed they did a phenomenal job at this. The food was good, but just not outstanding. I hate to say that but it didn't differentiate from most any other 'wing' joint; and I was truly expecting succulent, large, full flavored wings. Did't see that. They were good, not memorable. Will definitely have to go back and try it again as one visit is just not a fair representation IMO. But again, enjoyable, hot, endless drinks and smiling Wait Staff. The restaurant was very clean and extremely appealing visually. The menu was pretty full and varied - which I like to see. I wished we coulda' had some drinks to enjoy the meal more but we were famished and just focused on the food as we had no spare time socially. I commend the design of the restaurant and will have to go back for a second try. I appreciated the point of discounts at check out so that is a plus! Additionally, I want to recognize a review by Eric D from 2023 that I think gave a good representation on the Korean Short Ribs... Please check out his review.

We were in town of a soccer tournament and after a long day my son was craving some BBQ. A quick Yelp search led us here. The place is tucked away in a nondescript location. There is plenty of seating, but the place is busy so you'll probably have to stand for a bit before grabbing a table. There are plenty of tvs to catch a game. We went with the pork belly, buffalo wings, and Korean BBQ ribs. The pork belly was very chewy, it really took some work. Not our favorite of the three. The wings were well cooked and had a nice spice, flavorful but not hot. These were solid wings... They didn't stand out as the best ever, but we enjoyed them and would get them again. The Korean BBQ ribs... Five stars all around. Cooked perfectly, super tender. The sauce was perfect. Balanced, tasty, and oh so good!

Cher C.

Food here really wasn't all that. Korean BBQ Ribs were tasty. However, sweet potato fries were burnt; Corn over-season, not fresh & over cooked. Onion Rings were great! Boneless Chicken Parmesan wings good. $40+ table. Would I be back? Only for Ribs/Rings, maybe. Just so many options in Tucson, mediocre isn't really good enough.

Marcus C.

Food and service always great. Atmosphere is lively and casual. Wings are wet sauced - no dry rubs - topped with real fruits or meats - this really separates this wing place from the competition! I like most flavors but wish the chorizo was more well done as I prefer it almost burnt and crunchy. Tried a flavor-of-the month, Spicy Colada, which was basically mango habanero but with less heat and topped with coconut flakes - very good.

I visited Flaps and Racks based on other reviews. It was very good! I had the garlic Parmesan wings. Best I've had in a while! The whole menu looked great. Wish I had more time on this trip to sample the menu. The staff were very friendly!

Melissa E.

Every time I've been here it's been delicious. It's more on the heavy side but it's a meal for once in a while for sure. You have to try the ribs and flying fries! The ribs can be order in a variety of flavors. Don't forget to order more ranch they never give enough for the amount of food they serve, the portion ratio is off in my opinion.

Anna T.

Great service and delicious pork belly! It's a really cool place inside and they have an extensive menu. The pork belly came with 6 big pieces and some dipping sauce of your choice. I recommend both the bbq and the chiltepin bbq. The later had a good vinegar bit to it, which reminded me a little of the Carolinas. It's attached to an açaí bowl place which confused me at first (because they currently have to share a door). I can't wait to go back and try the wings and some of the other things on the menu.

Rome L.

Cool concept, love that they have repurposed airline seats and galley carts around the restaurant. I had the pork belly, which was delicious, but for $13 I firmly believe this should come with a side, even if it's just fries. Luckily I was able to steal some fries from my mom's fish platter. Fries were solid, and the cod was seasoned really well also. This is an order at the counter and seat yourself establishment, but the food runners were in top of it, and willing to bring extra sides/sauces upon request. Will try to come back and try the wings and ribs next time.

Betsy M.

Hungry after a flight pick up we decided to try this place on a Sunday mid afternoon. I was surprised at how busy it was given the time of day. We ordered a salad, a chicken sandwich combo and some onion rings. Food came out quick and was made to order and fresh. The onion rings were GREAT. We will come back to try the wings!

