It sounds like a seafood place, but we ordered meat. Baby Back Ribs, and Prime steak. The decor is somewhere between a honky tonk and a fisherman's ornamentation. That's okay but the music is so loud it makes you want to hurry and leave. But you may come back for the food. The ribs were as good as it gets; the meat fell off the bones with delicious BBQ sauce. I came here because I was in the area and really needed a bite to eat. I was with my dog so I sat outside at the bar. The cashier taking orders on the phone when I walked in was very very nice to me & prompted the host to seat me outside. Both of those ladies were nice and kind. Now when I went out back, the restaurant wasn't packed at all. I sat at the bar and waited a full 17 minutes without being acknowledged. Two male servers were behind the bar as I signaled them for a menu. They didn't offer a cup of water. Both of them lazily told me they'd be with me in a bit. Again, they were not busy at all. They left the bar unattended with it half full of guests also waiting on service. A couple sat down next to me after about ten minutes of me sitting there and also got up and left. I decided to do the same after I realized I had been there for so long without an ounce of acknowledgment. As I walked out, I brought it up to the cashier who had greeted me when I walked in. She tried to have me to stay and promised she would get me taken care of. She even followed me outside and apologized for the lack of service. I really appreciated that but the damage was done. The only reason they have my two star review is because of those ladies. I would understand if the restaurant wasn't busy but the two servers who jilted me as I waited on service were completely wrong for their rude and inhospitable behavior. read more

Stopped in for lunch and ended up spending most of the afternoon due to a delayed outbound flight. Marc at the bar was fantastic! During our 5 hour visit, we tried Joe's Rockin Rib Rolls - fantastic rib meat, pork, onion, and a sweet bar-b-que sauce wrapped in a deep fried egg roll. So much better than my description- not too heavy, not too sweet. Truly tasty. After a few hours, we split a burger OMG incredible! The meat was cooked to perfection, we added bacon & cheese. The flavor of the meat was lovely without added heavy seasoning. It may be a while before I get back to Fort Lauderdale, and I'll definitely be making a stop at Flanigan's read more

Came to Flanigans with a large group after work and had a good meal. I ordered the terriyaki chicken sandwich and it was very good. I got it with sweet potato fries and those were amazing. We had the wings as an appetizer and they were so good. Very crispy on the outside and packed with meat. We got them medium but could not taste much heat at all. The other side of the table ordered hot and they were better and had a little kick, nothing too spicy. The staff was very accommodating with our big group although they were a little rude at first when we came in. She did well though and came around often. read more

The girl behind the bar was fine . Until we decided to just eat at the bar. We told her we wanted to order food. She said ok, gave us menus and we never saw her again. She went to the inside bar. And out came a guy who totally got everything wrong. Even when he fixed his mistakes he messes up. I'm not saying don't go there but I'm saying they can do better. And they have i think they should spend some more time training their help. If you've seen any of my other reviews you'll see I'm not hard to please. I forgive most mistakes or slow service. Had a great experience here on a recent Saturday night out with friends. Our server Paul went above and beyond to make sure we had a great meal. We never had to ask for refills for anything and dirty dishes were removed right away. Food ordered was ribs, burgers, wings, garlic rolls, clam chowder, garlic roll, salad with chicken and i had the pasta salad with a scoop of tuna which was huge and enough for three meals and so good! We enjoyed a few drinks as well and took advantage of their evening Happy Hour prices. The prices for their food are so reasonable and they have great lunch specials during the week for only $6.99. This definitely isn't a place to go for gourmet food but the food they do offer is very good. I will say that I'd been to the Flanigan's in Davie and had a much different (not for the better) experience. Will definitely be back! read more

The service was quick and the place was calm for a Sunday Flannigans rarely changes their menu. But this was a great idea! The staff at Flanagan's is always good but the food? yuck. I have been to Flannigan's many times over the years and it has has gone down, down, down. I go there once a week with friends for lunch and would not bother but for them. Take today. If you are going to serve hot food at least try and serve it on hot plates otherwise you are going to be serving cold food. Never heard of a salamander? I ordered a coffee, which was luke warm at best. When I asked for a hot one the waiter returned with the excuse they couldn't make any more as they had run out of filters. Sounds bizarre. A microwave would help. Next, clam chowder, warm but on a cold dish, so, soon cold. Next, cheese burger, all up with fries. Again, cold fries, cold plate, Toasted bun that was cold, overcooked meat also cold. You know what happens to cheese slices when you put them on hot meat? They melt, not these ones. All in, not a pleasant meal. One thing I noticed, most finished plates being returned from other tables were NOT empty. It was as if the food were not to the diners taste. As to my companions, no smiles about the food, a little sparing on praise as one of our company paid and it would not be seemly to complain . Was today an exception? Flanigan's is a south Florida classic. It's also good for a relaxing dinner, and for watching games. The Weston location is BY FAR the best with the outdoor covered patio seating right on the lake. Even on hot days, the breeze from the lake makes it nice. I usually alternate between the wings (some of the best in the area) and the Giuseppe's para depending on my mood, but I decided to try something different and get the lemon chicken and pasta based on our server's recommendation. The flavor was great, but it was very buttery/greasy. It's worth a try, but the wings are still my favorite. Flanigan's is also one of the few restaurants where I'm willing to splurge on dessert. The Flanigan's Shenanigan is incredible. Easily one of the best desserts out there read more
