Friendly and family owned. Great ace to stay for long term type stays such as hunting and those that are working in the area.

So, how to start. First, let's realize what this place is. An outdated MOtel in a small town that…read moreonly realizes business from roughnecks and weary travelers that have no alternative. I only needed a bed for one night, and the reality of the other two hotels with no vacancy left me with no choice. Location is on the corner of the highway and the Main Street of town, so be prepared for traffic noise. My room was reasonably clean but the air was quite stale when entering. Rooms are equipped with a small flat screen, cable with HBO, telephone, microwave, fridge, and a coffee pot. All of which I would have gladly traded for wifi. Ice is located in the office which I am pretty sure came out of the ice maker in the owners fridge. I have stayed in comparable motels of this class for half the price. Being charged $65, you might be better served pressing on if you are just passing through or seeking something more upscale. The other hotels were all booked up, but the flamingo looked promising and the clerk was super friendly but I can't confirm any info except my first impression. All in all, I would say that I don't have any major complaints as far as cleanliness, equipment working, or basic needs. But I do feel that I was overcharged for what this is.

The room was very comfortable and there is breakfast included in the price of the room. There are many restaurants to choose from in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. I would definitely make this a frequent stop on my road trips cross country.

Interior: the entire hotel was very clean and had a nice appearance. I utilized the board room for classes and it was the perfect size as well as clean. The breakfast area was always clean. It is a little confusing as there is a "bar" area to the left of the entrance that has juice and coffee available. I wasn't sure I could go back there, but the staff let me know it was perfectly fine. Room: the room was far more spacious than I expected and very clean. It was exceptionally comfortable for both working and relaxing. The only complaint I have is that the walls were pretty thin. I could hear the running feet from the floor above me and once in a while, heard others from above. There were just enough power outlets for each of my devices, which is nice. Breakfast: it was a good breakfast, though it didn't change at all. It would be nice to have a little variety each day. Staff: they were all wonderful! They were able to provide me information about the local area, such as restaurants, shopping, etc. Everyone was very personable and professional. Wi-fi: I had no issues with the wi-fi the entire time. For being in a such a small town, I had expected some, but it was flawless! Overall, this is a very nice hotel and I would utilize it again if I need to come back to this area.

I am not from the area, nor am comfortable just going into a random store to ask for quarters. I just drove 1200 miles. The 100% satisfaction guarantee doesn't apply to even simple change. To top it off, my door latch has issues; to the point of working about 1 in 10 attempts. Key card works, but the latch isn't catching to open the door. So now, my clothes are in a washer that I can't use whilst i wait for Maintenance that is not located on site. Understandable, since it's 550pm, but I cannot get into my room. Room isn't fixed; I have to lift the latch a certain way til check-out. As for the quarters, the local gas station said no and that this isn't the first time someone from the hotels have asked. So here I am, a POC in a rural town, driving around, not from here, after a 1200 mile journey, looking for quarters. Hampton, live up to the satisfaction guarantee so a Gold HH guest doesn't have to feel so uncomfortable. Ill be traveling around 60 nights next year, so lets hope the Hampton brand (which is most common in areas I travel through) has more prepared locations. Ill be back thru town in 2 weeks.