If I could give them 10 stars, I would! My husband is working in Tucson, he loves wings. I googled restaurants near his hotel and this gem popped up. This place has the perfect vibe. Cute, clean and friendly staff. The owner greeted us which is always a Plus Plus. Now let's get to the food... absolutely delicious. So many sauces to choose from, elote on point, chicken wings cooked to perfection, fresh crispy onion rings. Big screen tv's to watch sports. Super great wings. The attention to detail is amazing here. I'm watching one of the employees clean the crack between the seat and chair backs. Who does that? They do it here. I stay at the Hilton across the street 3 or 4 times a year and always thought by the name that it's something seedy it's not. It's one of the coolest eating spaces I've been in in a while. I got the bbq wings. The sauce is sweet and sticky and the wings are crispy, juicy, and messy. Get the 8 piece combo for $12 it's the best deal in town. They also serve Korean ribs, burgers, and share the space with an acai bowl/smoothie place if you want to eat healthy. But who wants to do that? read more

Came to Flaps and Racks for Valentines Day It did not disappoint. The place was packed they had a beautiful assortment of flowers at the register which was a nice touch for the vibe of the day. The food was delicious everything was hot and fresh this was our second visit we tried different flavors this time. I got the chorizo Wing combo it was amazinggg. I thought I loved the Pizza flavor but this one was 10 times better. It hit the spot by far my favorite flavor it was so delicious!!! We also got the flavor of the month which was Chinese BBQ it was really sweet and sticky but overall it was pretty good. I'd like to try it next time on the pork belly instead of chicken. We tried the flying corn it was so delicious if you go it is a must-try. This is our new spot we love Flaps and Racks the atmosphere is great and we love supporting our local businesses! We'll definitely be back to continue to try more flavors and update more of our photos to share with our fellow yelpers! read more

Service was amazing and food cooked to order. Let's start with the main event: the wings. These bad boys are big. Not your average, skimpy winglets--these are full, meaty, and satisfying with every bite. The skin is perfectly crispy, the kind that crunches just right and still locks in that juicy tenderness underneath. But what really sets them apart is the sauce. It's a "sweet heat" situation that hits all the right notes--just enough sugar to balance out the spice, and just enough spice to keep you coming back for more. It doesn't overpower; it enhances. On the side, don't sleep on the fries. These aren't frozen, run-of-the-mill throwaways--they're homemade, golden, and seasoned with care. You can taste the difference, and they round out the meal in the most satisfying way. Whether you're a wing connoisseur or just hungry for something legit, CP's Wings makes it worth the trip. Crispy, saucy, and seriously delicious.

Flaps and Racks absolutely knocked it out of the park! We tried both the boneless and traditional bone-in wings, and everything came out hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. You can tell they take pride in serving quality food that hasn't been sitting around. On top of that, the service was fantastic -- friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. It's not always easy to find a place that nails both great food and great service, but Flaps and Racks definitely delivers on both. We'll definitely be back for more wings soon! read more

Time to go back and review. I like to revisit places after a few years and see what is different…read more Smoky Mo didn't disappoint. Places are successful because they stay the course and do what they do best. Today we went with the four meat platter, perfect amount for two people, brisket, pulled pork, turkey and sausage. With four side of coleslaw, mac and cheese, potato salad and cornbread. All meats are still sauced unless requested "on the side", but not so much to overwhelm the meat taste. Juicy flavorful pulled pork. Delicious smoked turkey. Brisket was just slightly dry but the sauce and nice bark made it enjoyable. The sausage was AMAZING, juicy and packed with flavor. Coleslaw in my opinion, could use a little more "wetness" but it was still delicious. What can I say about the mac and cheese and potato salad, people from the south, Texas to the Carolina's just know how to get it done. The "Texas Sweet Tea", if you are a diabetic do not drink, however this is a true southern tea, it's done the same all across the south, sugar with some tea thrown in. Four meats, four sides and two drinks with tip $50, not bad for two people, I've definitely spent more for food that didn't even come close to this. Once again Smoky Mo you did not disappoint. If you are a BBQ person this is STILL the best of Tucson. Get out and support this small local business!

I'm very familiar with how burnt ends are made and I know if they didn't have them they didn't have them, but they cut up some brisket for me and sauced it. Good effort. So let's talk about the different components of the combo plate. I try to order the smallest quantity of all the meats when I'm at a new BBQ joint. The brisket was good, but not great. I wanted more bark on the brisket. The ribs were good and not overcooked. The pulled pork and chicken wings were awesome. The pulled pork was flavorful and not dried out. The chicken wings were what appeared to me perfectly cooked, excellent flavor and texture. It may be a good thing for them to offer a Buffalo sauce side with blue cheese/ranch. Maybe an opportunity? The sides, I had the coleslaw, mac & cheese, and Texas Toast. The coleslaw was average ie cabbage mix and some mayo based dressing? The mac & cheese was very good. I wanted the cheese sauce to be thicker. They did put a Tucson twist on it by adding a Mexican cheese to it.The Texas Toast was cooked to perfection. I would guess their grill cheese is amazing.
